roguefrog Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 F-Zero GX (Gamecube) It's pretty intense. When I played it, I'd always grip the controller really tight and leave it covered in sweat. It was very challenging, but I was able to unlocked everything. I need ludicrous speed for racing games to be any fun. (Like over 2,000k per hour)
EnderAndrew Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Diddy Kong Racing on the N64 is far too much fun for a game that silly.
Guest Fishboot Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Super Monaco GP on Genesis. The "modern" racing games (GT, Forza) basically serve to make me want to buy a really expensive force feedback racing wheel, except I never actually do.
Mr. Brightside Posted July 28, 2005 Author Posted July 28, 2005 As I said I can drive GT without a wheel. I only need a gamepad.
Gorth Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Carmageddon (+Splat Pack) (w00t) The only racing game that suited my tastes in driving “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Musopticon? Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Yeah, with a nasty streak. Driving over innocent, destroying property and other participants was a mainstay for cash and gear. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Gorth Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 What type of racing is it? Rally? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmageddon “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Mr. Brightside Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 What type of racing is it? Rally? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmageddon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is no racing game! (It wouldn't be a good racing game for me!)
alanschu Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 It was interesting that you didn't get time extensions for checkpoints, but for damage caused
Mr. Brightside Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 Ehh, how is my new signature? Great or? (w00t) :D

Mr. Brightside Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 Do you think NFS Most Wanted will be a great game? I have never played a NFS game completely. I only tried it sometimes on my friends' computer. It has nothing for me.
kirottu Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Stunts <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could build your own tracks in it, right? This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Mr. Brightside Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 Do you know Trackmania? You can also build your own circuits in it.
BattleCookiee Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Yeah, but it is not as good as Stunts Well, except for the graphics (but that seems logical, around 10 years later)
mkreku Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 I've played Trackmania and Trackmania: Sunrise, and I can definitely recommend Trackmania: Sunrise. It's not as much a racing game, but it does feel like driving when you're steering your vehicles through the insane courses. The goal of (some) of the game is to find the quickest route through the loops and wild stuff the game throws at you. Sometimes that means driving over the edge of a cliff and sometimes you just need to do the totally unexpected. Great fun nonetheless. You can also design your own circuits (very easily) and trade them over the internet. Multiplayer is also a lot of fun. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
nitropowah Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Sounds like a must get I'll definetly look into it.
Mr. Brightside Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 There is another new game like Trackmania. But I forgot the name. "
