alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 You've only been registered for a short time......so I still smash you to goo with my total post count
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 bah i've already passed some people who have been regestered much longer than me. But hey i still haven't passed jodo but i'm getting close. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
EnderAndrew Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Post count is irrelevant (except in T.O.M.B.S.)
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 so according to my PPD I RULE ALL YOU HAXORS!!!!! Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 My posts per day is misleading, as you'll find few posts from between March and July. It'll be hard to catch up with my current trend of 200 :flex:
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I was doing 35-39 per day for a couple a weeks but I've cut back. I haven't checked where it is now. To add to the dicussion, I mentioned this in the #6 thread but because nobody will even try to slog through all the pages to find it here it goes, I want to see some babies, these would make the world seem real, and you would be able to tell that the republic is actually getting on it's feet after a series of wars. They are prosperous eanough to have kids so.... Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 A variety of character models could help in making the world seem more alive and immersive.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I just wanted to put some perspective on things.... But I'll make sure to not lapse down to "their" level again. Permission to smack me upside the head if I do.
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Perhaps in #3 we could go back to taris and visit the promised land... They left that pretty well open. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Hmmmm...except I got the impression that Taris was pretty annihilated.
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 well the city was, and unless the entire planet was a city (It may have been in one of those little loading screen thingy's) the Outcast's could have survived. I highly doubt that any sort of plant life could grow in such a dark uban enviroment. as the undercity was. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
EnderAndrew Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I'd like to see predominately new cities and if we're going to Unknown Space to deal with the True Sith, I think we'll get several new planets.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 well the city was, and unless the entire planet was a city (It may have been in one of those little loading screen thingy's) the Outcast's could have survived. I highly doubt that any sort of plant life could grow in such a dark uban enviroment. as the undercity was. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure the planet's name was Taris, and that it was Taris the planet they are talking about when they say Taris has been annihilated.
Calax Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 eh... it could be a tutorial zone. You grow up as an outcast only to learn that you are in fact the evil steptwin of Revan's granddaughters, uncles, cousins, former roommate.... Ok bad joke, but really it could be a tutorial. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
EnderAndrew Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Yep, Malak supposedly destroyed an entire planet with a ship despite Han Solo saying several thousand years later the entire Imperial fleet couldn't destroy an entire planet.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Errr, I don't think Taris the planet is gone. It's just been bombarded to bits. A lot like Telos. And he had a whole fleet blockading the planet, so it wasn't just one ship.
EnderAndrew Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 True, but I thought it was a bit cliche none the less not to mention over the top. I can understand a city destroyed. But understand that London was bombed all throughout WWII and still survived the years of bombing. A planet's surface is huge, and it's hard to imagine an entire planet's surface completely destroyed just like that.
Darque Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Yep, Malak supposedly destroyed an entire planet with a ship despite Han Solo saying several thousand years later the entire Imperial fleet couldn't destroy an entire planet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And? That was "now" And they didn't have the starforge
EnderAndrew Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Technology is supposed to get better as time marches forward.
alanschu Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Technology is supposed to get better as time marches forward. Which would explain the dark ages.
jaguars4ever Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Hmmmmmm......so how can we work Darque's love story middle into our male, testosterone packed beginnings and end Ender? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like love and happiness... ...with a touch of Rambo style destruction of course!
Archmonarch Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Technology is supposed to get better as time marches forward. Which would explain the dark ages. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. Simply imagine where we would be today if not for that approx 800 year period. Stupid Church/Germanic Barbarians. <_< And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had
