henry30
The Handmaiden's told me I have to free my friends myself, but it seems that I can't do it. There is no Consol or terminal that I could use to lower the force fields and I can't talk to any of my companion's except T3, but no help there. How do I leave the acedemy?? Cassidy
Once you locate Atton and the others a dialogue with Kreia is supposed to start. Toward the end of this dialogue you say "I'll free you now" or some variant, then they're free. If this is not working for you, it's a bug. henry30
No, it doesen't. Kreia and Atton are still at the Entrance were we enetered the Academy. I can't speak to Kreia at all and Atton just gives me 2 options, 1) Cheat: Directly start conversation with Artis or 2) Cheat: Continue to talk to Handmaiden (or something like that). I discovered two more captured in Force fields. T3 (whom I can talk to) and the mechanic I just met on Telos surface (Can't spell the name right now)., but he seems to be unconcious. If it is a bug, does anyone know how to get around it?
Cassidy
It's definately a bug. I suggest reloading your last save from before you entered the acadamy.
Heckur
It's a known bug. Search this forum for answers (I'm too lazy to do it for you). There is a patch for it on the site where they restore the cut contents (www.gizka.org or something like that). First patch your game, then reload a game from before entering the acadamy. If you don't want to patch your game, just reload as Cassidy advised and don't choose the second menu option "Alright, we mean no harm" when entering the acadamy. cipher_nemo
*bump* Sorry to bump this old thread, but doing a search is a wonderful thing, and bumping an old thread is better than rehashing an old topic in a new thread. I never ran the game without the latest patch. This is *still* a bug and it happened to me even though I didn't do anything unusual. However, I explored the area fully and talked to Atton (stupid buggy "cheat" responses, so was forced to click "continue conversation with Kreia") before talking with the last of the "Jedi counsel", A???, whatever her name. I will have to reload from before entering the military base. *sigh* A lot of time I waste in the buggy KotOR II. Obsidian really did rush through this (I wish BioWare worked on this sequel instead). Sturm
usually you come across a few odd bugs that screw up your game, doing it the second time usually corrects these errors yes i also with bioware, made k2 as well, but obsidian did alright considering their situation
cipher_nemo
usually you come across a few odd bugs that screw up your game, doing it the second time usually corrects these errors I reloaded from an auto-save right before/when the southern polar region area loads. I entered, talked with the 3 Echani at the entrance, then visited Atris and quicksaved before talking to her. I then ran through response for Light Side points and to offer help, and was 'escorted' by the Echani away from Atris. At this point I noticed an Echani with her hood down was the one speaking to Atris. I reloaded from my quicksave, ran through the same responses, then noticed an Echani with her hood up was speaking to Atris. Odd. Glitch? Bug? Any ways, I proceeded to release my "friends", but once again I was stuck and could not initiate a conversation with Kreia, nor get her conversation with me to trigger. I was stuck again. Grrrrr! At this point I'm really getting frustrated with Obsidian's buggy software. I'm going to load my military base save now and save in may be 6 slots right before I take the spacecraft to the southern polar region. This is getting annoying. Sturm
explore around, and you'll find out that the handmaiden with the hood down is of significance, not a glitch
WILL THE ALMIGHTY
yes. her name is handmaiden. but she has a real name and will only give it to you once then she won't say it anymore. *cough* Brianna *encough*      "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
HK-47_THE_MEATBAG_KILLER
i tried the "we mean you no harm" dialogue just to see what would happen, and i still got the cutscene with kreia. atton's cage, however, was empty. when i finished the convo with atris, i went back to the entrance and atton was laying on the ground. i went and talked to him, and he got up and said something about being tired and that he was alright. convo ends, and i talk to him again. he insists that he is alright, and i gain LS points and influence w/ him. i could do this an endless number of times & maxed out my influence. he wouldnt follow me though. i went to the holding cells and atton appeared there and everything went normal. is this a similar glitch? i heard mentioned somewhere about and easter egg in the academy, but wasnt sure if this was it or what... darth_yoda2828
yea ive had this glitch before. I actually just did it again, but said "No one disarms me" instead of "WE mean you no harm" and it un-glitched. No LS for the first one though... <_<
