While I'm not saying anything bad about CG, I must say that one of the things that makes A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi so great was the fact that even though there were lots of special effects it was still mostly real actors and therefore more believable.

Your either blind or stupic, all the character in the original movies were either actors or puppets, they were made from solid matter, there were no computers used therefore they were more believable in my opinion.

This assumes that the image that you saw was reliable; a true representation of real matter. It also requires that you can reliably tell the difference between real objects and imagery, through the degree of separation that is the medium of film. It also requires that the universe is constant. And that you are constant.

But the Death Star Gunners seem pretty bad ass. They managed to shoot down a lot of X- and Y-wings.

Clones 100% of the way. And not the CGI ones only, the ones that were actually worn by people...plus Stormtroopers shouldn't be trusted with a blaster, more like a rock and stick...

The Clones probably represent more of an army, hence the Clone Wars, while the storm troopers are seen as assault troops in small groups in the movies with Luke Skywalker.

Stormtroopers are cooler. I feel they have more personality then their earlier clonetrooper counterparts. Plus, I'd be much more scared of a stormtrooper coming at me then a clonetrooper. The stormtrooper helmet is kinda creepy...
