Arnkell Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Can anyone help me? I'm trying to autopatch from the In-game updater but the LucasArts FTP just stands still for ten minutes and then the window tells me the patch isn't there anymore. So I manually download the "sw_pc_english_from200424_to210427"-patch and run it and it says this; So what are my options?

Arnkell Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Yes but it still contains things that are important if you've done a clean install, which I have. But it won't run, doesn't anyone know why?
BattleCookiee Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Most likely your version ISN'T 200424 (1.0A if I recall correct)? Otherwise this IS 1.0A, and you should try 1.0B Or (Best solution): Skip patching, more troubles will rise because of it...
themacman Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 the most important thing they should fix are the performance issue's on both Ati and Nvidia cards. people paid 49$ for a game which wasn't abandonware "and it is starting to look like that"
Guest Dowie100 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Did you know that Half Life gets better support, its been out since 1999, a six year old game with amazing support. Kotor 2 is a joke, one patch that was about 3 months late and the second patch is over that plus they gave up on patch 3, wtf is going on...
Musopticon? Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Not to deny the fact that the support is sh!t, but eh...the original HL has sold 8 million copies worldwide, has the second largest mod base, the largest multiplayer base and several expansion sets. You do the math. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. WraithStar Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 It's not like Lucas Arts isn't willing to devote the time or money to creating a patch because of poor Kotor II sales. There already *is* a patch. They are just sitting on it, so that is taking lack of customer service too far. Does Lucas Arts have to pay to give the patch to gaming sites to host? I don't think so, and if they don't have to pay for that, why don't they just release the patch already?

DarthCheesiest Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Finally the audio and video content patch has been released, by Nvidia I might add http://www.nzone.com/ http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_kotor2_downloads.html 1308 MBs in seven patches Great, Now I can replay the game for the first time, this time with the 1.0b patch and the high quality music.

kirottu Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Really? Someone leaked the patch? This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
w666tvr Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 From the readme. This asset patch is supplied for use AS IS and is not officially supported by LucasArts or Obsidian Entertainment. LucasArts and Obsidian Entertainment will not offer customer support in the installation or application of these assets and are not responsible for any problems which may arise from their use. Although we have tested these assets, they are offered AS IS. Use this patch AT YOUR OWN RISK. If this is to be believed, then not so much leaked as sneaked out via the back door. Also note: STAR WARS ® KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC ® II - THE SITH LORDS Media Update Patch - Music June 29, 2005 Note the date: QA (presumably) complete end june; sneaked out now. Downloading music now... (w00t) * doing my happy dance * (w00t) "We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
BattleCookiee Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Keeps us updated if it is indeed the "High Quality" stuff... Or some kind of "user made remix" Please?

w666tvr Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Better than me behind a 56kbps modem " "We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
DarthCheesiest Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Installed the music patch and the first two video patches and it still works, not suprisingly. The video and music files are about three times bigger. I've been waiting for this update and checking (almost daily) for so long, installing them seems to be a bit of an anticlimax. Oh well, I suppose I still have the fun of visiting this site to try and get the most out of the sidequests and dialogue out of the characters. Bao-Dur said virtually nothing first time through.
w666tvr Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 The elusive Jay (LucasArts moderator) has just re-appeared to post this on the LA forums: OPTIONAL MEDIA UPDATE PATCHES FOR STAR WARS KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: THE SITH LORDSMEDIA UPDATE Patches "We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
kirottu Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Real life miracle! This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Baley Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) Who cares? It doesn't add anything to the gameplay or fix those annoying bugs. Edited September 30, 2005 by Baley
Cactus Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) I think it adds to the gameplay, i'm looking forward to nice music and decent videos. Not in your typical view of gameplay i guess no, but i think a good soundtrack can go towards it. i dunno, i'm wierd. Edited September 30, 2005 by Cactus
