LavenderGooms Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 I may have mentioned this before somewhere else but I would love to see a pc role playing game based in the Shadowrun universe. :D
Musopticon? Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 You registered to ask that? Shadowrun: Think of Cyberpunk with magic, elves and such. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Lothar Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I must say a combination of cyberpunk and elves etc. doesn't bode well for the game, BUT it's only MY opinion
tmp Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I must say a combination of cyberpunk and elves etc. doesn't bode well for the game, BUT it's only MY opinion I'd normally agree but Shadowrun somehow manages to pull this off (and that's just the tip of weirdness iceberg it has...) ^_^ that said, the rights to computer games set in Shadowrun universe are currently owned by Microsoft if am not mistaken, so the chance of something like that happening is less than slim :/
Darque Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Shadowrun is one of the best PnP settings ever made. And a PC version would be awesome

HaPhApAbLaP Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 I think I remember Feargus once upon a time saying he was a big shadowrun pnp fan, and would like to someday perhaps make a Shadowrun game, or something like that. I think.
Silvershadow Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Ah... Shadowrun. Yeah, it's been like 10 years since I've played, but it was by far my favourite PnP RPG. Good times! I would be all OVER a PC version of that. Please review my fanfic! Atton's Redemption Atton's Motivation July 30: CHAPTER 26 is up! -------------- DISCLAIMER: These posts may contain humour. TentamusDarkblade Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Shadowrun's IP is currently owned by MS. the rumour mill has it that they are making a FPRPG with it much like Deus Ex. Strong odds lay with it being a console title, since MS is cutting back (basically ending) their PC game publishing deals.
Kiranos Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 There is a shadowrun game for SNES or Super Nintendo, you can see a review of it at this location http://www.netjak.com/Reviews/vintage/shad.htm You can probably get it cheap from ebay or something and go down the memory lane with your old SNES console
LavenderGooms Posted April 23, 2005 Author Posted April 23, 2005 Hmm, I think there is a Sega Genesis version too but I could be wrong about that. I used to have the SNES version some time ago, I was just hoping for a new Shadowrun game but it doesn't seem likely. Thanks though.
Silvershadow Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I remember playing the SNES (or was it Sega Genesis?) Shadowrun game a few years ago and it was pretty bad... actually, now that I think about it, I may have it at home still. Regardless... I wouldn't suggest dropping a bundle on this game. :D Please review my fanfic! Diogo Ribeiro Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 The Genesis version was superior to most every element of the SNES version, and was a great game too. It seemed to be closer to the mechanics of the PnP, although it should be expected that it may seem terribly diluted to purists of the original game. And yes, Feargus should have a chat with MS to get to work on a PC version of it.
Baley Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 And yes, Feargus should have a chat with MS to get to work on a PC version of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a X360 exclsusive
LavenderGooms Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 And yes, Feargus should have a chat with MS to get to work on a PC version of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a X360 exclsusive <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe we can get lucky and have a PC version come out a little while after the console version. Kinda like the KotOR games. Just a little wishful thinking, I know. "
Baley Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Yeah but M$ would want exclusives for their new console IF they'll ever use the liscenece
Ki Rin Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Shadowrun appeared on sega cd also i believe. although it was anime style i think.
