All good choices. I also really like A Perfect Circle if we're naming mainstream rock bands.

A Perfect Circle....if I recall they have a very "Tool" like sound (given that I think at least one band member was from Tool) do they not?

 

 

I also like Tool....although just their radio songs. They're not radio songs are rather.....bizarre

Tool and A Perfect Circle were both founded and fronted by James Maynard Keenan.

 

Tool is a bit heavier, and more industrial. A Perfect Circle is another story. Their first album features some incredible violin work, and I think they have a fairly unique sound.

I don't mind a good violin.

 

Last of the Mohicans is a killer soundtrack!
