February 20, 200520 yr Hostile takeover? <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, Splinter Cell 2006! Coming soon near you!
February 20, 200520 yr kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
February 20, 200520 yr Go share prices I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
February 20, 200520 yr Hostile takeover? <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats is what Ubisoft is claiming. Now Ubisoft is a french based company and the french goverment is very protective when it comes to take overs from non french companies so I doubt Ubisoft is going to have a problem with EA as long the French goverment wants to keep it as a French company. Personaly I dont want to see EA get control of Ubisoft, it would kill a lot of games (expecialy adventure games) and make EA a too powerful pubisher in the console market ... also Ubisoft is one of the few publishers that takes risks when it comes to inovative games.
February 20, 200520 yr I do not want EA to take control of Ubisoft because I would like the Splinter Cell games to continue being not sucky. Also, the OXM demo of Chaos Theory is rad. twitter tyme

February 20, 200520 yr I think I should go get me some EA shares. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
February 20, 200520 yr I think I should go get me some EA shares. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Traitor. Besides, it's Ubisoft's shares that went up, and I in no way know this because I ran out and purchased 200 of them when I heard about the takeover...
February 20, 200520 yr wouldnt it be kharma if eventually billy gates got bored and decided to buy ea? oh the irony. *ignore this post if im out of the loop and in fact bill gates already owns ea  *
February 20, 200520 yr what is it with the French and game companies. i thought their major exports were wine and perfume... wasn't it Ubisoft that acquired all the 3DO properties when it went belly up a few years back?

I now love the French I really really hope their gov can keep it out of EA's hands. There's been quite a few Ubisoft games I've enjoyed... and none with an EA label (ok, there was Earth and Beyond, but they screwed that up)
February 21, 200520 yr Author EA doesn't bother me (at least right now). But I will not like it if they take over Ubi Soft. But still does it really matter? Take Ghost Recon for instance. Cool computer game. Challenging and detailed, just the way I like it. It didn't sell too well so they changed GR2 into some consoley mess. They did that on their own without EA's help. Or did Ubi Soft not do GR2?
February 21, 200520 yr Personaly I dont want to see EA get control of Ubisoft, it would kill a lot of games Ubisoft already did that to themselves awhile ago(remember RedStorm?). They really don't need EA's help unless they want that god awfull EA Trax crap in thier games.
