***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 3 WISHLIST***

Recommended Posts

Please no, don't make KOTOR III like Morrowind. That game was okay in its own way, but KOTOR shouldn't be so huge and open ended like that. It is very story driven and more like playing a movie than wandering around for endless hours going from one town to the next like in Morrowind. Of course we are all assuming there will be a KOTOR III. I am sure we would all like one, but from what I can tell its not doing as well as the first one did. Case and point two of my friends who played the first one didn't even know the second one was out until I told them, and they still haven't played it. I could be completely wrong about its success though, I am no economics expert.

  • 2 months later...

I like alot of what Darth Ni and Darth Nuke had to say. And:

>>>Basically, more DIPLOMACY, STRATEGY and overall BIG-PICTURENESS.

>>>once, you beat the game, you can buy additional downloadable content.

>>>KOTOR III definitely needs to wrap up this "trilogy" we are in.

>>>and, yes, eye candy graphics would be nice (be not required).

>>>A CERTAIN AMOUNT of open-endedness (you can sell the Ebon Hawk and buy something else; you can buy property, etc)

1) if you go out of your way to go through "proper" sith training, or take a sith class/prestige class, have the game recognize you as sith. in kotor, memory loss aside, your vaunted sith medallion means jack outside of korriban.

and in kotor 2, even if you go straight darkside, all of one minor character on onderon calls you a sith. "black robes, pale face and a red lightsaber huh? eh, you seem like a nice enough guy." and the "what's the matter with your face?" gag only goes so far. are the residents of metropolis descendents of the star wars u or something?

if the game gives you light/dark dialogue options, is it so much to toss the sith in with the dark side dialogue? you can go around proclaiming to be jedi or not (not that it ultimately matters as far as i can tell) why not the same thing for the dark side?

2)work the kinks out of the influence system

handmaiden: i pledge myself to you.

exile: welcome to the dark side.

handmaiden: i will follow your every command, master. (+ inf)

exile: *evil grin*

later

*the exile kills an insolent fool*

handmaiden: why did you kill that man?! he was not threatening!

exile: the fool got what was coming to him.

handmaiden: the echani do not blahblahblah..(- inf)

exile: :huh::luck::luck:

3)this is more personal wishful thinking, but for the party members who aren't essential to the plot, make it possible that they'll actually leave if you anger them enough. (or you can kill them too. :luck: )

4)have party members actually involved in the ending.

Force Sensitive is a feat you get for free at 7th level.

Once you get this feat, your lightsaber sidequest begins.

Force Focus and Force Mastery are optional feats.

Force Focus allows you to use non-universal powers.

Only those with Force Mastery can take a prestige class.

Prestige classes have their own side quests.

Double-bladed lightsaber has its own feat tree.

Ranged weapons should not be as dumbed down as they are now.

Engineering feat tree to build sentry cannons, etc.

Fix the influence system...ability to fire party members (but still get the

same storyline content from others).

Gotta have the 2 droids. They are the true continuity of this franchise.

Jedi and Sith are not the only factions you can permanently join.

(the Manaan quest in KOTOR I allowed you to join the Echani syndicate, I believe)

there should be a number of such trans-world syndicates (not all bad, either)

If the PC is not Revan or the Exile, we need to see non-human PCs.

If you are LS, you get Master Vandar's force ghost as mentor.

If you are DS, you get Revan's force ghost as mentor.

You can buy other sentient droids (and you can sell droids like G0T0)

Need a "fence" merchant that deals in hard-to-find items (like the Rodian on the Yavin Space Station)

Easier to be a "non-bully" DSider.

Real dogfighting in space.
