ampulator00 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 According to IGN's Reviews, there are no level caps, can any Developer verify this?
BuckeyeRowe Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 According to IGN's Reviews, there are no level caps, can any Developer verify this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I find IGN to be pretty respectable. I would think after playing the game, they would know what they're talking about. "Working for Davik was like driving a spike in the side of your head. Sure, you got something new up there, but in the end, you've lost something as well." - Canderous "But I though Jedi weren't allowed to love." - Handmaiden "But some do it anyway. We call it pulling a Bindo." - The Exile
ampulator00 Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 If it's true, then this interesting. Does this mean, that's why IGN complained the game was too easy in the end?
BuckeyeRowe Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Does this mean, that's why IGN complained the game was too easy in the end? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the impression I got. When you get so high in levels, you can just tear up the Sith/Jedi/Whoever at the end. "Working for Davik was like driving a spike in the side of your head. mista_me Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 It makes sense but, it wont be as much of a challenge, but it'll be nice to whoop up on the sith at the end of the game. :D Where is the bell, wait for the bell, k i need the bell, wait the bell! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Kazic wants you.... to join the pinkside!
Darth Abomination Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 if thats true we can finally get all the available force powers MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ivan the Terrible Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 if thats true we can finally get all the available force powers MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. Some Force Powers are class-specific, at least according to IGN. I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?

Darth Abomination Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I mean the basic ones dude like push, heal, lightening, etc
Maria Caliban Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 if thats true we can finally get all the available force powers MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. You can only get all the... Wait, is this a spoiler? (spoiler) Force powers are limiter by class. You'd have to play once through as each of the six classes before you used every force power. (/end spoiler) {} "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
GhostofAnakin Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Nope. Some Force Powers are class-specific, at least according to IGN. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good. Replayability. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
Darth Abomination Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I mean the basic ones dude like push, heal, lightening, etc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You people aren't too good at reading between the lines
Maria Caliban Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Darth, The painter does not blame the brush, but the hand. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
TheHutt Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 If there is no level cap then obviously they've done something to balance it so it won't be too easy in the end.
Ivan the Terrible Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Replayability. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm seeing that word used an awful lot. It almost seems to be the central design philosophy. And I like it.
Darth Abomination Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I'll find out on Monday, hahahahaha I only have one class on Monday and its sooo close to an EB Games.
ampulator00 Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 If there is no level cap then obviously they've done something to balance it so it won't be too easy in the end. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe, maybe not. We shall see. I kinda get the sense, that in the end of the game, it became too easy. Didn't they say were doing a level cap, though? They though of increasing it to 20 to 30?
mista_me Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Philosopher????? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that would probablly be the philosopher doesn't blame the book but the mind! :D Where is the bell, wait for the bell, k i need the bell, wait the bell! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Kazic wants you.... to join the pinkside!
Darth Abomination Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 " U ppl are going to love University if u aren't already there
DarthDoGooder Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Darth, The painter does not blame the brush, but the hand. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know if Ive seen/heard it in that form before, but I really like that saying. To almost echo "Darth Abomination", do like philosophy or is that simply coming from an intelligent mind?
DesertHawk Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 "$50 leads to game. Game leads to fun. Fun leads to woe. Woe leads to bliss. Bliss leads to paths. Paths leads to replayability. Through replayability, my chains are broken." The fact that I ran around for about 1/6th of the game level 20 was really boring. Especially if you count on levels to heal you up because you want to make the game more challenging so you've given yourself a con of 8. Level restore = fun! Fnord.
Maria Caliban Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Darth DoGooder, You most likely have seen it before though the form itself is incorrect. I was half-remembering the Chinese proverb "A poor workman blames his tools." And yes, I do enjoy philosophy a great deal. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Judge Hades Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 So they made the game from bad to worse in regards of leveling. Lovely. Hey, lets just have a level 1000 uber-Jedi and wipe out anything that moves from a parsec away. Oh yes, that makes good sense in the d20 game mehanics.
Sith Emperor Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 it did say in an interveiw that there is a cap but only a select few will ever got all the way up to it
