LIGHTSIDE

Jedi Weaponsmaster = all saber

Jedi Master = all force

Jedi Watchman = ??? ;)

DARKSIDE

Sith Assasin = all saber

Sith lord = all force

Sith Maurader = ???

Marauder is the Sith melee specialist, not the Assassin (that's the sneaky class).

I have no idea what the Watchman does.

Watchman and Assasin are the corresponding Sentinal Classes...

Consular is the same as -> Jedi Master / Sith Lord

Guardian -> Weapons Master / Marauder

Sentinal -> Watchman / Assasin

It'd be cool if the watchman and assassin specialized in different things.

If the assassin was like a scoundrel (sneak attacks and such) and the watchman was way better at persuade options than any other class.

Jedi Master and Sith Lord are better at persuasion....

And they do have different specialities, i was just stating what they have good correlation against

I am more of a Melee person....But i wouldnt mind nice Force Powers to better assist me...

i am just going to be as good as i can be at anything lol. but does that mean that you can only become a jed master if you star off as a consular etc?? :(

If you start off as a Consular you could be a Weapons Master which resembles the Jedi Guardian class....Good melee fighter with power Force abilities

yeah but both would be diluted, just like goen scout then guardian, or soldier then consular

You can pick and mix any of the above... they just relate to each other directly...

We are meant to mixed up the classes and get creative...Wouldnt really call it diluting...

Yes but same as with feat progression DarthRevan987, if you want your lightsaber style to be staff, then you need to pool feat skill points into 2 handed combat, if you want single saber you pool it into dueling...

So if you want Force powers galor, go Consuler and Master / Lord

If you want Combat go Guardian / Marauder

If you want the best of both worlds go Sentinal and Watchman / Assasin :shifty:

Edited by Jad'en

Very True...But some like to mix it up..Go with Guardian for the high vital points and Jedi Master for the high Force points

Or sentinal and watchman for the exact same effect :shifty:

The only difference is it will be a hard choice because of all the new skills the prestige classes will unlock...

Oh i know what a Watchman is :shifty:

And ive explained it to everyone in the Topic....

Soldier/Consular was more effective than Soldier/Guardian or Smuggler/Consular, I found.

Fnord.

Depends on your style of play...

Inform me if Im wrong, but shouldn't Prestige Classes have certain requirements? And if so, wouldn't one of those be: You should be trained in the field related to the Prestige Class? i.e., take Guardian if you want to be a Sith Marauder? (Or assassin, whichever corresponds.)

Speaking of "inform me", does the holy game, lol, come out on Monday or Tuesday?

Okay. Thank you.

But that wasn't the point. The point was trying to say that unless something has gone horribly wrong, you shouldn't be able to take a Prestige Class that you don't have appropriate levels of in the base class. It doesn't follow any logical or d20(to my limited knowledge) sense.

theres tones of logic behind having any class be able to pick what ever prestige class they wanted, cuz if they didnt there wouldn't really be any point to having a prestige class would there. It just wouldn't make sense to have a prestige class that only these guys can have especially if they are specailizing in the same area! :D
