July 8, 200421 yr I know, that's why I posted the definition...I wasn't criticizing you at all, just the dude who screwed up...
July 8, 200421 yr Okay people, let's examine the facts: -Obsidan has already stated that some characters from KOTOR 1 will have "large cameos" in KOTOR 2. -We know that the ending to KOTOR 1 and your initial allignment is determined by how you answer questions in the opening scenes of the game. -The Devs also have reluctantly let spill the fact that there will be more than 10 possible NPCs to join your party. Who joins depends on your allignment in the early stages of the game, which ties in to how you answered the opening questions. You see where I'm going with this? Probably not, so let me state it simply: Is it possible that certain characters from the first game will join your party depending on how you tell the computer the last game ended? For example, if you tell the computer Mission has spent the last five years as insect-feed on a beach, she probably won't be appearing or joining your party, but Bastila or Canderous might. Okay, think that sums it up. The Master of All has spoken.
July 8, 200421 yr This is the problem I have. We have a new MC, and the plot should revolve around the MC in an RPG. If the story is largely dependent on NPCs that aren't in the party anymore, then they steal the thunder. People complained already that Bastilla stole the thunder in KOTOR:1. Let's not repeat that mistake.
July 8, 200421 yr I'm all for cameos and I think it'd be cool to have someone like maybe Canderous join your party briefly in KOTOR2. Aside from that, I'm much more eager to learn about the new characters. And as an aside, I know this is off topic but, wasn't there a female Dark Lord in Elfquest? I only ask because someone said Bastila would be a Dark Lady or something to that effect. Anyway...I know it's a dumb question but women can also be Dark Lords too, right?.
July 8, 200421 yr Ummm of course. Look at Alexia. Anyway, Aleeta was a female dark lord (ok a little weak, but you get the point).
July 8, 200421 yr QUOTE: "Where did it say that the beginning questions determined your initial alignment?" Trust me, it's been said. Remember, I'm the Master of All. I'm always right.
July 8, 200421 yr I do not remember seeing anything about how it affects your initial alignment...just the tone of the game.
July 8, 200421 yr I to would like to see some of the characters from Kotor 1, but I would rather them be part of mini quests. If you didnt bother with the side quests you wouldnt meet them, you would only here about them. However if you did do them it would expand the story and give you the back story of what happend to them since the end of kotor. I think it would be a nice bonus for fans of the original.
July 8, 200421 yr once again we return to the original character concept of Bastila, that of an inept, overly arrogant sorry excuse for a jedi. Hence, she won't have the capability to be any sort of "sith lord". She's the puppet, never the puppeteer. Word economics To express my vast wisdom I speak in haiku's.
July 8, 200421 yr Ummm of course. Look at Alexia. What about me? Le donne sono da venus, la scopata sa dove sono gli uomini da. For a different kind of Kotor chat
July 8, 200421 yr ^I know I read this somewhere! I think the devs realized I'd just had a major breakthrough and strategically erased all mention of it. But I'll search anyways. This arguement probably won't hold up if it's based on faith. When I dig up that link, this is where you'll find it. B)
August 2, 200421 yr ^Finally, a breakthrough. B) I think Akari says it best: "I might point out that the NPCs that may appear in the game may be affected by how you answer the questions near the beginning that explain how the first game's story went for you" I think this is better proof than any (probably non-existent) link that characters from the original Knights may join your party depending on how you answer the opening questions. For those of you unfamiliar with my intriguing thoeries, flip back a page and prepare for a shocking revelation.

"Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
August 3, 200421 yr Keep in mind this was a month ago, and that all was fresh information. What my garbled, late-night rantings were trying to communicate is the possibility of characters from your party in the first game returning and rejoining (or not rejoining) you in the second game based on your answers to the opening questions. Read carefully and you'll realize that this entire quote, from a month-old and less knowlegable me, supports this. Did that help at all, Or should I let this topic die?
August 3, 200421 yr Whether the idea is good or bad, it does NOT matter. The problem is, this solution is too easy AND cheap. If they do this, they can expect to be flamed.
August 3, 200421 yr Not really. Its a pretty poor idea. And you're lucky that shdy was polite. That idea reeks of more crap than a dysenteric rat's ass! :D
