EnderAndrew Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 If you want to create some action and tension, you can do that. 3 of your characters are blasting out of someone's lair. The place is going to blow up, and they have five minutes go get out of there. Put a clock on the screen. And you can switch over to 3 other party members who are fighting their way to the Ebon Hawk, getting it ready for a quick getaway.
nik_bg Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Docking anywhere you want is not possible, because of Air Traffic Control - each planet has centralized ATC coverign the whole atmosphere and orbital space. Nik.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 A clock? I don't want a clock... But that sounds like another one of those situations the Devs were talking about...
Alexia Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 It's against the law to not dock properly and pay docking fees. Also, theorhetically when you dock, you get fresh water on board, get rid of trash, get new supplies, refuel, etc. I never paid my docking fees, those weak minded fools. Le donne sono da venus, la scopata sa dove sono gli uomini da. For a different kind of Kotor chat
icebox15 Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 Just use force persuade. And did you ever notice even if you have dominate mind and use it on the gate guard in Tatooine he won't let you pass to the dune sea...and it said SUCCESS.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I already had enough creds to fill the ship, so I just paid him...I already had what I needed...plus, I rather fry someone with force lightning that persuade someone not to charge me 100 credits...just me...and I'm LS!

Thats like using Force Persuade to get out of paying bus fare. Or using it to get out of tipping your waitress. Its kinda trivial.
icebox15 Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 After the third time through the game... Huh?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 It got boring the third time through the game after you tricked everyone...
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Were you strapped for cash, or just being cheap?
icebox15 Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 I didn't feel Czerka or the Selkath deserved my money.
Indalecio Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 You don't see it in game, because its not really well represented, but the Selkath and the Czerka provided a service. The docking fee covered refueling, and possibly restocking of supplies for the ship(Don't remember if the latter is true or not). In this case, you should pay.
icebox15 Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 I never could tell a difference from when I used Force persuade vs when I payed the fee.
EnderAndrew Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 I thought you could only persude the weak willed. That's why you had few opportunities to persuade. Then again, in KOTOR you could Force persuade a Hutt, and I thought Hutts and Toydarians were supposed to be immune to such things.
mastaGAW Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Not all Hutts are the same. You couldn't use Force Persuade on the Hutt twice if I remember.
ShinIchiro Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 He wouldn't give you a dialogue option to that's why.
