ShinIchiro Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I need a time. Now would be very good. I have plans I need to shift around and around 15 minutes before I make a decision.
nightcleaver Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 My connection was dead for a while - but I'm ready. Specialization: Survival: Swamp/Forest Specialization: Gambling: Pazaak? (or some other space card game) Specialization: Space Transports: Cargo Transports? Shin: Try 6 or 7. (GMT -6) I'm sure you could come a little late.
Ivan the Terrible Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 What's the status tonight? Are we playing or waiting 'till next Friday? I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
nightcleaver Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Didn't work out after all. Oh well. Can we PLEEESE doing something on saturday or preferrably sunday?
Indalecio Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 I'd like to. But I didn't see Ender post anything anywhere, in either Suggestions or Sith Lord's General for at least a day, so he's probably busy at the moment.
EnderAndrew Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Grr. I really apologize. Everything fell apart over the last few days. I've had to do some overtime for work for a special project out of no where, a power storm fried my main PC, and my net connection for a while. And my body decided to self-destruct. I caught some nasty stomach virus, and I could barlely get up from bed to hit the bathroom yesterday. I've been pretty sick. Hopefully I will get better!
EnderAndrew Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 It helps having four computers at home, though my notebook is pretty old (Pentium III with 64 megs of ram). I can still get online now that Cox has the internet back up.
ShinIchiro Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Well you have an excuse for missing my e-mails and stuff. It's ok. So what time exactly are we in? Pre KOTOR or barely post. Or Kun wars?
EnderAndrew Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I'd suggest a few years post KOTOR and KOTOR:2. But I'll defer to a majority opinion.
ShinIchiro Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Well what is going on that we would interact with at that time? I'd go a couple years pre-KOTOR myself.
EnderAndrew Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Well, if I sandwich the setting inbetween two well-known settings, the players have a feel that certain events are inevitable, and they know what's going to happen. If we set the game slightly post KOTOR:TSL, the story can focus on the player charactes, and do something new and unexpected. The Sith are still around. The Republic is still around, and there is alot of unexplored galaxy. I was thinking of having the party exploring unknown worlds on some mission from the Jedi or the Republic.
ShinIchiro Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Sounds cool. Haha Unknown regions. SOunds really fun. Even in the New Republic Era they aren't explored. Also, we might meet Vong like Canderous (firstly, sorry I didn't mean to disrespect the Yuhzahan Vong and I know Ender hates them so never mind).
EnderAndrew Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 If all the players really wanted to deal with Vong, I can run that. It just wouldn't be my first choice.
nightcleaver Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 So, starting next friday hopefully? Did you get my final character sheet okay?
Ivan the Terrible Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Grr. I really apologize. Everything fell apart over the last few days. I caught some nasty stomach virus, and I could barlely get up from bed to hit the bathroom yesterday. I've been pretty sick. Hopefully I will get better! No worries. I don't think anyone here is in a tremendous rush. Take your time and get better. And no, I don't want the Vong in the game.

Also, we might meet Vong like Canderous (firstly, sorry I didn't mean to disrespect the Yuhzahan Vong and I know Ender hates them so never mind). It was just more of a mention of possibilities. If we have vong, they should certainly not be the primary enemies.
nightcleaver Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 They would be a neat, unexpected thing as long as we didn't get too in-depth. Canderous found a strange asteroid that obliterated a large portion of a mandalorian fleet, so the story was interesting and suspicious. I'm sure you could go with any number of other ways to do that, though - that mystery.
Indalecio Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Personally, I'd rather not see the Vong. I am trying to pretend the NJO never existed.
Indalecio Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Parts are worth accepting. Others... Very true. Too bad the Vong are such a big part.
ShinIchiro Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 The Vong are a cool original idea. The series just overuses them. I mean, you get bored of anyone with 20 consecutive books just about them.
tripleRRR Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I don't know, I enjoyed the final book of the series. But now what will they do? TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
ShinIchiro Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I can only find the final book in hardcover grrrr. And I'm a little low on cash, so I'm waiting for it to come out non-hardcover. It really stinks 'cause I've read all the others. Is it good?
