Malcador Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Chuck Mangione. Only know of him through King of the Hill as the writers or showrunners liked him or something 1 Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Amentep Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

rjshae Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Professor Tom Lehrer at age 97, the author of so many fine satirical songs. Many youngsters probably don't know him. 1 "It has just been discovered that research causes cancer in rats."

LadyCrimson Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Song Young-Kyu - Aug 4 - age 55 One of those S. Korean small to larger supporting-actor faces that is familiar to many who watch a lot of S. Korean shows/films. Seemingly another one of those heavy social shaming and career cancellation situations. I'm watching The Winning Try, which he had a part in (apparently much reduced/removed after a DUI) and it's just so sad. Not just him, all the similar cases over the years. RIP Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

Malcador Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Terence Stamp would have made a better Tolwyn. The best was David Warner though, just for that voice. Why has elegance found so little following? Amentep Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I saw Wing Commander in theaters and I wouldn't have known that Stamp was even in it until it was mentioned here. I think I memory holed that entire film. Malcador Posted August 18 Posted August 18 He wasn't in it Malcolm McDowell was in the games, Warner was in that movie screwed up by Chris Roberts 1 Why has elegance found so little following? majestic Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Man, you guys just made me check if Malcolm McDowell died, but no, Hurlshot can't keep Admiral Tolywn and Chancellor Valorum apart. 1 No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
