But someone on Codex made this very concerning prediction, the Russians want to destroy the dam near Kherson and flood the entire region. Thats why they evacuating people because they want this flood to slow down the Ukrainian advance?

Im not sure how many S-400 systems have been deployed to Ukraine. I think the point of the article was more to crow about blowing one up (or at least the radar).

Slightly unrelated, but that incomptent **** Truss could not outlast a lettuce. She folded after 44 days and managed to burry the Queen, The GBP and most likely The Torries. (lets not forget her incompetence in the foreign affairs and the trip to Russia to rattle a sabre there amd do a publicity stunt instead of real diplomacy)

The guys from Codex, and if judged by their incompetence so far, Russian officers as well, do not have a clue, that would be very bad idea, as right bank of Dnepr, especially Kherson city, are on much higher altitude than the left bank. Which would mean, that blowing up that dam, would wreak much much more havoc to the areas, which will be still under the Russian occupation, after they flee perform goodwill gesture from western Kherson Oblast

Good to know, it seemed unlikely but no military strategy  surprises me from Russians

@Darkpriest looks like I was correct about Meloni. The new Italian government is shaking even before it has been established. Berlusconi did an oopsie with couple of Vodka bottles, and Meloni as a reaction, has firmly shown him, where his place is. And hers. She is willing to drop her win in the election, if she will not be able to build a pro EU government. No place for Russian lapdogs there.

Yesterday Russia stolen all the firefighter trucks from Kherson, today, they are stealing all the ambulance cars. It really looks like, they want to blow up the dam, and remove all the possibilities for ukrainian people to fight the possible floods and save lives…

It's more of catch-22.

If you will work for energy costs relief and stabilizing prices you are going bankrupt on the debt and lack of ECB support as bond yields or ITA bonds would explode. Probably EU commission would also freeze post-covid help funds. 

Given the choices, I can see why she does what she does now. 

Question is, how long she can meander in such political conditions. I'm also not surprused she would rather have someone else get the head out in the current economic situation and come off clean, that you never had a real chance at governing, when the next elections come.

There is an active debate on Codex within the Ukraine thread about the Ruskies intentions to blow up the dam and Im genuinely  unsure if they will

One guy is Russian but doesnt like Putin but he supports Russia as a country under different leadership so he is also not pro-Ukraine. He says it doesnt make sense if they blow up the dam because it will impact the Crimean water supply or something  similar and this is Russian controlled territory. He says the harm to the Ukrainians is not enough to justify that problem to pro-Russians living in Crimea? 

But the Russians have done several things that make no sense and right now they dont want to lose the conventional war so I think if they retreat from Kherson they will do it to inflict as much damage as possible to civilians infrastructure to slow the Ukrainian military advance?

Dark you have to realize something, the majority of people and leaders in the EU dont want to align or support Putin or Russia. We musnt confuse more right wing governments as automatically meaning pro-Putin

Yes, you are correct, it does not make sense. And yes, you are correct, we are talking about Russia, and they shown a lot of time already, that they do not give a single **** about their supporters, and tend to do stuff, which does not make any sense on daily basis.

just look at 770million worth of missiles launched few days ago… wasting so much of limited stock on civilian objects, instead of hitting as much as possible military objects, to stop UA momentum, is utter tactical nonsense. Not only it made Ukrainians more dedicated to fight against Russia, but it also accelerated some stuff in EU, with which some politicians were not very keen to do before this barrage… It was just another of the stupid political goals of Russia, as holding Kherson and besiege Bakhmut at all costs…

This is more of a general comment but also pertinent to what you say here.

Now, you write with the intent of giving the impression of being an expert on things. But your language and your terrible choice of references (zerohedge for god's sake) don't exactly look convincing. So the question rises: if this guy's an expert on this stuff, why does he use language like that and why does he rely on frankly awful sources? Why would a genuine expert ever do that, even on a meaningless internet forum?
