I don't care if this supposed to be some metaphor about Germany or whatever, I see a Minotaur having nervous breakdown in a picturesque privy, so that what it is.

...sad face... running out of Rammstein stuff to post. I'm sure they have more than 30 greatest hits 🤔

Ah well, the lead singer Lindemann will have to do then. Blut ("Blood")

There always are cooperations and side projects.  Lindemann's not the only one, Richard Kruspe, the guitarist, has a side piece too. But we're not in the metal thread here, so something pop-musicy:

Still find it funny to recall the other bandmates were surprised by Curtis' suicide when I hear this song

"Directionless so plain to see,
A loaded gun won't set you free.
So you say"

"I gave you everything and more,
The strain's too much, can't take much more
I've walked on water, run through fire,
Can't seem to feel it anymore."

Not sure if he wrote this song by himself, but still.

"So you ran out of Rammstein", cheesy dance music edition:

Doesn’t really sound like Rammstein, but it reminds me of Sisters of Mercy, which I listened quite a bit to once upon a time (got a few cds too in my dusty old collection somewhere)

🤔 Funny how hearing works 'cause they don't sound Sisters of Mercy to me at all. Like Paradise Lost in their electrogoth stage maybe:

Not saying they sound the same, but they do remind of me old songs like these...

Edit: They did some interesting cover versions of old hits too, including Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter and this one

Speaking of Sisters of Mercy... not sure what happened after that, but they went all pop music on me and I sort of forgot about them 🤔

Man, even if I hadn't seen "VNV Nation" in the title, I would've thought for sure that it was their instrumental - could not sound more like them circa late 90s.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

Ah - VNV Nation was the very first musical artist I truly liked as a young teen in the mid-ish 2000s, so their early "sound signature" is pretty ingrained in my brain. That particular music scene changed a lot as the 2010s approached, though, and it's never really gotten back to what I liked.

In other words:
