Keyrock Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) The Magnicifent Five mission was brutally hard to do non-lethal. In the closing stages the game flat out tells you to kill them: I didn't, though. On the score card it says 2 enemies killed, but you can also see that McCoy had zero kills and Hector had zero kills. Those are the only characters I played in this mission soooooo.... I'm confused, but I can assure you that I did not kill anyone, so my pacifist run is intact. It's only going to get more challenging from here on out. Edited June 22, 2020 by Keyrock RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
melkathi Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Darth Whatsherface would try to justify this by explaining to you that the people you didn't kill went on and lived and killed two people who's deaths now are on you, and that your light side of the force pacifism was just as evil as the dark side. 1 1 1 Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).
marelooke Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 For those we have lost. For those we can yet save. (Shadowbringers ending spoilers) Spoiler 1
Keyrock Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) Narrator: And blow to smithereens the bridge they did. This level presented an extra challenge for my pacifist run; I had to make sure I got everybody off the bridge before I destroyed it. There was one particularly tricky thug I had to save. Knocking him out wasn't the issue. The problem was that where he was, on some scaffolding, I wouldn't be able to carry his body to terra firma, since none of the characters I had available in that part of the mission could carry a body up a ladder (Hector possibly can, but I didn't get to use him until after that part of the mission). To make matters worse, he was a poncho, so I couldn't lure him away from his post... at least not through conventional means. I purposely got myself spotted by him, which raised an alarm and he started shooting at me and chasing me, this got him off the scaffolding, but also summoned more thugs. There was a ton of dying, especially since on desperado difficulty your characters have minuscule amounts of health, and save scumming involved, but eventually I was able to knock him and the other thugs out, one by one, in a shed as they came through the door. This ends chapter 1. Edited June 24, 2020 by Keyrock 3 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Keyrock Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 (edited) Horizon Chase Turbo For your OutRun arcadey racing needs. Some nice modern touches to the old skool low poly aesthetic, like the driver's (in that car, most are not convertibles, so you don't see the driver) hair moves and it moves more when you go faster. I really like the low poly aesthetic when it's done well, like it is here. Side benefit is that it runs buttery smooth. marelooke Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 (edited) I enjoy how the entire squad shows up in instance cut scenes, like here, at the start of one of the Crystal Tower alliance raids (24man raids) Alexander...one of the raids with a rather interesting backstory (the giant robot is the raid, as in, his inside) Everyone's favourite character (after Alphinaud ), in one of my favourite locations: the steppes. One of the few MMOs where the player character actually has downtime and socializes with the people around her, like here, on the steppes... Even time for some song and dance! Or just chillin' with the homies NPCs actually do useful stuff when you're not around... ...like saving your life, from a distance (and looking cool while doing it) Bucket list: duel on the hand of a giant statue? Check! Meet Tiamat ... (poor girl ) Was I the only one whose first thought was "Alistair Grout"? Edited July 7, 2020 by marelooke 3
Skazz Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 ^ One of these days, I really need to play Hellblade. That game seems to scream "atmosphere".
