Zoraptor Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 That number of fatalities is not that rare for the TT unfortunately, it's justifiably notorious for deaths. Been cancelled for covid the last couple years though I think, so it's a bit more headline grabbing. (eg the couple who bought my parents' house in Christchurch competed there regularly in the 90s, when half the years had 5 or more deaths)

Zoraptor Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 WRC cars do have amazing safety engineering. It's pretty good marketing having a car you can go and buy (well, kind of) hurtling along a gravel road on a Cypriot cliff at 150kph and even if it does crash the drivers walk away unhurt.
