I thought this was the reason, but I havent gone back to verify that Ive really posted in the threads that show my avatar as you described. I do know for a fact though that my avatar isnt shown in threads that I dont reply in, like the anime thread.

I wonder what would happen if we moved on of your posts to the anime thread 😈

Just kidding, but actually curious if it registers it a submit time or scans the thread at intervals for participation

Hi,

Could it be restored for the mobile version for several last pages (e.g., if the thread has 16, then 14, 15, 16) to be clickable without opening the thread? Also, to disable the suggestion of using the app, 'cause that aint happening.

I acknowledge the security requirements, appreciate you making the update the least disruptive, and detest the bloat of the new version. The previous one looked and worked better.

Sometimes it can be really annoying to try to hit the little star next to a thread link to get to the latest post. Maybe it would be possible to just add the same link format to the thread title link? Would make it a lot easier to get to the last unread post. I feel like it's all what most people would want to do anyways.

You can change the setting so that clicking the title of the thread brings you to the latest post.

I've realised why I was not getting to the threads from the Obsidian Community page directly - the links are bound only to the exact text and not the whole space where I would expect the link to be (e.g. the last poster or the date of the last post). Please add clearly visible buttons/borders around the active links. Also corners, only the UI designers are afraid of corners. 🔲

Thanks, Hawke64, I will pass this on

There's something weird going with the off topic forum, it doesn't seem to realize that I'm logged in. Other forums work fine, but whenever I go to the thread list of the off topic forum, it tells me to log in. Clicking on sign in brings me back to the forum list - where I am logged in already. Jumping directly into topics in the off topic forum shows me as logged in, but the posts there don't get flagged as read by my user.

Clearing all the cookies and browser cache didn't help.

No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

Same here. On some pages I am logged in, on other pages I'm not. It's like that for a few days now. Quite annoying tbh.

Hey folks,

Sorry for all the wonkiness. The folks who actually know the backend have been working on streamlining the forums, so I'm thinking that may have been the reason. These forums unfortunately get hit by a lot of bad traffic and that causes us to go down, then up, then down, then up, then sloooooow, etc. They've made some pretty serious changes in an attempt to block the bad traffic over the past couple of weeks, so if you notice that you are still having login issues after today or any other new issues, please do let us know so I can have them look into it.

Thanks so much for helping us make the forums even better with your reports!
