June 2, 20187 yr I don't completely understand what the OP means. Since Edér is not in your party (yet) when you fight the pirates he (and others) can die when at 0 health. Just don't hit him yourself and don't let the pirates kill him (and your crewmates). June 5, 20187 yr Get yourself killed in the opening fight instead of fighting back and you risk losing no one. The game cuts immediately to the Chitupec vs. crate scripted interaction if the Watcher gets killed.
