I am finishing a mod that adds 7 unique ships and 2 new ship types to the game. > The two new ship types are Xebec and Heavy Galleon. They can be bought from Neketaka shipyard > Five unique ships (with unique stats) can be captured by boarding respective vessels: The Servant of Rikuhu - unique voyager - captained by Wheneha (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with Huana) The Terror of the Deadfire - unique xebec- captained by Arteiro (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with Principi) Aim'Spirente - unique heavy galleon - captained by Estulario (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with VTC) The Royal Leviathan - unique junk - captained by Hazanui Yaro (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with RDC) The Heaving Harlot - unique junk - captained by Fyrgist > Two ships can be found/looted as "ship in a bottle" item after defeating some land enemies: Ship in a bottle (Black Dhow) (unique dhow) can be looted from a specific named fampyr Ship in a bottle (Black Pearl) (unique galleon) can be found in a bookcase behind one unnamed lich > Also the mod slightly edits the stats of Fonferrus and Blade of Takowa: The main thing left to do is: add custom ship stories/descriptions. For now I have put generic ones. But if anyone feels inspiration and wants to contribute, that would be great! P.S. Few screenshots:

Does anyone think it would cool that once you have multiple ships that you could fill the spare ships with crews and send them out to complete side missions? Kind of like the Caed Nua missions from Pillars 1. They could bring back items and supplies (food/drink/other random items) as well as gain sailor experience. It would be kind of cool to put your spare ships and sailors to work and do something productive while you tackle the main content. I haven't played since launch so forgive me if they have already done something like this. Cheers

I'm not too excited about the whole ships and ship combat lark, I mean i'm glad it's there just for variety but I really want a story that is much more intense than the first game, some good drama parts like with Yoshimo in BG2. I want to see some really hard fights as well. Even in Veteran/Hard or whatever it is called, I want some difficult fights. I remember the early days of BG1 the fights with... Mulahey and Davaeorn were really tough, I want some bosses like that. 'Normal' guys but really tough. I know it's probably because i just sucked at the game they were hard because now i understand it they are a joke, but i want that feeling again. Going into the unknown and getting my arse handed to me. On a side note, one of the funniest lines in the game is Davaeorns apprentice when he says something like 'Yes sir, that's right i'm reasonably sure i'm not going to be getting involved in anything like this again!'. Have we got to a point now where we're not allowed to say we want something like BG1/2 because people get too annoyed?

Pertaining to ships and sailing, what do you, the player, hope to see in Deadfire? Me, I'm really hoping to see full throttle Pirates Of The Caribbean scale ships. I'm hoping to see sea-creatures like Giant Crabs and Cthulhu-esque being. I'm really hoping that we will see Megaladons and Mermaids. Mermaids that can be friendly or hostile. That would be great. I want Obsidian to get jiggy with it and let loose the funk and be like "FUNK ALL Y'ALL!" What do you hope to see and what do think will realistically be in there?
