Hello.. Is the persistant stuttering and frame drop issues on both the pc version and console versions going to be fixed at ANY point in the future? I mean we barely seem to get a patch to fix minor issues once every three months if lucky and you are not addressing folk like myself who have this issue on the pc and ps4 versions. My pc spec.. Gtx 1080 I7 8700k 32gb ddr4 Game is installed on a m.2 ssd Windows 10 Gsync enabled.

I've been playing the outer worlds and enjoying it but for some reason while running around I occasionally get debilitating stuttering and frame rate drops. I've restarted my ps4 and that helps temporarily but the always seem to come back. It is making combat borderline unplayable. Any advice would be appreciated.

PS4 motion sickness
Greyboy posted a topic in The Outer Worlds: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Is anyone else getting motion sickness on console? When I move the camera there is a weird motion blur or something that gives me a headache and feeling sick. Don't know what it is but other people have this issue too. -
Hello Folks, ive a problem with Pillars of Eternity. It is not playing smoothly anymore. I was playing it one year before, with not any big performance problems. (actually i bought this thinkpad cauz it should be able to handle pillars). No, with low settings, the game stops or works slowly after a while (framrate?) i read some topics and found out about "msaa 0", and it works a bit better, but it issent like one year ago and i have to tip it again in every sector. Then i read about IE Mod, but i dont how it works for my problem. Is there any patch, mod, command or program for making Pillary smoothly playable again? Should Vsync disabled? what about max. framerate? is 30fps ok? Version of Pillars: 3.04..... my pc-characteristics: Thinkpad w500 Win 7 Professionel 64 bit Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2x 2,8 Ghz Memory 4GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650, 512 MB Pleas help me, i love this game but iam poor and cant buy a new hardware!

Frame rate sudden drop
frank_jerry posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hello PoE community! I am having a very annoying issue. Every 20-30 seconds my frame rate will drop to 47-50 from 60. It will only do this for 1 second and then go back up to 60. Other than that it is usually at 60 the whole time. I have vertical sync on so that whenever it does this I get noticeable stutter. This completely brings me out of the game and will bug me after a while. My PC Spec: i5 2500k Nvidia 980 GTX 16 GB RAM SSD drives -
Stuttering/Frame Rate Drops
icer22x posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
When I first start the game and I load new assets on screen (cast a spell for the first time, open inventory, open new chests, engage new enemies, start new dialogue with new NPCs, open new doors, etc.) my frame rates PLUNGE drastically and the game begins to stutter for a about a second. Considering I am encountering new items/areas/NPCs all the time, this is a very annoying issue. It really destroys my experience with this beautiful game. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Steam or if it is patch related, but it seems other uses are having similar problems with no solutions. Has anyone been running into the same problems and if so, what have you done to remedy it?- 3 replies

One thing I did encounter quite often in this game is that if I'm on a map/scene with a lot of particle effects (like fog, rain, biawac in the beginning, ...), the framerate drops tremendously. On native resolution (1920x1080) and AA off I run this game around 45-50 fps, but everytime the weather goes to rain for example I can be lucky if my fps stay above 30 fps. The same applies for scenes like the biawac in the beginning and every other "flashy" scene only that it goes down to like 19 fps and thats quite annoying in my opinion. I don't know the exact reason for that, but I guess it has to do with the particles in the game and how they affect my CPU. I'm curious if I'm the only one with this problem and I also wanna ask, if an option to turn down particle effect may solve it?

I'm playing on a 27" iMac with 3.4 GHz Intel i5, GF 780M GTX, bootcamped to Windows 8.1. This is well past the recommended requirements, and I'm generally getting really smooth framerates. Graphics setting "high." However, whenever someone casts Chain Lightning (e.g. adra beetles), the game turns into a slideshow until the FX finishes. I don't have a framerate indicator up, but I'd eyeball about 2-3 FPS. Not a huge deal, but nevertheless something that should be addressed.

Hello everyone, So in the middle of my second play-through (thief on PoD) my game suddenly hits a huge amount of lag and runs choppy from there on out. No amount of reloading other saves or the game helps, but waiting a few days seems to. Except it ran smoothly for about 20 minutes before returning to THE SUCK. From what I've seen online it's either blamed on the system or the 3D characters, but these don't make sense to me because I ran a entire play-through without a single graphics incident. Is it just a matter of waiting for a patch, or can I do anything? Specs: Running the game on low graphics Mac OS X Yosemite 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB Thanks guys and gals, Kyle
