  1. Hi, there I have a problem. So, Orb Weavers float in the air, in a gap in the fence, closest to frankenline. Clovers sometimes launch you to the sky, when you walk through them. Bees are often aggressive, called as passive. Roly Poly, such as the sick version has giant hitboxes (only when attacking). Rarely, but still, Ant's, Orb Weaver's Jr., and Bombardier's legs stretch like a piece of gum or something. Last, but not least, my friend's backpack is sent to the backrooms for like 40 hours by now. It goes up and down 800cm. Yeah, that's all. Cheers, Random person.
  2. Giving some feed back on my Co-op/Multiplayer experience in Grounded. I have 4 copies of the game across 4 Steam accounts. I have been attempting to play with my children, all in the same house on the same internet connection. I say attempting because we have not been able to have 4 people play for more than about 2-5 Minutes. The average is a disconnect for at least 1 player every 20-30 seconds. If we only do a 3 player game we can get connected for 10-15 minutes before one of the 3 players is dropped to the main menu. If only 2 players play, then it will usually be Ok for an hour or so at a time. When the game disconnects, you get a brief 1-2 second black screen and then are back at the GROUNDED Splash screen where it asks you to press any key to open the main menu. Even when players are able to be connected, we always have a "HIGH PING" icon in the upper right. We rubber band, and teleport around quite a bit. It seems that jumping will update your location to the host. Example: If you run a far distance,(No jumping) and try to interact with an item, it wont do anything. So if you jump, your location will get updated, and then you will teleport to where the host thinks you are/should be. Often quite far from where you thought you were. Upon being disconnected 5 or 6 times you are met with a message that your password for the game session is wrong and will not let you rejoin. Even if the host never had a password set. When this happens the host must close down the game and start a new session so that players can attempt to join. Another strange thing happens from time to time. When joining a session, players will sometimes be in a strange camera/photo/spectator mode. All the icons and UI messages are all over the screen and jumbled up. You can also see the location of all the BURG.L Chips. The player can only fly around the map. You are not able to interact with anything, or respawn. So you must quit and attempt to rejoin. Doing so often yields the message about an incorrect password, thus forcing the host to start a new session. Not sure if playing across the internet from separate locations is any better or not, as I have only tried playing with people at the same physical location. We are able to play other games online together just fine. Other games that we play without issues include: Halo MCC, Halo Infinite, The Cycle Frontier, Minecraft, Enlisted, Warthunder, Sea of Thieves, Battlefield 4, Easy Red2. So I don't think it has anything to do with our internet connection. I'm thinking its something to do with this game and how its updating from the guests to the host. All in all trying to play multiplayer has been a huge pain and large point of frustration. While single player is fun, we would really like to play together.
  3. I wish to start this discussion remembering some old games, who this game its based i assume. Anyway in dark alliance, champions (norrath ou return to arms) was my favorite games and i played sinse 99, now a days i still have my ps2 and my old partner still plays with me, why im not going to play this? Exactly! Co-oP mode i play with me friend not alone, no one should play alone cuz its boring... RPG its based in sit in a table with friends with paper, no one like me who like to play co-op ou online mode, goes to play alone also i got 3 friends 4 with me to play this, we are not going anymore cuz play solo its BORING!
  4. The topic of multiplayer came up here, and I was wondering what the community feels regarding multiplayer / co-op as a potential stretch-goal down the road?
  5. Pretty much the title...My gamer girl and I love experiences RPGs together even if we just takes turns playing but we discovered the greatness that is the Tales series (we've already played through Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia) and now were addicted to CO-OP RPGs and hoping more exist so I figured I ask at a few of my favorite forums. So yeah we literally JUST finished Vesperia so were looking for another one, now we really prefer a standard RPG as opposed to something like Diablo but feel free to suggest anything also We'd prefer games on NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, Wii or Gamecube since I own all those systems but if there's an awesome enough game I might hunt down the relevant system (including PS3 since PS4s release will likely lower its price). So far I'm looking into Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Diablo 3 (Xbox360), Borderlands 2 (she might not like this one), and hopefully I can find the other tales games (would appreciate a list actually)but I'm sure theres WAY more than that so please lay your suggestions on me...vague, obscure, limited release I don't care as long as you think it would be fun. So yeah go nuts suggest away
  6. The game is absolutely lovely, but in most of the game you have an artificial intelligence following you (Butters/Princessu Kenny/any of the other available party members), it seems like it would be so easy to add co-op, set the camera at a point between the two players, let the battle mechanics stay the same, except for: each player has control over their character's attacks, item usage, special attacks, etc. Items in the world could be interacted with by the second player, but act as if the first player(main character(new kid)) had interacted. As there could only be two players, you could have one using the arrow keys and keypad, and one using the normal controls- Or, do something not completely terrible and have two-player-xbox-controller-usage. The xbox, and steam have ways to update the game for this potential update, not sure about the playstation. Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forums.
  7. Hi everyone, Contributor to Project Eternity looking forward to my shiny, sexy badge at whatever the $250 level is making my first post. I'm just starting to poke my head around here and get a feel for the Obsidian community, so my apologies if i talk about anything that's been already discussed to death. The theme of this post, as the title indicates, are which things you want to make sure that Project Eternity does NOT have in it. My list, off the top of my head, is as follows: 1. Multiplayer 2. Co-op 3. Motion Control support 4. Social gaming of any kind 5. Any sort of casual tie-in like a facebook or phone apps 6. An overabundance of bugs My reasons for this are as follows. With regards to Multiplayer and Co-op, I agree with that theoretically it is possible to have these things and not detract from the Single Player experience, but in general I view that as being similar to how Unicorns and Elves could potentially exist in the depths of rain forests that have not been fully explored. In other words, I acknowledge that it has not been entirely DISPROVEN to be possible, but that the odds tend to be low. With motion control support, I simialrly acknowledge that there might be some games significantly made better by having it. I'd be hard pressed to name these games at this time, but I do admit to the possibility. In particular, I think there's a good chance that, say, a Golf game or a Zelda game could be made better. With a traditional RPG, I'd prefer, at this time, to stick with what has been known to work. My reason for not wanting social gaming is pretty straightforward. I hope that Project Eternity has an immersive, compelling story with fascinating characters that I grow to love a great deal. Just like how trying to read a book socially or watch a movie with someone constantly talking would be detrimental to such things in my opinion, I see social gaming as something that HINDERS narrative, plot and character development rather than helps it. Casual tie-ins like facebook and phone apps strike me as money grabbing and general bloodsucking. See: Mass Effect 3. Don't do this pretty please Obsidian? On the subject of bugs...this is one that I have to be a bit delicate on I think. I like Obsdiian's games for the most part. I enjoy the writing. I think they do good characters. If I didn't like this company, I wouldn't have donated at the level that I did. But I DO view that donation as being inherently risky because of Obsidian's track record in this area. I have often seen publishers blamed for incomplete, unfinished and unpolished offerings from Obsidian and I am sure there is some truth to that. But...Obsidian seems to not be able to release a polished and finished product REGARDLESS of who the publisher is. Hopefully the Kickstarter model will fix this, but I would be remiss in not mentioning this issue with past titles. Anyway, what about others? Is my list comprehensive? Do you have your own suggested additions or subtractions off of it?
