    Failed Legend
  1. It was a bit aggravating that often times even when the game paused upon trap discovery (with my rogue in the front) it was often too late to stop the party from bumbling into it. So /signed
  2. I am in NO way an artist and this is definitely a rush job (ie. bad background removal causing some artifacts in the final outcome) just to see what would happen by using GIMP and , than adding a slight (3) "oilify" filter and finally adding the background I ended up with this...dunno if it counts as "watercolour" but was curious if a non-artist like myself even had a chance to use custom portraits (and yes one of my rangers was Kristoff, he hung out with my Chrono Trigger Squad occasionally)...atm I'm thinking no but I might keep messing around with gimp if I have time.
  3. @Hilfazer: I repeat. 19/1 Issue: I'm sure there will be abilities and/or that have lvl requirements just in POE1 some even required max level, also as has been mentioned several times class abilities will scale with level. I don't want multi-classing in ANY form: Don't use that feature, problem solved.
  4. I agree, it would have been alot more "impactful" if when you fixed a building it started to get used instead of just being a mechanical bonus. Also hoping for some "ship-wide" equipment/inventory system. It's such a pain to cycle through active and inactive member to keep equipment up on everyone (I tend to cycle through companions) If possible I would love it that instead of having to stop what I'm doing to resolve attacks on my ship the characters still on the ship should be able to do so (under my control), really drove home that the other companions/adventurers were just in a random limbo instead of at the base.
  5. 19/1 Issue: I'm sure there will be abilities that require Lvl 20 just like some required Max level in POE1, also as has been mentioned several times class abilities will scale with level. 2e Multi-classing is best: Alternate your level ups, will simulate 2e Multi-classing where-as 2e multi-classing cannot simuate free-form Free-form multi-classing makes no sense "lore/fluff-wise": It makes just as much sense as why spellcasters "suddenly" learn new spells as they level up...because it's NOT suddenly, you gain new knowledge throughout your experiences during that level...I mean more than enough weapon, spell tomes, armor, etc. get dropped by enemies to practice with...if it suits you put one of those dropped items into the persons inventory to simulate them keeping it on-hand. POE2 is even better suited to it since according to the devs each class will have items specific to them like Mages had spellbooks. If anything 2e style multi-classing is FAR more limiting "fluff-wise" as you can only mutli-class at level 1....for example sure I could make a rogue/cleric at level 1 if I want that "mechanically" but that only accounts for BACKstory fluff-wise, I can't adapt to anything that happens during my actual roleplaying of that character, for example I could choose to play a halfling rogue starting out but if he were to find religion and start training to become a Cleric of "X" I can't do that with 2e, 3.Xe is perfect for that, POE2's proposed MC system only allows for one "twist" which is a bit annoying...I'd advocate max 3 classes if only because I doubt they'd allow 4 (the most amount of classes I've seen used at my table). Of course I can see the issues with the "fake" levels granted so I'll tolerate the limit to 2 classes. I don't want multi-classing in ANY form: Don't use that feature, problem solved. I mean I didn't enjoy Durance or Pallegina despite them being pretty popular but I'm not upset they kept Pallegina for POE2 I'm just not going to bother using her. (With MC, Aloth & Eder I only have 2 slots to try the new companions anyways)
  6. So yeah pretty short and simple the, 3.5mil stretch goal includes the line "This also adds options to pick your own colors for sails and flags!" I was just wondering would this include the ability to upload custom images for your sails/flags similar to adding custom character portraits (ie. Size limits, file type, etc.)...if not already planned can it be done?
  7. Maybe the Spiritshift focused archetype could get permanent shift and either gains the ability to use some equipment (thinking rings, necklaces, etc.) OR gains a Swarm Form which is immune to Disengage and causes DOT within a small AOE (the size of the swarm)
  8. I actually really love the idea of a "Swarm" Sub-class for Rangers...possible "Swarm" companions could be Bees, GMS Hamsters (or GMS Piglets), Bats, Snakes, etc. otherwise a "Swarm" Spiritshift would be cool too :D
  9. Just a quick questions to the devs and the opinions of other Pillar Enthusiasts. With the possible introduction of relationships to POE2 will you be able to set some "like/dislikes, etc." for your MC or is it just your choices that affect this, Also would we see Adventurers have a few "character trait" selections so they feel more "real" For example if my party if Aloth, Eder, MC and 2 Adventurers will I see any interaction with those 2 adventurer's?
  10. Hope this means permanent spiritshift is a thing in POE2, preferably with the option for actual equipment (even if there's limitation like no metal armor kinda thing...and something similar to "amulet of mighty fists" so the paw attacks can be enchanted) since it was cool early game but quickly died off as a option. @Faerunner: If it helps there's an updated mod for POE1 that allows permanent spiritshifting, you can even see my Bear/Nature party (Tree Chanter, Bear Druid, 4x Ranger w/ Bear) in ones of the pics http://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/138/? (not my mod, just a submitted pic)
  11. Sadly, 200$ isn't "mere" to me and I'd likely have to replace my motherboard to upgrade anyways. Also I wasn't complaining, just asking. If you can swing it, you may look for a used PC on Craig's List, eBay, yard sales, pawn shop, or something equivalent. When I've been strapped for cash I've hit pawn shops/yard sales and snagged a PC that was better than I had for pretty cheap. Then slap you gfx card in it, and voila. You could easily find someone selling a Sandy bridge system for a couple hundred or less, and it would do fine. I've helped friends find cheap PCs this way as well, and more recently. Just a suggestion. Yeah I'll be keeping an eye out on craig's list, etc. :D Good luck! I don't know what games you play (other than PoE), but if you aren't big on modern AAA games you can get away with murder on a used system. Also, I forgot to add Salvation Army and Good Will to that list if you have them locally. Main reason I haven't bothered upgrading...the big resource hogs aren't really my thing...most of my games are more of the old school variety and their spiritual successors but their even starting to push that envelope. @EJSING: Thanks for the laugh.

  14. Then don't take any druid levels for Edér. Problem solved. Obviously. But from a story perspective, if someone does chose to take druid or mage, how does the story accommodate that? Or is it just a gamey thing that won't get explained? No the devs are not going to waste resources for even a little blurb for every single possible companion multi-class, luckily they don't need to because we have an incredible thing called imagination, often referred to as head canon....the same reason that Eder is still Eder even if i spec him to use bows, a big two-hander or heavy armor and shield. I also repeat, if you don't want to multi-class then just don't, no reason to remove the feature.
