  1. Uf...The animation budget must have ran out for this episode... That was a sharp drop in quality. Also what a strange place to cut the episode. I guess they still have one more and they wanted to fill it out a bit more.
  2. He was groundbreakingly good. Here's an interesting thing about Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic: it's not quite in any normal tuning, it's slightly above D major but below D sharp / E flat. Its duration, as a single, is 3:58. My guess is that the recording was sped up ever so slightly so that the single would fit under the magical 4 minute duration. (Kiss might have done the same with Tears Are Falling.)
  3. Lycan Colony (2006) - The son and daughter of a missing ex-special forces operative and a disgraced alcoholic surgeon cross paths in a town populated entirely by werewolves. You know, as someone who watches a lot of crappy movies, I'm quite accustomed to seeing day for night. Seeing both actual shot at night and multiple instances of day for night, different but both awful, in the same sequence is new though. To say that this movie is incompetent would be quite the understatement. Everything is wrong. Everything. The acting is atrocious, the audio blows out the microphone numerous times, there are scenes filmed in front of a green screen of a forest when other scenes were actually shot in a forest, rather than draw a tattoo with a sharpie on one of the actors, the filmmaker decided it was a better idea to superimpose an image on a moving body part with predictable results, also there's fart magic. This film was clearly made by someone who had no clue whatsoever how to make a movie.
  4. today were arguable the single worst day trump has had in regards to his numerous court cases. first: https://www.npr.org/2023/12/01/1216541738/appeals-court-trump-immunity-jan-6-riot-lawsuits Former President Donald Trump is not immune from being sued over the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, a federal appeals court ruled Friday, clearing the way for lawsuits filed against him in connection with the deadly riot. judge luttig thoughts on the matter: not only did the judge find the appeals court decision persuasive but he did not see any reason why SCOTUS would grant cert if trump appealed. judge luttig, btw, before he started to criticize trump, were arguable one o' the top three most respected living textualists (conservatives.) am gonna suggest the guy who were most instrumental in getting clarence thomas nominated by bush were luttig. nobody has ever confused luttig with liberals. also, for those not understanding how the arcane US judicial system operates, appeals court decisions create binding precedent for lower district courts, so were no surprise when... second: https://www.npr.org/2023/12/01/1216696071/donald-trump-election-interference-immunity-claims-rejected-tanya-chutkan Donald Trump is not immune from prosecution in his election interference case in Washington, a federal judge ruled Friday, knocking down the Republican's bid to derail the case charging him with plotting to overturn the 2020 presidential election. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan's decision amounts to a sharp rejection to challenges the Trump defense team had raised to the four-count indictment in advance of a trial expected to center on the Republican's multi-pronged efforts to undo the election won by Democrat Joe Biden. larry is the preeminent con law scholar-- he literally wrote the book on the subject. that said, mr. tribe clear don't like trump, trump policies and the maga credo in general, so he might be indulging a smidge o' wishful thinking. luttig and tribe? two elder statesman o' the law who on paper appear to be natural adversaries agree trump had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. take it for what it's worth. HA! Good Fun!
  5. I love how bad the video quality of the stream on Twitter is. We have super sharp videos from all the stuff before, but now that it's Twitter only, you can only see this pixelated mess.
  6. The Exorcist III (1990). I thought it was a very enjoyable religious horror drama. The quick, razor sharp dialogue between our two old men, Kinderman and Father Dyer, for the first half of the film made for a pretty great character drama that properly sets up the second half and allows the viewer to truly invest in the film, which is a problem I very often seem to have with so-called 'fun' horror films who clearly just don't care and would prefer to film very clumsy/repetitive/cheap stabbing and strangulation scenes completely devoid of any impact. Ahem, Mr. Carpenter. Anyways, George C. Scott gave a seriously great performance in this.
