  1. The Chase is going to be a pain to watch, amid other problems.
  2. Washington's finishing move was called "Crossing the Delaware" apparently. Surprised it looks like a 3/4 facelock jawbreaker though; always figured it'd be more of a crucifix powerbomb. The things you find out these days with all the scholarship into the history of professional wrestling in the US.
  3. More TNG Rascals - a fun episode, but would tge Ferengi really have left the kids on the ship rather than beaming them down planet? A Fistful of Datas - fun episode, but when there are computer malfunctions that specifically targets the entertainment systems why does no one ever think 'was someone using the holideck?'. It'd be like the power going out in a building today and no one checking elevators or bathrooms.
  4. Science YouTuber Wins $10,000 Bet With Physicist Xyla Foxlins video on building the 'proof' cart:
  5. Second dose of Moderna kicked me where it hurt too. I didn't lose the ability to use my arm, but I did have a fever, headache, queasiness and chills so bad I was trembling head to toe most of the day after the shot. Most of the symptoms (except arm soreness) was gone by the second day, so hopefully your experience will be similar or better.
  6. You clearly haven't talked to the same academics I've talked to. The type who won't even entertain a hypothetical question about UFOs because "aliens don't exist". Note most scientists I've talked with (and of course anecdotal evidence and all) are more likely to not be dismissive of the possibility due to lack of evidence. But other disciplines...
  7. I didn't say they didn't have to prove it. What I am saying is the lack of hard evidence to date doesn't mean hard evidence doesn't or can't exist, which is something that I think people, including academics,, miss or forget.
  8. Can't find the exact interview with Abrams' quote (I did find a few where he talked about not liking Star Trek, but not that quote) and now I just don't call which magazine or newspaper I read it in.
  9. There's a weird trend I've noticed amid modern entertainment watchers that seems to insist that every important event must be detailed or else nothing makes sense. It first stuck me when J. J. Abrams said he could never get into Star Trek because he couldn't understand why Kirk, Spock and Bones were friends (lolwut?) and thus why the Star Trek reboot 'fixed' that by showing their first meeting (or something to that effect). And I was like...when did that ever matter to any of the stories they told? Its like saying you can't understand Casablanca without the details of Rick and Ilsa's previous relationship and break-up. That said, I don't think Star Wars was made worse by revealing the answers to lingering questions so much as hurt by answering them in poorly conceived ways. You could have set up Anakin's injuries and even Obi-Wan 'winning' without making Anakin look like a dweeb whose petulant anger blinds him to the fact that he's stupidly endangering himself. I also think this is why everyone seems to think a tv show or a movie needs to be an origin story of some kind, whether its the start of a friendship, and antagonism, or whatever. Don't get it.
  10. Some academics have been studying UFOs (just as they do parapsychology, etc). I think the problem is less about 'academics' and more in general a problem with people who tend towards "absence of evidences IS evidence of absence" (or seeing is believing) that plagues certain people's logic in any field.
  11. I keep reading that headline as "Lockheed's F-35 topless competition in Swiss fighter contest." and I keep doing a comedy double take reading it.
  12. The problem is there's no real dates listed, so it seems more generically representational than representative of an actual historical period. I'd imagine the Apalachee, Miccosuke, Alabama and others are being lumped into the Creek/Creek Confederacy area. They don't have the Tunica either, but maybe they're lumping them in with the Biloxi because they're linked in modern day. The map also doesn't list the peoples that De Sota met/wiped out that merged with/became the Choctaw either.
  13. You'll probably need to take your question to https://aw.my.games/en and maybe the discord there. They have a starter section and a game guide there.
  14. Atlanta last won it when they weren't in Atlanta but St. Louis in '58. Clippers and Suns never won it but they also both started as teams a year or three before the time the Bucks won the championship... Preference is the home team of course, but I'd also be cool with any of the remaining teams.
  15. And here I'd managed to forget Lord Foul's Bane. Well except for the repeated use of the words 'uncouth' and 'unclean', which I doubt I'll ever lose...
