RIP Johnny Crawford. Probably best known for playing Mark McCain, the son of Chuck Connors' Lucas McCain on The Rifleman, but was also an original Mouseketeer and singer.

Some things are probably contractual. I've read some of the DC stuff Cartoon Network shows is forced on them from the upper WB group.

This is what I've always heard. They've cancelled popular shows due to not getting revenue from merchandising.

Max: "What the hell was that...?" Wade: "You gave me the nod." Max: "A 'hit him in the face nod' not a 'throw him off the roof nod'." Wade: "I thought that was what you wanted." Max: "At most, at most, that was a 'break his fingers nod'. Jesus Wade, the man was a scientific genius. Granted his weight signaled certain impulse control issues but...that's no reason to throw his fat ass off 57 floors." Wade: "I'm sorry." I thought THE LOSERS was underappreciated. Finger guns was fun too.

It'll probably be a few more years before it comes to that. They'll need at least one more year to see if 2021's ratings crash is a trend or not.

"The Inner Light" TNG Another strong story. It was a poignant tale. I did expect Picard to ask when he finally reawakened about why Riker and Crusher left him lying on the floor for 20 minutes, though.

Or eat it in milk, it'll never seem dry then!

I really like hot cornbread crumbled in cold whole milk. Some people like it in buttermilk or sweet milk, and some people think day old cornbread is better in milk than freshly baked, but I've always liked the fresh out of the oven heat in the cornbread fighting with the coolness of the milk, personally. I usually heat up day-old cornbread if that's what I'm using. But I can eat it cold. ... And now back up to the hills for me...

One of the things I noticed with Dr. Oz - Ken Jennings and Mark Richards, when they had the 'banter time' would tend to talk about Alex Trebek. Katie Couric talked about the charity fundraising. Dr. Oz talked about...himself. Not always directly, like one time he wanted to complement the contestants for their skill and intelligence and his statement was something like "I continue to be amazed about how the contestants keep exceeding my expectations" making the complement less about the contestant skill and more about him. Maybe its just my perception, but it just didn't sit right to me. It may also be, to be fair, an artifact of his show, which I think is very much built around his opinion so it may have become his default to have off-the-cuff remarks to position things around his opinion, expertise or view of the topic at hand. Aaron Rogers had a very slow delivery, which threw me when he started, but I ended up liking him pretty well. There are a few guest hosts I'm interested in seeing how they do, but I'm excited for LeVar Burton to have a chance to host. Really glad to see that happen.

O'Neil would be Stargate and Cash would be Tango and Cash. There's a couple more references to Kurt Russell movies that I think are after this screenshot in Todd's profile . I don't know if the gun is specifically a reference to Aliens, but the USCM is. Tannhauser Gate is also a reference to Blade Runner (its one of the things that Roy Batty references as he dies - "Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate."). Pretty sure Nibian Moons and Antares Maelstrom are references to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, but maybe Antares is a double reference. Khan on his pursuit of Kirk: "I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round perdition's flames before I give him up."

That was pretty much my experience after my 2nd shot, except my fever was just 100° F and that my symptoms didn't kick in overnight, but after I'd been at work for a few hours after waking up feeling fine...

We never really had cream of mushroom soup growing up - my mom didn't like mushrooms and didn't like cream soups. But we always had Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup on hand. My mom was big believer in the healing powers of Chicken Soup. Thankfully, I liked Chicken Noodle soup.

Weirdly, I started re-watching the Buck Rogers series not really thinking about the age of the show...but 40 years on, I'm still dreading season 2.
