Birthright Pt 2(TNG) Now that the setup is over with, Wolf and the Romulan-Klingon peace community was pretty good. Worf acted smart, the conflict was reasonable and - not having to share time with a B plot - had room to breathe as a story.

Yes, I thought that was fun too. I think Des Barres got a better use than Bruce McGill (original Jack Dalton).

I basically recreated my SR2 boss in SR3 (as much as possible given the different engine) and was annoyed I couldn't do the same in SR4. I wanted the same Boss who'd fought the Sons of Samedi in a super drug induced high (ending with falling over a couch) in Saints Row 2 and who sung along to "What I got" with Pierce in Saints Row 3 to be president in Saints Row 4. It just wasn't the same with a different voice to me.... I don't know why, but I have a feeling in this game, it may be possible to branch the narrative with your choices...

I watched the entirety of the new Macgyver. It was never a show that I think ever managed to click entirely but it wasn't unentertaining. It had a very shaky start (they ditched the original pilot and completely retooled it not long before it premiered including completely changing a lot of the cast) and it showed. So I can't blame anyone for tuning out, they started with a wildly uneven show that could easily be tuned out. I also think it suffered from 'team-itis' a bit (the original show as I recall was mostly just Mac and occasionally some other re-occurring guys + Dana Elcar at the bookends, the new show was Mac and his team being led from a base being fed intel which is used for a whole lot of shows (Arrow, Flash, Scorpion, etc) and the emphasis on the team is pretty much every drama show on the US (NCIS, Hawaii 5-O, Law and Order: SVU, Arrow, Flash, etc).) So RDA is right, there was more violence, because the team have to be showcased and one of the team is new-Mac's protector and a military guy (later replaced with a military lady), and 100% more computer hacking because the team had to be showcased and one of the team they recruited from prison because they'd hacked the US government. But also new-Mac did solve problems creatively and non-lethally, usually once or twice an episode with his VO explaining what he was doing and how. Probably the real strength was the cast, who I thought managed to shake off the rough start and gel as an ensemble but YMMV. They also had a fun re-occurring villain in David Dastmalchian's Murdoc that got lost as the show itself lost its focus in some poorly realized dramatic stories, rather than sticking to their strength with lighter stories. I'm sure the actors appreciated the chance to stretch their acting muscles, but IMO a lot of the drama stuff (like the stuff with new-Mac's dad) was poorly conceptualized and therefore stood out as flat area in the episodes.

As I understand it, that's what the Texas statute allows for their anti-abortion law; anyone can sue even if they do not have any connection to anyone else involved, and they can sue anyone in the chain (the doctor, the person who drove them their, the person receiving the abortion, the person who gave them money to get the abortion)

I'm still mad they didn't return that voice for SR4.

And Magic Knight Rayearth which I seem to remember had a positive reception back in the day. I remember playing the Saturn game that Working Designs translated, but at this point can't remember a whole lot else about it other than I think it was based on the first season of the tv anime.

Oh that reminds me: Birthright pt 1, TNG Worf is an idiot. Why did Bashier need to sneak on the Enterprise to use their equipment? I don't remember his character that well from DS9, but my memory of the first season was that he wasn't... the bold 'I'ma gonna sneak on yer ship and fiddle wid yer equipment" type. Could be wrong of course as I haven't seen an episode of DS9 since they first aired. Why in an episode that could have really highlighted the skills and benefits of a counselor is Troi barely in it and when she is she kind of treats Worf unsympathetically? Why does Data go to Worf and not Troi for advice? Yes I know it sets up Worf's revelations of what he needs to do, but there doesn't seem a reason other than plot expediency. Why does the security chief of the Enterprise not seem to recognize that the situation he finds himself in at the end of the episode is not as he'd been told and change his plans? Because he's an idiot, see first statement. Also Data gets an upgrade, I guess.

Yeah wasps are a downer. My dad got stung by one a few weeks back at his feeder, and ended up having a bad reaction to it (he's okay now). -
Apostrophe sounds right. Actually that spelling looks right too. I've never got into social media, which is I guess kinda weird. I've lost touch with a few friends because they went social media only (not entirely, but I can only read what they post now on their public pages.)

That's an incredibly huge stretch that ignores the fact people might just get tired of ads touting 'Pumpkin Spice' in everything. Also I find interesting the declaration that it is only women who eat/drink pumpkin spice flavored things. Is that true? Is there research indicating men do not eat or drink pumpkin spice things ever? (the world of coffee escapes me, so I dunno what's going on).

Isn't the other ship the JS Makami, the Maritime Japanese Self-Defense Forces ship? Which would make the flag the Maritime Self-Defense Force flag (with an offset sun, not sun in the center like the Imperial Rising sun flag). They're also flying the US courtesy flag, implying they're in US waters. Since Japan is currently a US ally...what am I missing?

Wow, Citybuster's a name I haven't thought of in years. Mozex as well. Was Alla something like Alla Dety (I kept wanting to read it like Alla Diety, but it wasn't that) or am I thinking of a different Alla...?

Welcome back then?

I want permadeath, but only for Wolverine. Like Khalid in BG, he'd mysteriously wander out into a rampaging horde and...be gone. No clue if the game will be good, but will be particularly interested if we get some deep cuts from the Marvel mystic side.

Yersinia pestis the primary suspect* for the Black Death (and responsible for Bubonic Plague, Septicemic Plague and Pneumonic Plague) is transmitted by fleas between carriers; an infected rat would come into human inhabitations, the fleas on the rat would also bite humans and in doing so inject them with the bacteria, infecting them. Thus the disease would spread between rat and human - and also camels, chickens and pigs and several other animals. *I know there's still some debate about the actual nature of the plague.

@majestic @Fionavar is probably the best person to approach; I'm assuming (which may be wrong) that the censor filter is Obsidian admin's area of control

I got rid of my mattress last year, but that's because springs were poking out of it, and it had become deucedly difficult to sleep on.
