I haven't read THE SANDMAN series since it came out, but I certainly enjoyed it at the time. I liked how the various stories all eventually weaved together in a rather fatalistic tapestry.

Sadly those moral alignment "discussion" invariably happened at (a) low levels) and (b) in any situation where I'd get the short end of the stick regardless when I played PnP back in the day...

Wow I never heard of those. thanks for the links In a pointless bit of trivia, The Micronauts line was based on Japan's Microman line which in turn ended up being a predecessor to the changing toy line that became The Transformers in the US. Mego was a huge company in the 70s, but not getting the Star Wars toys killed them in the late 70s.

HGahah! yeah that does seem to be the right attitude to take with the character. That's why its frustrating when I find myself re-reading the choices trying to figure out what I'm talking about!
-
Yeah the Malkavian dialogue is pretty fun, although I find myself trying to decipher the dialogue as sometimes I can't even make sense of it (sometimes I just pick whichever dialogue choice seems the funnest!)
-
Sorta; I managed to scrape enough funds for a half-decent laptop for some stuff I needed to do and it turns out it can, quite coincidently, play a few games that I couldn't play before... It is awesome. Try playing as a Malkavian. Right now I have a Malkavian and a Brujah. I love the Malkavian responses. I hate my Brujah's hat (but the character is fun).

Ah I had a Stretch Armstrong. He liquified in his styrofoam container. I had Maskatron from the Six Million Dollar Man line; my brother had Steve Austin. I also had a number of Megos But without a doubt my favorite toys were The Micronauts

Hey Sammael, I tend to lurk here more than post for some reason. But I have my moments... Sewers? AAAAAAAA SPOILERS! MY EYES, MYEYES!!!!! I remember reading things in the past that a lot of people think that the game "jumps the shark" after certain points. I'm hoping its more of a case of it being less good (or more combaty which is one thing I've heard) and not a case of Lionheart-itis.

You know, it took my about 12 years to finally learn how to joust in that game! Oh man, I hated Defender of the Crown. After jousts my royal dude always looked SOooooo depressed. As far as worst endings go, I still probably hate The Secret of Mana the most. I threw my controler at the ground in disgust after that. Really glad that I didn't break it... Final Fantasy Tactics' end seemed to suffer from really poor translation (as did Breath of Fire 2 on a whole, but the endings seemed confused by the English language).

I will...once I stop restarting. Too many character options to try!

I've finally got around to this game. So far, its been really good. Really well done realization of the setting, IMO. Will probably talk more about it when I quit trying all the character types and actually get on with playing the game... :)"

Yeah, I figured that a thread centered on positing what happened to the main character of a game was pretty self-evidently going to be full of spoilers. Sorry about that.

There's also a couple of insta-death points in the game (Going up against the Lady of Pain or Lothar) that I think most people count in the game

I'm currently finishing up Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones In the meantime I've been playing PuyoPop Fever and Animal Crossing Wide World, as well as Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Lego Star Wars II and Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria. I have Summon Night 2 and SMT:Devil Summoner waiting in the wings.

I played it and got kinda bored with it. There never really was IMO much strategy to the fights and because they ended in one hit 99% of the time, the fact that you had vast levels to run through made no sense, as you never got to saw them unless you specifically decided to run around them.
-
I guess I just play differently. Of course using characters after you hit 20 is silly, but I've managed to get a pretty even character level with who I'm playing with only going through the tower once (haven't even touched the Ruins other than to see what the first level was like).
-
Ah, yeah. Didn't realize you weren't using Seth. Yeah I've read theories about not using certain characters because they're XP absorbers, but in my mind that's what the ruins and tower are for, to flesh out those who may have not seen as much XP in battle as Seth. So a lot of times my game plan has been based around letting tanks take on a lot of the battle and have everyone else take out what they can. I'm on the second to the last battle (I think) and struggling not to get at least one of my characters killed.

I've kept watching at this, and think its really improved a lot.

I liked the first one pretty well, myself. The other two I never really saw much point in.

Whooo...okay I saw over the weekend: The Grudge 2 - Similar but more expansive to the original US remake (helmed again by Shimizu). Expands on the concept a good deal but keeps most of the mystery intact. A couple of really good creepy momnets but not, IMO, as creepy as the earlier film. The Cop in Blue Jeans - kinda weak sub-Serpico Italian film about a special agent police officer trying to take down a group of "purse snatching" thugs(!) only to run afoul of an even bigger criminal. Entertainment value mostly derived from some of the sheer ridiculousness of various situations. Wakusei daisenso aka The War in Space - Toho's last space film, made to capitalize on the "Star Wars Phenomenon". A weak effort (or perhaps its just a weak dub, need to sit down and watch the sub) that has a few good ideas wrapped up with a lot of stuff in previous Toho space films (alien invaders who change appearance, kidnap women, etc) Man in the Attic - A decent version of "The Lodger", only this time they change the end. Still Jack Palance and Constance Smith do pretty well in their parts as the Lodger and the woman who finds herself interested in him. Khun krabii hiiroh aka Sars Wars: Bangkok Zombie Crisis - super-insane zombie-action-comedy-parody that is completely off the wall. Very, very worth seeing, IMO, as I was laughing so hard several times I had to rewind the film as I missed things!

Oh yeah, that one was hard even on normal mode. . But whether that works on hard mode or not...NO CLUE!
-
That game is seriously starting to piss me off. I'm trying to go through on hard mode without losing anyone, but I swear it's impossible to get through the 6th mission (1st fog of war I think) because The tanks just aren't enough of a tank yet at that point to just soak damage. If its the first fog of war one, IIRC what I did was But that wasn't on hard mode. I'd totally die on hard mode.

I've been on a bit of a GBA/DS kick and have been playing Trace Memory (just finished it in fact), Puyo Pop Fever and (the most currently playing) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
-
I saw Voodoo Island with Boris Karloff (pretty good but the story kind of collapsed in the last fourth of the movie) and The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake which has some interesting ideas marred by some of the worst police work in the history of film
