  1. How many years do we need to have been on the boards to understand that reference? He was around back in 2012 at least. Can't remember at what point he stopped posting. Probably after Kickstarter campaign? funcroc last posted in 2014 - https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/59705-obsidian-currently-working-on-next-gen-console-title/?p=1418922
  2. I dunno, the trailer indicated the girls' outfits were brief and clearly expressed.
  3. Interesting trailer!
  4. IMO the first one was the only good one.
  5. ...So where and how exactly can I get my hands on some PNP Avellone goodness? I think he worked on the following for the CHAMPIONS line: Dystopia Heroic Adventures Volume 1 Heroic Adventures, Vol. 2: Six Adventures for Dark Champions Underworld Enemies
  6. Funny story, when the game came out, the college I was at got a bunch of copies of the soundtrack as a promotional item. So much so that even though they were giving them away to faculty/staff/students/random-walker-bys, I could have probably still walked home with 5 or 6 without anyone batting an eye.
  7. Which movie thread? This one The title of that thread says, "Movies You've Seen Recently Thread". I have not seen Rogue One the movie. Have you? When did thread titles bother anyone here with respect to what they posted though?
  8. Yeah I confess, I don't really keep up with the updates. I skim them to make sure there isn't a "we're cancelling development because we blew all the money on hookers and cocaine serious game development, but unlike many I don't really have a vested interest in giving my 2 cents - I backed creators to create.
  9. Wait a minute...everyone doesn't have a big self-destruct button in their house? Great, NOW you tell me...
  10. You know I never played the Interstate '76 series, but was a big fan of the spin-off Vigilante 8 series. I'd be up for something that revisited either.
  11. Does being a smart-ass count as being smart? I mean it has smart in it, and everything!
  12. Best of luck to them. I hope I get the chance to buy a finished Consortium: The Tower some day. I've never really seen crowdfunding as a way to "save money" on the game. In the end - to me at least - having a game I like is kind of secondary to trying to support someone doing something they may not be able to do any other way that sounds like something I'd like. I may not like the end result, but that just means that I won't join to crowdfund anything else by that group, because at the end of the day you're investing in something you want to see exist with the hope that it'll be good.
  13. Ask this guy He skipped leg day. I think he goofed and did his leg exercises with his chest. THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S DONE CAP!
  14. I seem to recall reading that Ubisoft is only using internal groups to develop their games. South Park being done by Obsidian was only because they picked it up from THQ, but it started at Ubi it'd have been internal. So Obsidian getting to do the sequel was never in the cards as Ubi was always going to take the license to an internal team.
  15. Ask this guy He's got all the ribs. I liked the fan edit that balanced a coffee cup on the pectorals.
  16. That's "what happened to the woman's spine, ribs and internal organs?"
  17. As far as I know (and I welcome correction on this point), there's no such thing as an illegal citizen in the US. Naturalized citizens would have to be denaturalized to be deportable and citizens by birth can only renounce their citizenship, not be denaturalized. Legally at least (I know they're are cases where the courts have due to judicial error deported people).
  18. I look at it and wonder what happened to their spines.
  19. Wouldn't the counter argument be that you're increasing the power of rural voters compared to city dwellers? In theory, under the popular vote system wouldn't everyone's vote count the same and failure to secure the popular vote be representative of a failure to have the backing of the majority of the people? Wouldn't that depend on how you changed it? Also the city dwellers should still have (gerrymandering notwithstanding) the vast majority of congressional representation and (if one just reverted to the old system) the largest portion of the state government representation that would end up choosing the Senators, but arguably the rural areas would have enough strength as a group to make sure the elected candidate couldn't forget that the state consisted of more than the big population centers - which is possible in the popular vote. But I wasn't really necessarily proposing a return to the old way, I just think there should be a way that still allows representation amid disparate population areas rather than disenfranchisement.
  20. Does seem like in this day & age there should be a better way to do it - because I imagine almost every state of any significant size has the problem related to population dense areas vs more rural areas which may end up voiceless.
  21. As I recall, the going theory against the existing system was that Senate positions could be bought/sold by negotiating with the people who ended up with a say in the election process. That said while there were a few historically contested election, there wasn't really proof at the time of widespread corruption but I can certainly see where it might be easier to bribe a few key state legislators than it is to sway the popular election. The other issue was electoral deadlocks in the state legislature that could prevent anyone being elected and the seat(s) remaining vacant which had been an issue, IIRC.
  22. Thanks for the explanation, I honestly had never read anyone with an issue on the 17th Amendment before - not that that means anything, there's lots of things I've never read, but it did make me curious as to what the objection was.
  23. What is the issue with the 17th Amendment?
  24. Cover controversies aren't anything new (remember Heroes for Hire #13 from 2007?). I think given the last couple of years people make more of a note over things that reflect the ongoing internet debate of "sexism". EDIT: Part of the Kefauver hearings on Juvenile Delinquency (aka comics) that Wertham's claims spearheaded centered the cover of a comic as well - Crime SuspenStories #22)
  25. I think the Red Alert as an alarm to wake up to would start my day with me going head first into my ceiling as I leapt out of bed, though.
