  5. Please remember that not everyone has the capability or desire to play on a Personal Computer. Responding to a thread where the original poster has specifically indicated that PC is not an option for them by telling the OP to play it on a PC is at best inconsiderate and at worst trolling. I've cleaned this thread up so that it can be refocused on discussion of the console version of the game. We ask that the users of this board treat one another with respect, even when opinions differ. If there is an issue with a post or a derailing of a thread, like trolling can do, please report the post(s).
  6. I got asked what animal I'd be in an interview. Blanked on the entirety of fauna both known and speculative when the question was asked. Eventually stumbled upon 'albatross'. Was asked if I picked that because it soared for hours at sea. Answered no, I literally couldn't think of any animals until Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner popped into my head. Probably not the best answer, but it was the truth. Didn't get what I was interviewing for, obviously.
  7. Has nothing to do with darker stories. I think Star Trek can support that. I think the problem lies in modern creators being cynical about the underlying principals of Starfleet.
  8. I watched the extended directors cut of SUICIDE SQUAD again. I still enjoyed it even though its a mess of a story. I think all the characters are well done even they dont all pay off. Saw BIRDS OF PREY. Enjoyed it, though I think there's a section in the middle where it drags a bit.
  9. I get where you're coming from with DS9. But I also think while it was good, it opened the door enough away from the core of the original show that people felt emboldened to continue in that direction. So instead of being the show that was a cool exception to the rules, it became the rules.
  10. Personally I think all Trek has suffered, post-Roddenberry, from the creators not really believing in the concepts the original show built. Particularly Vulcans in general but also Starfleet's utopian ideal. Haven't seen Picard or Discovery yet though.
  11. The House isn't where the trial happens. My understanding - congressional committees (like the House Judicial Committee) takes evidence or accusations of malfeasance and investigates. The results of the investigation is passed on to the full house who votes on the Articles of Impeachment, or the formal accusation. The Senate is supposed to take the formal accusation and try the accuded. So my layman's understanding is the congressional committee is like the police and prosecutors who bring their evidence to the House, which is like a grand jury, and if the grand jury recommends proceeding, the the senate acts as the trial venue for the accused on the charges brought forth (in the Impeachment). I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.
  12. Looks like she wasn't practicing so much as she tore it so that she could get a clean tear when the cameras were on her.
  13. It was all a dream...of Bob Newheart's previous sitcom character. It was hilarious, imo. Ymmv.
  14. Looks like a hoodie or headscarf to me. The striped part curves close to the head like a hoodie or headscarf can, the solid band is the opening for the face (which, per the angle is away from us) and just past that you can see what to me appears to be grey hair jutting past the front of the apparel.
  15. Let's track this back to talking about departed celebrities and not forum users or each other.
  16. I'm rusty on this, but... $365k over 6 years with a 4.5% interest rate each year, minus $2500 each year, leaves you with a balance of 417K...if I carried the one correctly. 😛 4.5% interest in the first year would be $16,425 on $365k (and about 6.6 times the amount paid towards the loan). *cue someone to correct me on my maths failings...*
  17. A lot of students actually take on more debt that they're likely to need for the cost of college*. And while the reasons vary, its the stuff outside of the actual college cost (mortgage, childcare, transportation, etc) that can really saddle you with more debt than your career will pay for. A lot of colleges are trying to teach financial literacy to students taking out loans or similar programs to try to let the new student know what it is they're setting themselves up for when they take multiple loans to finance their education and/or their lifestyle. *although that said, sometimes people just pick expensive schools that the expense of going to that school isn't going to be covered by the cost of the career the education leads to as well.
  18. Fixed it for you.

  21. Not to my understanding, but I am not a lawyer. I believe the US courts have maintained that just because something is put on the internet does not mean it is put into the public domain and that instead it counts as publication for purposes of copyright unless the terms of use put the ownership into the hands of the public domain (like Wikipedia) or the platform owner (like Facebook or twitter or one of those social media platforms a few years ago that got into a kerfluffle over claiming ownership of anything said on their platform). I believe, IIRC, that the Terms and Services indicate that Obsidian doesn't claim the rights to everything published on their forums, so that would leave it back in the ownership of the person who posted it (or the person who otherwise created it) as I understand it (again, not a lawyer).
