EDIT: No, on second thoughts, I don't want dragged into another argument. Never mind.

One was a prestige class, though. Just because "Nightsister" might not be a class (though it certainly sounds like prestige class material to me, so I'd say that it should be a possible class, but something you'd have to earn in the game, rather than it being an option at character creation), doesn't mean you couln't be a Nightsister in the game. Especially when you remember that from an ingame standpoint, no-one knows what the heck a "class" is. You might be a Force Adept to the game's mechanics, but to the characters ingame, you're a Nightsister, and they would treat you as such (although I'd guess from the name that a Nightsister doesn't exactly go around advertising that fact).

I hope so. But I doubt it will be better than LEGO Knights of the Round Table. Also, I wonder if it will be actual LEGOs in a movie made the old fashioned stop-frame way, or if it will just be computer generated LEGO figures.

ARGH! I thought I was finished with this thread, I thought I had said my part, but then you had to go and say that. I'm sorry, but I can't resist this urge when it arises. de

forums just went all weird

What are you talking about? The forums have always looked like this. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. -
I'll go see it, but only because I don't have to pay for it. And I won't stay for all of it if it's crap, which unfortunately, I think it will be. A shame. Cuts are inevitable, but to cut so much good stuff and leave in what it seems will fall flat...A shame.

I believe so. I think it comes from the 19th century pseudo-scientists who were trying to classify the 'races' in order to show that whites were superior. If I'm right, then black people would probably see it as disparaging. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder, though. Whenever you see US police dramas, they say things like "I have a caucasian male heading south on 23rd Street!", but you never hear the counterpart "I have a negro male heading south on 23rd street!" Assuming that real police officers actually say the first statement, do they use the second, or something more PC instead?

You notice how, underneath the number of posts a person has made, there's sometimes a little field that tells you where a person is from? I would suggest that before jumping to wild conclusions about where people are from. I could understand if it wasn't there, but jeez, reading isn't so hard.

Because the politicians who are elected state clearly that they will collect taxes to pay for government services. If they also introduce taxes they did not promise, the voters can fire them at the next election if they want. Again, if you're not happy to pay taxes, you have to work to get a low tax government elected. Democratically elected governments are basically legitimate and can make laws within the bounds of the constitution. Without that, nations can't really hold together. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But where should the bounds of the constitution be? One might say that calling taxes robbery is extremely short-sighted. On the other hand, one might say that calling them anything else is nothing more than tyranny by majority. Just because the Majority (or in most democracies, the plurality) thinks that politicians who are elected should take x amount of money off of everybody, doesn't mean that it isn't wrong to take that money off of the people who didn't want the money to be taken away from them. Most everyone accepts that no matter how "legitimate" or "democratically elected" a government is, a majority shouldn't be able to take the lives of the minority. Why should it be able to take the property of the minority?

I also happens to be a Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Should Revan Have An "Offical" Gender?

Vader: Obi-wan never told you what happened to your father. Luke: He told me enough! He told me you killed him! Vader: No, Luke...he ran off and left me! Luke: That's not true! That's impossible! Vader: He never payed child support either. Luke: NOOOOOOOOOOOO! -
It's not without permission. It's by a legitimate and democratically elected government. If you don't agree, you can vote for a party which wants to cut taxes, or stand for election yourself. It's called the social contract. The government provides services that people want, and people pay for it with taxes. European countries have higher taxes than the US because we have a different contract with out states, and expect more services. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How does a government being "legitimate" and "democratically elected" give it permission to take the property of people who don't want to give it up?
-
Well, is it really so different? If your property is being taken from you without permission accompanied by a threat, does it make a difference whether the entity which is taking it is some guy on the street or people in government?

The other half speaks Ned, which is a language related to English, though lacking in any grammar, conventional written form, or words greater than two syllables in length. An example: Statement: Hello, where is the nearest Bus Stop? Translation: Auright bawbag, wur cna fin'i bous stoap, ya dobber?

About half of Glaswegians speak English.

I never said you were. I meant it simply as sticking together and helping each other out, not as some indication of revolutionary spirit in the Danish people.

If you would gladly give your money to save another human being's life (and I'm sure most danes feel the same way you do), then why do you need to tax people for it? If you would give your money up on a voluntary basis, does it need to be taken from you by force? With a social ethic that encourages comradeship and helping others out, couldn't you encourage those values yourselves, without the government stepping in?

Hi, my name's Reveilled, and I'm a Stick Figure Drawer... -
If it's every single line, then there's no solution or quick fix. If it only happens after you've played for a few hours, the solution is to exit the game completely, restart it, and load the last save once every few hours.

What is your favorite alien language?

Where the Endgame REALLY went wrong
Reveilled replied to Drakonnen's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think it would have been a far better cliffhanger for it to end on Dantooine. Traya knocks you out (and apparently kills you) and then buries you in the temple. After all, the final meeting on Dantooine really feels like a climax, and at least you understand what just happened, as opposed to on malachor, which is a true WTF moment. Leaves the Sith Lords to be destroyed in the third game. -
I'm a libertarian. Meaning, I believe the government's job is to protect its citizens from each other and from outside forces. A Libertarian government would only provide emergency services (police, fire, etc.), a military, and (probably) maintainance of roads. Laws would be put in place only to protect people from others, not from themselves. People would be personally responible for how they use their bodies, meaning that they would be free to take drugs, not wear helmets or seatbelts, and so on. It's your life.
