  1. I had great fun multi-classing the Shifter with various melee classes, so much so that I'll probably play one in the final game if they stay that fun. I also tried a Fury and I like the concept but all the cool spells take forever to cast.
  2. Fighter really seems like a multi-classing class in the current beta, there isn't much of a point in single classing them. It kind reminds me of Icewind Dale 2 where taking a couple of levels in Fighter was almost always a good idea but you rarely went for a pure Fighter.
  3. I've had a lot of fun with a Shifter Druid muli-classed with a Rogue, he outdamaged the rest of the party by a crazy margin. I'm guessing that the shifted forms attacks probably benefit from the single handed weapon bug so that probably explains part of it but going cat form flurry + sneak attack was pretty hilarious. I've also had great result with a sharpshooter ranger using dual scepters at close range. Boring to play and looks pretty bad because of the mediocre scepter animations but great "set it and forget it" damage.
  4. Yeah, I've noted that as well. Multi-classing monk, rogue or warrior with something else always opens the door to some interesting synergies but multi-classing two "pure" casters together seems to just expand your spellbook without giving much of anything else.
  5. Yeah I'd love that as well, it doesn't have to be complicated or even very deep. Throw random parties of mobs at you, with XP and item rewards at each "wave" you clear. Make it separate from the main game of course as to not make it exploitable to powerlevel and it would be a nice side dish. That being said, I feel that Obsidian isn't really interested in putting anything too combat focused in the Pillars of Eternity franchise. It's a shame, I think, roleplaying is great but sometimes you just want to take a break and try a few builds to knock a few heads.
  6. Honestly it's pretty hard to gauge difficulty right now with the one handed weapons over-performing. Every time I make a melee damage dealer specialized in one handed weapons, he just ends up out-damaging everyone else by a huge margin.
  7. I agree on the faster weapon recovery, seeing a two-handed fighter stare at his enemy for half a year between attacks looks ridiculous and feels weak. I also think that some of the casting times (chanter summons are a good example) are way too long. If a spell is going to take that long to cast then it should be powerful enough to turn the tide in battle and that's absolutely not the case right now. Give me either faster spells or keep them slow but give them more impact.
  8. Actually, I've made a dual pistol Rogue and he fire both shots before reloading at the start of the fight but then switches to firing one pistol, reloading it, then firing one pistol again.
  9. Also,as this is a maritime/pirate-themed sequel, we need a Parrot pet.
