What are you playing now...
Oh, and I guess I'm playing DOA 4 too. I'm still not getting that forward+y is the middle counter for kicks and not backward+y. It's kind of sad that that's the only real way they've improved the tactical side of things since DOA 2. I mean, sure, better ground game and a much more flexible combo system are big plusses, but I hope Tecmo does another Ninja Gaiden and totally rejuvenates the stale fighting genre. Extreme 2 is not the way I want the series to go. Sorry Tecmo, but when my interest is concerned fifth school costume for Kasumi loses to better gameplay.

Is it the beard and the hair or the zombehness? Because if it's the former, I'll be hitting a barber soon.

But I can get it to run ugly/moderately fast on an older rig, right?

I feel for Lorfean's girfriend's musical taste.

Yeah, I've lost count on how much moaning I've seen over e.g the framerate of FEAR. That was supposed to run only adequately on the tech then, the devs pretty much built the game with future comps in mind. It was like the whole internet was bitching over bad performance when FEAR got released, yet everyone was trying to play it on the highest possible resolution, etc.

Agh, mine processor is only 1.8 GHz. Well, a gig of RAM should circumvent that lack quite efficiently. Hope my 6600 can manage the game on medium though.

Pics of your games: Reloaded
Yeah, that's DK 2 alright. An alright game, yet a bit too hectic for a DK 1 lover.

Jim, no matter my stances against some of the members on these fora, I think that was very childish.

I feel your pain. Guess who used to like several works of fiction which later became popular in the internets? Like Robin Hobb's Assassin. Gaaaahhh

Actually, amidst all the RTR migrations(like Spaniards in Anatolia or Armenians in Syracusa), I've been playing Ninja Gaiden on my pals Xbox 360. I must say, it's loads of fun. One of the best controls schemes ever made(Only Battlezone 1 and Rune come even close in functionality), totally awesome combat that while challengingly realistic in damage levels combat feedback, is way over the top in effects and moves. I mean that Cremator combo with Vigoorian Flail(can you say 100 hits?), or Izuna drop or Guillotine throw to Wind Run to Ki-slash while in the air. Hell yes, it's challenging, took me hours to master some of the tactical intricaties. Like how to effetively kill those damned monster skeletons who shoot cruise missiles with their bows( ). Just killed Alma for the first time(took only three times) and I still have yet to use a Talisman! So far I'm liking it very much.

The average age here.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> :"> I have a bad habit of deciding to totally change emphasis in the middle of a text, might be a bit confusing. I rarely proofread, so stuff gets kinda convoluted.

Surre, there's folks who are older than 30 in the K2-fora. I remember confronting one over her serious participation on the "your fav class/weapon/chore/whatever"-threads and she didn't see anything odd or bad in it. So, I believe her and leave the issue. Heck, what do I know? I haven't been interested in SW since the remastered release on video in the nineties.

Okay, I did vote 15-16, but since C&C and WOT have grumpy old guys and K2-pits have scary pre-teens, the average is going to be around 20, 23 probably. Most of the fora denizen is composed of teen SW geeks and folks whose first platform was probably Xbox and pap's PC, while the really active people seem to be quite a bit older. I think it's frankly quite daft to think that's most forum members are in their twenties. We have a wide range of ages here, some would say wider than usual, since SW-mania knows no age bounds. Yes, not everyone is an SW-geek(thankfully), but over half of the members did register thanks to Project Delaware. And those folks either write crazily immature, or are what the society calls 'kids'.

I don't know, I just browsed throught the site and thought that screenshot looked cool. I guess it's one of their world themes.

No, that's from Guild Wars. I adore the look, yet have no interest for the game.

Dungeon Siege2 storyline
For the record, DS 2 demo probably wouldn't convince Vol. Still, you're just buying into his trolling, BW. I'd just stop.

Quantic Dream officially announces Heavy Rain
Probably the only video that awed me in E3. Yes, the lip was horrible, yes the eyes were creepy, but overall it was possible one of the best iterations of emotion portrayed through game engine. When the actor pointed the gun to the screen, teh illusion came off and I realised I was watching mocap, but for a fleeting while there...it really amazed me.
