As a citizen of the EU who can't be ****d to get a modded xbox, i have to say i agree with KOTOR II as the most recent game i desperately wanted to play. All time most anticipated game for me was PS:T, i can't even remember how i knew about it pre-release but i just read about the premise behind it and knew i would love it. And guess what

Playing it myself at the moment(upto the dead nations so far) and it is as absolutely sublime as it was the first, second, third and fourth time through and every time after that. Don't be afraid, go get your copy out again and play through at least once more for old times sake. Can't you hear its siren-like voice calling to you begging you to experience quite possibly the greatest storyline in a computer game ever. :D

I think that, and please bear with me here, this is just an opinion, that the ones who make the tests know how easy it is for a normal person to get bored. All economic systems are absurdly flawed, capitalism for example favours those already rich over the poor making it easier for a millionaire to bacome a billionaire than it is for a poor man to become a millionaire, so any argument over which system works best is inherently flawed. Humanity corrupts all ideals when put into practice, just look at communism, one of the most idealistic and humane systems in theory and yet put into practice becomes one of the most horrific examples of the corruption of power. The only economic systems that work are those which rely on mixing the various economic systems. Also i think you'll find most people have "bad luck" and can't get ahead in capitalism and the minority are lucky and their hard work pays off.

No, due to a great deal of luck he was not executed although he was due to be.....he actually died in the US (after jefferson invited him) as a bit of an outcast after the response to his last work, age of reason. The reason he survived the french revolution was because he was ill when he was sentenced to be executed and the prison governor had allowed him to have his cell door open to let in fresh air and when someone came round to chalk up a cross on his door(which symbolised he was due to be executed) they had to put it on the inside and so paine shut the door and when the time came for the days executions no one noticed his cross. :D

More on topic than my last post, i'd nominate Thomas Paine but its debatable if he can be classed as an American even though he was one of the main instigators of the war of independence(was one of the first people to propose independence) and was also Washington's secretary of Foreign Affairs after independence. If you don't know about him go read his work, either common sense, rights of man or age of reason. :D

I felt most involved with Malak and his storyline as were it not for his love(before anyone jumps in homophobically i was referring to platonic love, i.e. that between best friends) for Revan he never would have fallen to the dark side as is mentioned in the story in dialogues and in the flashback to when they find the dantooine starmap. So really the most upsetting story is how Revan is responsible for the corruption of his best friend. Of characters that you can use in your team I found HK-47 to have the deepest personality in KOTOR, carth i found annoying, bastilla was just far too arrogant and juhani and mission whined too much.....zaalbar was pretty good as were canderous and jolee especially when you were rude to jolee, t3 was ok for an almost silent little robot although he does butt in occasionally in a quite amusing way, haven't got TSL yet as am in PAL territories and have to wait another 14-15 days.

Ooooh 15 more days, or 14 if you are getting it a day early like me.......why oh why can't they release internationally at the same time ok there is a difference between ntsc and pal but that wouldn't take long to change so why don't they release an international copy a lot sooner. Ok they may also translate it for various countries but given that french kids on holiday seem to buy loads of games in my local store in the UK i don't think that language is a major problem for sale of games plus whats the point of letting american's speak our language if we can't get any benefit out of it like games being released in the UK and australia(and other ex-colonies who still speak english) at the same time as the US. The only flaw in this I see is that someone who gets scripts filmed or books published can make a lot more money on his own than working as a writer for Bio. On a related but slightly different topic i used to be very, very good at mathematics but after years of doing nothing to keep those skills in good condition due to family commitments i have discovered a talent for writing and while i had originally planned to go and study maths and computing in order to get into the programming area of games design i no longer think that is a viable option. So i was wondering if anyone knew how to get started as a writer for games, i can also do basic level design if that would help?
