  1. Well, no, I had this issue in the first cave, I charmed the big bear when the small one was around and It lasted less than 2 seconds. I tried again after the quick save and I had the same behavior. By the way, I disliked a bit the Only Combat restriction for everything that could be cool, but if the charm (will) work like that (ending when the charmed creature is the last one), it sucks.
  2. Well, well, this is the most stupid topic I have seem in a few years. So, you backed PoE but you are a power gamer? do you want a "Nuke"? (where is this word from? WoW?). These companions are not good builds because they are just common people. If they will accomplish something big, is because of you. They are not leaders of a country of a militia. They are not High Wizards, just average Joes. Are you in real life the smartest man? Are you the weakest man because you "don't need to be strong"? Do you have the best stats nature could offer to do your job? These companions were not MADE by the gods to help you. They will not complete you or complete a party in the best way possible, maybe not even in a good way. They are guys and girls who choose to be by your side. Mechanically talking, this is made due to factors: First, You should be stronger than your partners. Because it is not cool for players to say "damns, I suck, my companions could soloing the game and I cant", because of the story (someone with high stats could be a leader, not following you). Second, if everyone has good builds and high stats where they need high stats, the complete thing make no sense. I mean, if every Mage has 20 int, is like "all spells are casted with maxed AoE and maxed duration" and remove Int stat. Same for everything in the game. Finally, they did an option for power gamers: Go to the tavern and do your own builds.
  3. First, congratulations for the great game you have delivered. I am enjoying it a lot and can't stop playing. Second, I am playing a druid with cat affinity and I have found 2 bugs that are annoying. 1. The charm Beast spell is not working properly. Its durations says 9.6sec (8sec base). It is charming for about 2 seconds, maybe less. That make it useless and It should be a signature spell of a druid. How to replicate the bug: Just use the spell in any animal. 2. This is a graphic bug. When I shapechange, sometimes (like 1 in 3) it shows the human form AND animal form, making it a mess. It happens randomly, often when I use Flurry attack. How to replicate the bug: This one is tricky. I have tried myself to replicate it and dont get it. Even loading again the file and doing the same things it does not happen. This is the print screen: http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/34115347319209648/31AA92461F67BBBCD502AD92BCCBBC85DAFCFD79/ Thank you for everything and good luck fixing these issues. I really like the druid and this can discourage people who wants to play it (not me for sure). oh, the dxdiag upload have failed twice, so I will paste the first block: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 3/28/2015, 07:50:10 Machine name: GERARDO-PC Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850) Language: Spanish (Regional Setting: Spanish) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 4. Damn...game cant be fun if you have to pause this much I agree. Can't even see one spell animation complete without several pauses. From the side it looks like the guy's playing a game that severly stutters, lol. This should have been a turn based game...sigh. I guess if I ever try it out it'll be on the easiest mode cuz I want the game to be closer to IE games, meaning - much less pausing. Really? I always paused in combat like every 2 seconds or less in IE games. I like to control everything my characters do. No AI. Just obey.
  5. What about send a no-playable version of the game. It could be then activated via a patch, which could be downloaded (automatic if you are on-line or just saved in a file to be transported) and installed. That patch would have the activation AND the update for v1.0. It is hard because people can just play around it, but it could be need some priority data.
  6. This is the first update I really dislike. I dont know why people who backed PE is not worried right now. Probably we all have our hopes and trust in the Obsidian Team. I like them. They have show us good stuff in these months, but today... well, I am seeing too much combat around here. Cipher, Rogue (assassin) and Ranger abilities known are all about combat. Some of us could say this is because they are not talking yet about non-combat abilities, but 10 for rogue and 10 for ranger let us too small space. 7 for Cipher and it is called a "hitter" too. Even when D&D rules were too complexes and useless sometimes (I played pen and paper role), there were 2 important design aspects about D&D that helped in its success: 1. Not every class must be good in combat. You could help your team to battle by healing, protecting or so, but in a 1v1 fight you were lost. Today players would call that a "support" role. 2. Non-combat abilities make the "role" part far more interesting. In there, those "weak" characters shined. Which character will be more "role" oriented? Probably not Barbarian, Fighter, Monk or Paladin. So Chanter, priest, wizard and druid are our last hopes in this combat world. Good luck for them, they will need it.
  7. I like SR, but is true the lack of solid content. It seems a game made for modders, not for players. I'm serious when I say I buy a game to play it, not to make it. Not even to patch it with new stuff or something. The game must be complete. I never modified my Baldurs Gate II and my first play was 150+hours without find a lot of secret stuff or some find quests. A friend of mine is playing it now and he has more than 250 hours and has just started TOB. I was hoping a 100+ hours game (I slow for the games, so probably that could be 60+ hours for some people), and to see some of your comments make me sad, because I realize is possible PE could be shorter.
  8. So why spoil that by injecting a computer where it isn't needed? Why did you play BG when you could just go to search for a pen and paper group and play with them? Well, probably people cant travel long distance, want to be in home early, love his house, dont like human touch or anything. All of those are valid to coop PoE too. Personally, my old D&D partners are outside now and my city is so populated that I waste 2 or 3 hours reaching downtown. I prefer stay in home, but I liked the P&P role experience , that's why I would be happy with a BGII-like MP. It seems not too complicate to make it (I remark "seems"), and it was great back then. In the end, nobody wants multiplayer if that means any single detriment in the Single Player mode and overall quality of the game... In the same way, I would cut Mods to have more testing or content.
