Lego Star Wars II
How did you like the Hoth level Lou? Dragging those bombs around was a pain in the ass. But doing laps around the legs of an AT-AT with your tow cable was pretty fun.

The Smiley Top Eight!
I'd like to add #44 to first place in my list please.

What are you playing now?
I've been playing NHL '07 for about four hours straight now. The skill stick on the 360 controls is still taking some time to get used to. But my created defenceman has knocked out Ed Jovanovski and Dion Phaneuf!

I just got in from training camp. It was teh awesomeness!! Sykora played center between Hemsky and Torres, and although after the first skating drill we were like 'Uh-oh, somebody is pretty rusty', but by the end of the session he was arguably the best player on the ice.

Peca will make a huge impact on your team defensively, Mkreku. But then again, Raycroft + Hal Gill= trouble.

I'd still say Raycroft is an improvement over Eddie the aging Eagle. Bostons' goaltending wasn't its only problem last season, although from what I remember Raycroft did stink the joint up. Whattabout that other Euro goalie on the team? Wasn't he hot **** for a while last season? As for Kipper, I'll admit that I'm pretty envious of Calgary and their netminder. He is pretty much the best in the game right now. Of course that don't mean **** if your team doesn't score goals in front of him. It actually made news today that Iggy dropped fifteen pounds this offseason by doing Yoga. Hopefully that didn't relax him too much, because I kind of like watching the guy dropping the gloves every once in a while.

You know it's getting close to the start of the season when Delta Truth comes back singing the gospel according to Mikka Kipprusoff. And DVO goes to the Blues? I think that's just peachy. There should be just about enough ex-Oilers on that squad to dress two lines. I remember Dvorak going end to end when he first came over to the Copper and Blue and scoring a beautiful unassisted goal. Too bad the guy has no luck whatsoever. Hopefully he can be the 20-20 guy the Blues so desperately need right now. And tomorrow morning is the start of training camp here in town. I'm kind of excited. I want to wear my old school Canucks jersey just to be a ****, but I'm too much of an Oiler fanboi to dare to do so. I'll leave the thread tonight with me least favorite Keith Primeau moment. It's May 4th, 2000. Pittsburgh and Philly are squaring off in the first or second round of the playoffs. This game goes to its fifth overtime period, and I'm getting pretty antsy. Primeau pots the game winner on a nice, albeit lucky wrist shot that fools Ron Tugnutt. The only part that sucks was that I was cheering for the Pens.

NHL 06
Well, I had to piss away the deposit I put on NHL 07 from EB games. Future shop had maybe ten copies left over when I went there tonight, and EB had a sign on the front door saying 'NHL 07 is NOT in stock yet'. Of course now my stoner senses tell me first thing tomorrow morning I'll be getting a call from EB saying my game is in. And my migrane won't let me focus on playing the game tonight anyway. I'll guess my first review will have to come tomorrow.

Movies You Have Seen Lately
I caught a Canadian made ( and gov't financed!) movie featuring David Boreanaz um...the guy from Angel in it. It was called These Girls. He played a married, pot selling father who nails his babysitter and then gets blackmailed into diddling her friends. Rough life, not so bad show. It wouldn't say run out and rent it, but if it's on a movie network check it out.

NHL 06
Yeah, but now I'm a few days behind in the learning curve in this game. This means I'll probably get pwned when I take a stab at playing it online.

Once More With Feeling was suprisingly good, whunnit?

NHL
Can you feel it? It's close. Like less than a month away close. Today was pretty busy from an NHL standpoint. You had Bobby Clarke responding to the backlash of doubling the Canucks' Ryan Keslers' salary with an offer sheet. Then rumours shifted to Keith Primeau announcing his retirement tomorrow. After that there was TSN video of Rob Schremp from the Oilers' rookie camp with an astounding attempt at puckhandling and manipulation. And to top it off I see that Chicago resigned one of my favorite players, Tuomo Ruutu. I just pray he can stay healthy this season.

Is Mark Bell part of your team Hurley? EB Games still hasn't received their shipment with this game yet. I'm getting pretty impatient.

I had the pleasure of watching 12 Monkeys again today. Still a great show.

What are you playing now?
I'm currently in the detention block trying to save Princess Leia in Lego Star Wars II. You can actually pilot vehicles this time around. Sweet.

So Alan, are there are preseason games in your immediate future? I've heard grumblings that ticket prices are the same as for the regular season. That's the downside of a Stanley Cup Final run, I guess.
