  1. ^ Go with a mage...
  2. Brahms - 8 Piano Pieces, Opus. 76
  3. You were talking about 'gameplay' and so was Lord Miltiades, to whom you were replying. Why the condescending lecturing about my reading abilities when you can't even remember what you wrote yourself ? <_< That main offence of course lies in the fact the original Jedi Knight wasn't even mentioned...
  4. The original JK is amongst one of the greastest games i ever played, back when Lucas Arts was a great company, you are bat **** insane to compare some crappy game made after a crappy movie licence against one of the classics of first person shooters.
  5. America is nice, but if you want freedom there are better places to look for...
  6. That's called growing up. Yes, he's now within the listening realm of 13 year olds...
  7. So ? Doesn't necessarely mean he didn't infact suck in those films...
  8. Is this why he is the author of some of the most god aweful movies ever made ?
  9. Frankly i'm very happy that they are producing something new rather then a sequel, there are already enought sequels as it is...
  10. It was the same with the original, was KOTOR 1 a rush job as well ?
  11. Yeah, but the system it's the closest any game as ever gotten to it, isn't it ? I thought the Light Saber combat was one of the only things they actually got even remotely right. I'm still waiting for the real Jedi Knight 2 however...
  12. Deus Ex was a PC Game, thus, it doesn't really exist.
  13. All i would like to have is free look to be implemented into the game, that was one of the most glaring short comings the original had in order to accomodate to the crap box. Other then that the interface and combat system was fine as it was/is...
  14. I think you are referring to the new Jed Knights. The original game was brilliant, and was made internally by Lucas Art itself (during their golden era), so saying that it was a 'ripp off' of the original movies is kinda rendundant. The original Jedi Knight is propably the closest a game has ever gotten to 'capture' the feel of the original movies, for whatever that's worth to anybody...
  15. Touche' :D If it was all a matter of opinion, somewhere down the line i'd have to beleive Breatney Spears and Limp Bizkit to be equal to good old J.S. Bach...
  16. Yeah, but who do you blame for the bad, and who do you credit for the good ?!?
  17. I'm sorry, i meant progressive*rock*, *smacks himself in the head...
  18. What about all the great things about human nature and our great achievements throught history ?!? Who do you credit for that ?!?
  19. How do you figure fiction to be realistic ?!? No they don't, none of those things are explained, they just give arbitrary answers which you are supposed to swallow with no reason nor logic. I'm all for considering a form of theism or at the very least embrace the notion there might be something more out there, natural or eitherwise (which is actually more plausible then atheism to be frank), however, i don't understand why does it have to be religion, is it just because other people like to beleive in it ?!?
  20. 70's progressive metal is only marginally better, thought i like some King Crimson material (albeit most of it was after their 70's output...)
  21. I've been out of the metal scene for too long to be able to answer that. Most metal bands no longer impress me this days, i guess Opeth simply befalls the same problem, and my problem with Opeth it's not just their music making, but the blandness of the music itself. I think the correct term here is 'pretentious'. Opeth it's nothing but a group of 20 something years olds grasping for greatness but falling flat on their faces. Most progressive bands share the same problem. The most recent band which i thought was pretty interesting was some sort of death metal / jazz fusion hybrid with lots of symcompation and odd shifted rythms, but i can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
  22. Well, since you are the one listening to it, i'll leave you at that. However, as far as i remember, the term power metal was coined after the use of fast pulsing power chords which are supposed to draw energy and inspiration in light of their 'eroic' undertones, it has nothing to do with 'the power of metal'. Most power metal bands are fast paced, rythmically driven with an hint of fantasy romanticism in them. Manowar it's all about kicking ass and fight for metal in a Robert Howard inspired frenzy whilst riding a chopper down the free road. In both cases the term 'power' has very different connotations. Of course, if you say the definition shifted throught the years, then i assume both arguments are correct...
  23. Didn't the same thing happen to both Attacks of the Clones and The Fanthom Menace ?!? Reports from both movies hinted that they were going to rock the world. Both movies sucked miserably. Why do you assume this will be any different ?!?
