After 72 pages, I think we should honor the first music thread by giving it a rest and starting a newer, younger thread to take it's place. BTW: right now I'm listening to the Police Syncronicity, Dream Academy Rememberance Days, and a hodge podge of older stuff including Kris Kristoferson. Anyhow, see the massive first thread here: 1

I ended up using mIRC. It turned out I already had it on my computer. heh. It worked well enough. I look forward to getting into the IRC game.

I liked him. I was kind of using him as a foil. You know, he's kind of crazy private eye while Daniel Black is more of a scholar. I like that you've made him so paranoid.

Listen, really, do you expect us to do that sort of thing to you? ...And I don't know all your posts, but I don't remember you being particularly troublesome, so why worry? You're not going Troll on us, are you? We get together and discuss. *grin* That's how fora work. It's not like we're going to want to prevent actual discussion. If a bit more of the spam gets chopped or the maybe a thread or two gets pruned, so what? Most folks who spam know they're doing it. It's not rocket science. Most folks know, deep down, when they're going over the line. ...Or at least most folks suspect they're getting close to it. So, you come to the boards, agree, disagree, debate your friends. It's all good. Every now and then, a thread is closed or a person gets a warning. It's not so bad a price to pay for having a stable community. Of course, I think Authority is a bit unstable as he is, but I'm sure he'll be a great moderator.

Even if she came off that way, it only gives us an opportunity to discover the real Valerie. I thought the discussions were great. Without a GM, though, they weren't really going to get very far.

I suppose I might be convinced to withhold my iron fist. Actually, these fora are quiet. If there are announcements, then we can probably expect increased traffic. Still, it's not like the senior moderators, Guildmaster, Hydrogen, and Fionavar, have demonstrated a desire or inclination to stomp on folks indiscriminantly. Items clearly stated as off limits for the boards are fair game. You should expect, however, that the moderators are members of the community, just as they've been since they joined. We want to discuss, debate, and argue the issues as much as anyone else. We're not going to close down every interesting topic on a whim. We must use our discretion, and I hope that our discretion proves wise. You want a great place to discuss Video games, and so do we.

I was in the game, which was great. ...But they modded me today and I was getting personal messages on this board. So, I dropped out of the game to come here. It looks intriguing, but a bit slow right now. This was just a "get to know you" session anyhow.

Did we get a firm committment from the European crowd for getting a game set up there. I just hate to see anyone forced to miss the start of the campaign. Can we rotate or something? What did the European players decide?

Not unless you use resources. Of course, if I had resources, I'd use them for really cool stuff. Why equip yourself with weapons when you can access the UNLV lab and the professor who runs it? :D

I'm still going to have to wait and see what the hell is going on before I make a decision. Whatever happened in previous threads, it's clear that folks aren't lying so much as taking a hardened, biased position. If I thought it would work, I'd ask you guys to switch sides so I could see the arguments from the other end. I don't look forward to wading through all the information when these systems finally hit the shelves.

I haven't been following the diplomacy games, I'm afraid. Diplomacy is usually my preferred method of choice, if only I remember to use it first. Does this mean we're done talking about the WoD game in this thread?

I say you use a bit of diplomacy.

For the time being, I'm going to make a dedicated effort to play. Right now, I've got plenty of time. That's why I've been so active on the message board for the past few months. That will change soon enough, but if we can get into a routine, I'm going to make it. If it turns out that I cannot make the schedule that fits most other folks, I'll step aside and ask only that I can observe the game. I think it's a great idea and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out, even if I can't play. Of course, I'd like to play.
