10th Planet
Good God, Hilde! Do you think it's all true? hahahaha Seriously, though, how can we deal with information from outside our galaxy when we're still trying to figure out what we've got in our own back yard. I suspect we'll go to planet X someday and find Jimmy Hoffa.

Declaration of Revocation
That's what you think! ...But what about Cleese and his warm beer? huh? If he can't convince Americans to drink warm beer, then what use is this thread? Ah, see what I mean?
-
Declaration of Revocation
I can see it now, Moderator America... World Police. What would Cleese say?

10th Planet
You're not going to be shut down for a couple of posts off the beaten path. ...But, yeah, get back to the topic. Roman named planets, was it?

Declaration of Revocation
Can someone tell me what any of this has to do with Cleese? At least the American baiting is related to the treatise, although it seems he meant the work to be humorous rather than biting. This whole business now is related to nothing. Let's try to keep it on track.

Boy, you'd better get out of the sun or put on some 2,000,000,000 sun block.

Declaration of Revocation
According to Cleese, you're not supposed to have that anyway. Give it here, now!

Declaration of Revocation
I thought Cleese's treatise was rather funny. Some of it was funny because it mirrors life. Some of it was funny because it was so untrue. Mostly, though, I couldn't take it serious enough to be offended by it. Now, of course, we get into the "Corporate America" phase. Too bad. That's another issue entirely, although I suppose we can have a little thread mutation as long as we don't spit venom at each other and start sharpening our knives. Ahh, thread mutation. We go from humor to rancor in no time.

Romans had family gods and a whole system that was separate from the Greeks. Still, I prefer the Greek gods also. With the Greek influence, the Roman gods become more anthropomorphic. Later, the Romans had influences from all over the empire as well as a tendency to deify Emperors.

Vampire Game
I'll translate for you, Servant: Play the damned game. If there are too many people, I'll sit and watch the fun. Every now and then, I'll even throw out a remarkably witty quip or two.

Vampire Game
If that's not an invitation to participate, I don't know what is.

Vampire Game
I'll probably just use my picture. I intentionally created Daniel black to be like me only with vastly superior skills and attributes. I just figured it would be easier to play him that way. I'll use the same old picture I've posted here before to make it easier.

What games are using the Eberron Setting?
This is exactly how I feel. This is also one of the reasons I hate FR.

What music are you listening to right now?
U2's B Sides. U2 Joshua Tree. Great stuff!

Please welcome our new moderators!
You know, I suggested Phosphor's name as moderator a long time ago. About 12 hours before he became moderator, as a matter of fact. I really do think he had the peculiar mindset to be a great moderator. For what it's worth, I think the same thing of Hydrogen. Fionavar has been a moderator on virtually every board I regularly visit over the past 4 or 5 years, so he must be doing something well. I just don't have the temperment of a mod, I'm afraid. Too much temper, most of the time. At any rate, this is a good little community. Quiet, I suppose, but friendly. I'm just surprised that this thread hasn't already been derailed and closed. :D

Hope for early August. The sooner the kids born, the sooner you can incorporate him into our Vampire game!

Vampire Game
Aleksandr was cool. Intriguing even. After Angelo, who looks like he has deep pockets, Aleksandr intrigues Daniel Black the most. Daniel is somewhat of a social creature, so he tended to enjoy everyone's company. Not much for the new Prince, but that's largely because he doesn't trust the gangrel farther than he can throw him.

For what's it's worth, I miss phosphor also. I always thought he was a great moderator, even before he was one.

Think of Fionavar as the Prince and I'm his sheriff. If you insult Fionavar, I'll have to turn all enforcer on you! :D By the Way, meta, you're right, it should have been your. Type faster than I think sometimes, I do!

Show me the South Park you!

Kenyan offers Clintons a Dowry...
I don't think Chelsea should get the job just because she's the President's daughter. On the other hand, being the President's daughter is certainly something that makes her valuable to a company or institution. She might be able to buy the gentleman in question several times over for all we know.

Oh Good Lord...
I think it is necessary for folks in a forum to know who closed the thread. First of all, if you don't let folks know you closed the thread, you get a ton of private messages asking who closed the thread. Second of all, if you close a thread for spam, then folks should know. I'm not nearly worried as much about spam as I am about personal attacks and flaming. Luckily, we've got a such a great bunch around here that flaming isn't really an issue. However, what is this thread anyhow? Servant, you doofus, you make a spam thread in which you claim Obsidian has confirmed a game that, indeed, they have not. Then, since it took a while for the mods to notice the thread, it goes on for 20+ pages. After it is closed, some poor, clueless fellow writes to you about it and you create a spam thread deriding the poor guy? :Eldar'sshakinghisheadwithabemusedsmileicon: I don't have a clever way of closing a thread, I TELL YOU! I'm merely going to close it.

Well, you can't win them all. I'm just glad to have something going for me! See, guys, being a moderator isn't all bad. :shades:

What games are using the Eberron Setting?
I don't usually like settings with easily accessible magic. On the other hand, a world so dominated by magic has its own novelty, I suppose. Could be interesting. I'll have to wait and see.

Welcome Fangirls
That's funny, because. of the three actors I mentioned, Galadriel, Kidman, and Bullock, two have blue eyes. In real life, I prefer brown haired, brown eyed women. Of course, beauty is beauty, whatever the eye color. Still, I wonder how real life preferences translate into how we view celebrities. After all, I find all sorts of women more attractive than Galadriel, but she is far more appealing to me.
