Well, Hilde, you sure look more intelligent than you come across online. :D ...And since we know Julian is, indeed, a man, we have to ask why he's the only chic to post a picture in this thread. I don't need a phone number. So far, the hottest chic is Hilde, and that should scare everyone. I'm just ribbing you, Hilde, you really are a hottie. I might have to stop stalking kumquat and turn my attention to you soon!

Nope, to accept a drink without buying the next round is clearly in poor form. However, they might have been poor and too embarrassed to admit it. They might not understand the rule. Next time, say something like, "Hey, I'll get this round if you get the next." Say it with a smile or even a grin. Try to let the youngsters know that buying a round of beer is an age old tradition. Finally, if they don't return the favor, just shrug, smile, and know that the Gods of Beer Consumption look down upon the bars of the earth and see everything. After all, you were a gentleman. For you, that is enough.

Oh Mary this London's a wonderful sight With people here workin' by day and by night They don't sow potatoes, nor barley, nor wheat But there's gangs of them diggin' for gold in the street At least when I asked them that's what I was told So I just took a hand at this diggin' for gold But for all that I found there I might as well be Where the Mountains of Mourne sweep on down to the sea. I believe that when writin' a wish you expressed As to how the fine ladies in London were dressed Well if you'll believe me, when asked to a ball They don't wear no top to their dresses at all Oh I've seen them meself and you could not in truth Say that if they were bound for a ball or a bath Don't be startin' them fashions, now Mary McCree Where the Mountains of Mourne sweep on down to the sea. There's beautiful girls here, oh never you mind With beautiful shapes nature never designed And lovely complexions all roses and cream But let me remark with regard to the same That if those red roses you venture to sip The colours might all come away on your lip So I'll wait for the wild rose that's waitin' for me In the place where the dark Mourne sweeps down to the sea.

There's nothing wrong with my stalking, dammit. I'm a damned good stalker.
-
Not you, Weiser. you scare me. ...But I like your art-work. I might stalk your artwork. Just paint a few more chics and a few less monsters and such.
-
Tom fools, don't incite the mods. It's pointless at any rate. I was looking forward to seeing pictures of folks so's I could stalk them. Instead, I have the incessant Judo non-sense. Get back to the damned topic already. I want to see a picture of someone.

The Morongo Reservation is close. There's also one of those huge screen theaters there. I saw the second Matrix movie there, and let me tell you, seeing every pore in Trinity's face really doesn't improve her looks.

I'm always happy to have coffee. I have no problems meeting folks from online, but I strongly suggest that minors not make arrangements to meet online buddies and that everyone, regardless of age, make sure that they meet folks in a safe, public place. That picture was not taken at Disneyland. It was taken last winter in the Living Desert located in Palm Desert. I went there with my wife and her Brother and his family. We had steaming hot cider cut with chivas regal.

Well, this is me in all my hideous glory. At least its my most recent picture. I wanted to post one with my niece (actually my wife's brother's daughter) but my wife said not only no, but hell no to any pictures of anyone but me. She doesn't even like me posting pictures of myself, but she has little control over that. Anyhow, like anyone on these message boards cares enough to want to do me harm anyhow.

You know, I'm part of the non-white 50%. It's quite misleading, though, since I look like a white guy. In fact, folks don't believe me when I cite my Mexican heritage. Hell, my grandmother was a Mexican citizen. So, while it's accurate to say that half the state is non-white, it's simply not true. :D Moreover, this is just another example of Nurbs acting in his usual assinine manner. I'm sure Nurbs is a great guy at heart, if he has one. It's just difficult to see him as anything more than a race-baiting agitator. His comment at the start of this thread only serves to underscore the point.

One of These Days -- Tim McGraw Used to chase that boy home from school We called him frekled-faced, red-headed fool He was different...he wasn't cool like me Sticks and stones didn't break any bones Bet we never left well enough alone And one day he ran away from home, you see And I passed him as he walked away And in his eyes I heard him say 'One of these days you're gonna love me You'll sit down by yourself and think About the times you pushed and shoved me And what good friends we might've been And then you're gonna sigh a little Maybe even cry a little but One of these days you're gonna love me' Patty Sue was a small town beauty I took one look at her and had to pull her to me Lord knows she should've seen right through me When I promised her the world But at 17, you only want one thing I left her standin' there with my high school ring Innocent tears in the pourin' rain As I walked away And I still see her in my dreams And to this day she's whispering 'One of these days you're gonna love me You'll sit down by yourself and think About the time you turned from me And what good friends we might've been And then you're gonna sigh a little Maybe even cry a little but One of these days you're gonna love me' Now everybody stands up The congregation sings It's a song of sweet forgiveness And as the chorus rings The wind blows clear my memory The pages start to turn Then suddenly I'm singin' The moment that I learn One of these days I'm gonna love me And feel the joy of sweet release One of these days, I'll rise above me And at last I'll find some peace Then I'm gonna smile a little Maybe even laugh a little but One of these days I'm gonna love me

Congratulations!!! You are a proud member of the Egyptian Pantheon. Were you alive thousands of years ago, you would have helped build the famed Egyptian Pyramids. Like the sophisticated Egyptians, you value learning and logic. Though moving within a ponderous bureaucracy and priesthood, the pantheon of Egypt runs the gamut from river gods to sky gods to builder gods. Your grasp of art, architecture and stately beauty creates civilizations worth defending and expanding. You'll enjoy cruising the Nile in reed barges admiring the magnificent works of your people. Loyal and inventive, Isis is an icon of dogged determination. Able to adapt to constantly changing situations, your Isis abilities hold in good stead as an innovative commander in the stress of battle. In addition, your fierce protectiveness of family and dependents gains you admiration and loyalty from your allies and subjects. Your tendency to give everyone the benefit of the doubt can sometimes blind you to real enemies; keep your eyes open. God Power: Sentinel. Protects a Town Center with four sentinels. It was a surprise that I ended up as Isis. I figured I'd have a Greek God rather than a Egyptian one. Anyhow, there are worse things than being a hot chic.

I'm quite the opposite. I'm buying the machine based on its specs, not on the games. I'll find games I like on either one.

Nice to see you back, Drabek. For my part, I'm not against reading obscure opinions regarding genres. Opine away, as long as it's not a long-winded, ambiguous, obscure, and hostile opinion. If that's the case, it will be a downer.

Hey, if you can listen to Pink Floyd, then I can listen to Perfect Circle. Right now I'm listening to Let's Dance by David Bowie. Great song. Put on your red shoes and dance the blues

Unfortunately, we only had a couple of hours and thus spent it shopping and eating lunch. However, I might get home soon enough to see it on Monday. If so, I'll give a short review of what I thought of it.

Passive -- Emotive Sorry, not Emotive, the band is Perfect Circle. The album is Emotive.

Well, if it's still in the theater, I might see it today.

Dude, I get up at 4:30 in the morning to drive to Los Angeles every weekday. I have to sleep sometime. Plus, last weekend, I helped my buddy with a house, my wife was gone to a conference, and my friend wanted to see a different movie. We did discuss seeing Serenity and I related the plot based on what I'd read in this thread. I don't tend to watch T.V. unless the wife is home, and then I watch what she wants to watch.
-
Well, you've convinced me, kumquat, I'm going to go see this one with a friend on Saturday.

A blast from the past. If I'm necroposting, I suppose I should post some old lyrics. Rhumboogie All Harlem's got a brand new rhythm And it's burning up the dance floors Because it's so hot. They took a little rhumba rhythm, And they added boogie-woogie, And-a look what they've got: Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woogie. It's Harlem's new creation With a Cuban syncopation - It's a killer. Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woogie. The native rhythm haunts you, It's barbaric and it taunts you - It's a killer. Just plant your both feet on each side, Let both your hips and shoulders glide, Then throw your body back and ride. There's nothing like... Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woogie. In Harlem or Havana You can kiss the old Savanna It's a killer. Oh, beat me daddy, eight-to-the-bar. Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woo-oogie. It's Harlem's new creation With a Cuban syncopation - It's a killer. Rhumboogie. Rhu-umboogie-woo-oogie. The native rhythm haunts you, It's barbaric and it taunts you - It's a killer. Just plant you toes and both feet on the side, Let both your hips and shoulders glide, Then throw your body back and ride. Think a little of The rhumba The boogie The woogie Then put them Both all together You have rhumboogie... Then all together sing rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woogie. Rhumboogie. In Harlem or Havana It'll kiss the old Savanna - It's a killer. It's a killer this rhumboogie. Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie. Rhumboogie-woogie-woogie-woogie-woogie. Do-do-do-do-diddleyada-do-diddleyada-do-do-dee. There's nothing like rhumboogie!
