I have an alt. Hell, I have two, but only one alt that posts. Rather than continue to derail the geeky/evil thread, I'll simply make a new thread. What do you think and why? If someone doesn't abuse his alternate account, why is it such a bad thing? If someone misbehaves, won't that become apparent very quickly? Why would you have an alternate account, for those of you who say yes? The fact is, alt accounts are a controversial subject on message boards.

Why?

I suppose, if I were a moderator, I'd ban myself. Of course, apparently, all of the moderators are my alt acccount as well. Really, the moderators have a pretty good idea of who has which alt. IPs rarely lie. On the other hand, my alt has been far less troublesome than me. If anyone were banned, it would be Eldar. The alt? He's a nice guy. Has not flamed a single person once on this or any board.

Pipe down! You're just one of my errant alts!

Lawman is also my alt. kumquat, he's all original!

Dump 'im. He ain't worth it.

As always, Enoch cuts through the fluff and gets to the point. There are only so many alternatives. If it's a deal breaker tha the helicopter is, on very rare occassions, destroyed the phalanx then the deal is broken. There's no getting around it without dramatically changing the game. I'd much rather have the streamlined combat that allows me to gather resources, build cities, and research techno. Adding another layer or two of combat because of the occassions when a knight destroys a chopter unit just doesn't make the game sound more fun.

Well, the geekiest evil thing I did was create an alt account. Of course, I have a very specific reason for having my alt account, but not one that anyone wants to hear. Suffice it to say, that second rule of alt accounthood is what killed me, Kor.

He's my alt. Everyone is my alt these days.

I always root for the American League. I wanted the Cards to win just because they're my dad's team and he's 78 and ailing. It would have been nice. ...But the old guy still enjoys a good baseball game, so he'll have fun watching the game anyhow.

There's no going back on the past, I suppose. That's okay, I can't think of any mean things to put in your TOMBS report anyhow, so I might as well keep the points.
-
hahaha Watch out, I haven't done a T.O.M.B.S. report on you, yet. :D come to think of it, I was going to create a new TOMBS thread. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hey, can I bring my CoH character to the fray. I'd love to try my scrapper against the whole bunch. I've played a stalker in CoV. The whole dynamic is different in CoV to be honest. I'm still wondering what I need to do.

Hell, RtCW is still my favorite FPS of this decade. ...And, surprisingly, for its multiplayer component.

hush, you and get back to the dungeon. Now you know of another geeky thing I did! hahaha

Ummm, it's a long story. Suffice it to say, life is better as one of the inmates.

I dunno, I was kind of wondering the same thing. Commissar was just willing to ask it aloud.

Okay, well I used to live in the inside room of a very large barracks compex in Korea. The folks on the end woudl freeze during the winter while the folks on the inside would roast. We would keep changing the thermostat and there were some tense moments when two folks would come in to change the thermostat at the same time. After a couple of weeks of literally coming in from the freezing cold only to have a blast of sweltering heat blow over me when I entered my room, I was starting to hate being home. One morning, when I got home from partying, I opened the door and a wave of heat poured over me. I walked to the thermostat and punched it. It flew off the wall. I picked it up and put it on top of the television set. It was the best nights sleep I'd had in months. It got downright chilly and I had to put a blanket over myself. The next morning, there was a group of folks there looking over the scene. Repairmen, the Korean fellow who cleaned the barracks for us, the guy in charge of the barracks. When I came out, they asked me if I knew what happened. I smiled and told them I didn't know anything, but I sure slept well the night before. They knew I did it, but they couldn't prove anything. ...And considering the amount of trouble I always found when I was that age, I don't think it would've mattered much if they did. As far as the dog killing thing goes, if the animals owner cannot control it, then it is a menace and there is no problem putting it down. I have killed both dogs and cats before, although I would probably have killed it at the time. I know I would not have been able to force myself to kill it in cold blood. I regret having killed anything. ...But, on the other hand, you really did do a service. Dogs can and sometimes do kill people. After all, it might have been a small child the dog had attacked in the first place instead of you.

hahaha. That was funny. I have done many evil things that were not geeky. I have done many geeky things that were not evil. I don't believe I have done anything that combines the two.

"if I had been like other men, I should not have neglected all my own concerns or patiently seen the neglect of them during all these years, and have been doing yours, coming to you individually like a father or elder brother, exhorting you to regard virtue; such conduct, I say, would be unlike human nature. If I had gained anything, or if my exhortations had been paid, there would have been some sense in my doing so; but now, as you will perceive, not even the impudence of my accusers dares to say that I have ever exacted or sought pay of any one; of that they have no witness. And I have a sufficient witness to the truth that I have not--my poverty."

Okay, Bokishi, the final verdict? Will it start hot and heavy and be fun throughout like HL2? Will it start slow but roar to the most awesome finish like Painkiller? Will it be fun throughout, but edging toward boring and irritating at the end like Doom3?

Dammit, I meant to say that I prefer being the hero. I'm not much for villainy. Still, I'm going to get the game when the retail version hits the shelves. Right now, however, I no longer have access to the beta.

I'm getting it, but I agree with you, Oerwinde. It's not as fun as Heroes. First of all, I'd rather be a villain than a hero. Second of all, I'd rather not be stuck with the villain music and graphics. Third of all, the villain costumes are just plain over the top. I like a more refined class of villain. Still, the classes are cool and I think I can enjoy the game. I plan on getting it and, since the subscription price is the same for one or both games, I'm sure I'll play from time to time.

Okay, Schmarth, I've always thought you were nothing but a stinking, no-good spammer. Now I'm sure! Nevertheless, that was damned funny spam. All you worthless spammers, take note of friend Schmarth and learn the ways of the true spam. Baley, your reign as king is falling all around you. The days of the future ring with one word, the thunderous sound of "Schmarth!" BTW: bring back the old avatar. It was better.
