Blaster-wielding Jedi
Forceoflight replied to Darth Maveroth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As far as I know Kotor 1, It's the same in different ways: At blasters your hit-chance and damage are affected, at melee weapons it is your defence and damage. Since your hit-chances are the measure, how far away you can get from your enemy, which affects his hit-chances, it is pretty much the same. -
I haven't played TSL yet (International and PC'er), but I would say (if Revan was LS male), he would have left Zaalbar out of his life-debt. Like at Kashyyk, where you meet the Czerka-Troop, that shot down a Wookie: Zaalbar wanted to attack them, he was very aggressiv. Revan (LS) could say, that he wanted to rule this, then Zaalbar answered him, that they killed the Wookie and they should be punished(sort of this way). Revan then could answer that he wanted to rule this and Zaalbar should respect his wish. So if Revan would have said:"You are no longer in any debt. My last wish is, that you live your life like you would like to live it." If Zaalbar would disagree, Revan just could have given him a order to stand at Kashyyk or somewhere else and protect Mission. I liked Zaalbar only after a good ending at Kashyyk, then he was kind and not this rude or closed. He answered with this sentence if you asked him about a planet:"I just know that it's not my home."(Sorry if it's not correct like in Kotor, but as said, I'm international.) After you helped him with Kashyyk, he promised to learn if the others would say something about a planet. Mission was nice. Not my favourite char, but I liked her. Actually, I liked every char.

A big Question about...
Forceoflight replied to Forceoflight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thanks (w00t) -
Hello all. Since Gamebanshee now has a list of some TSL-Items, I have a question about some High-Class-Items. In the following list I've put them in order, so here is my Question: Can you buy some of the following Items at a shop, find them in a special loot(like the Nihilus-Mask), find them at a special place or actually build them by yourself? And I know the random-loot-system, but the Nihilus-Mask is a special thing too. Lightsaber-Upgrades Lenses: Adegan-Lens Ossus-Duelling-Lens Emitters: Expert-Fencing-Emitter Energy-Cells: Ultimate-Diatium-Energy-Cell Pure Ylith-Power-Cell Enhanced-Energy-Cell IV Crystals: Barab-Ore Eralam Pontite Sigil Upari Solari Ultima-Pearl Stygium Kaiburr Ruusan Ankarres-Saphire Jedi-Robes Ossus-Keeper-Rope Matukai-Adept-Robe Qel-Dromas Robe Jalshey-Advision-Armor Headgear Matukai-Meditation-Band Circlet of Saresh Belts Jalshey-Mentor-Belt GNS-Strength-Enhancer CNS-Strength-Enhancer Tech-Specialist-Belt Gloves Jalshey-Meditation-Gloves Sith-Power-Gauntlets Implants Universal-D-Package Mental-D-Package PhysicalBoost-D-Package Skill-D-Package Yeah, I know, it's a very long list <_<

How bad does it suck??
Forceoflight replied to JediMasterRevan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh, a new X-Boxer wants to make us Int's and PC-ers sad . I'm so damn sad :D . I won't have to put a memory-card into a console to load any kind of patch. And if I patch, the patch will be integrated into my installation. My computer has a 7.1-Sound-System, which I'm updating to have much more of the cool EAX-Sound. My graphic-card kicks ass (GF6600GT) and can be upgraded if I have enough money. I have a "memory-card" of 10 GB, just for saves of the game, I could have 80, but that's not neccessary. There are nice guys, called Modders, who make impossible cool mods, which a PC can install. The nice guys from Obsidean are debugging the errors of the X-Box-Version, so that they won't be in my copy. I have a mouse-control, very nice and useful. I can cheat specific Items per console, if I've played the game enough without cheating. Sorry all US- and Canada-X-Boxers out there who don't make such posts and help us with facts and stats, but I'm kinda anoyed by such things. I don't mind to wait, but such things are just useless . -
New Knights v Old Knights
Forceoflight replied to Darth Cake's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Rakata lost the force, too. Should it be the same with the other species? Naa...It's just the thing of knowledge. 4000 years of war between sith and Jedi had to wipe the most knowledge of using the force out of history. Imagine what we in the real world could have, if we never had wars and put all our energy in science: First, a war kills people with knowledge(in StarWars Jedi-Masters and Sith-Lords), then much more people who can work will die or become soldiers. That's the degeneration that war causes. Everyone who knows battletech, knows what I mean: Comstar was the temple of knowledge, in the past of this sci-fi-universe, then all the wars came and they lost a lot of knowledge about medicine, machines, electrics, and of course: weapons. But that's enough of another sci-fi. What I wanted to say is, that some people who are killed, can't give their knowledge to the next generation. Here come the Rakata agein: Warlords, slavery...and what was in the end: primitives. Einstein once said, he wouldn't know, with what kind of weapons the humans would fight in the third world-war, but he knows, that the fourth world-war would be fought with sticks and stones. The force the new Jedis/Siths are using, are the stones and sticks, compared to the old force-masters. -
Geforce 6600GT or Geforce 6800GT?
Forceoflight replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Incorrect. It's the GF6800Ultra that has 2 power inputs. My GF6800GT just has the one. And I'd say go for the GF6800GT. I got mine a few weeks ago and haven't regretted it a second. Try Half-Life 2 at 1600x1200 with 4x Anti Aliasing and 8x Anistophic Filtering on...Smooth as silk. And KotOR doesn't look half bad at those setting either <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh thanks, I learned something new. I've just seen cards with two inputs. I don't think, that a 6800GT isn't as fast as a jet. But not everyone can afford over 300 Dollar or Euro, or some just don't want to. And what is it with those high-end-cards: They're not high-end in two months (thanks to a war bigger than sith vs jedi: ati vs nVidia). I remember the first graphic-card I bought, it was in the upper middle-class. Two weeks later it was much more cheaper...uargh . A Voodoo 3 I think. But hey, everyone who can afford it, feel free to do so . I just think, they get cheaper as fast as they compute, so why buy high-class, if you can get it cheaper in some weeks or months? Middle-class doesn't hurts your finances that much and you can invest your saved money into RAM or something in this way. -
Hooded Robes would be cool, in the PC-Version maybe there would be the possibility, because Computers can be much better than consoles(if the PC has compatible and good parts). But I don't hope to get them. I would be happy, if there is a function to make "present your weapon" with blasters. Since I won't have the game until feb, I don't know if there is this function now. I liked the waving sabers when you hit that button.
-
Wow (w00t) I wouldn't have thought, that you can create that powerfull Items by yourself...I thought you could only create middle-class Items. Err...could you give me the prerequisites for making this implant?
-
So that means, that the light has to form a real blade, like an kinetic. Because any kind of Laser-Beam (Light) would actually cross over and wouldn't be able to stop another Laser-Beam in movement. Actually it's true (by what I know) that a lightsaber is emitting enough energy to cut any kind of matter (if a lightsaber would be real). But a lightsaber (in games, movies, e.u.) only "cuts" what he touches. Now maybe we should accept, that Kotor is a game and the admins just didn't wanted to programm more so that the strength doesn't just determines, if you win a lightsaber-block by another jedi/sith.
-
And then there is the risk, to don't find the implants, so that you boosted your CON only for the health . Random-Loot-System... Or can you actually buy the ability-implant at a shop? Or did you get it by any quest or something? It would be nice, to actually know if you have any kind of safety for getting this Implant.

Geforce 6600GT or Geforce 6800GT?
Forceoflight replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The 6800GT has also 2(!) power-inputs! This thing sucks the electricity out of your PC. A 6600GT has just one and "only" needs a 350W. -
Hello all. Since my last topic about Implants brought me the Steps of Implants(CON 16...18...what I knew already at that time ), I have another question: What is the best Implant to boost all abilities(WIS,CHA,STR,DEX,INT), with 18 CON, and how many of you found it?

Force Wave. Think of the full stores in christmas-time: One wave and you'll have a free way.

Geforce 6600GT or Geforce 6800GT?
Forceoflight replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Funny :D . I bought a 6600GT just yesterday. I'm replaying Kotor 1 some times, till I'll get TSL. It's awesome! I played Kotor 1 often, with nearly the lowest graphic (I had an GF MX 440), then I put this nice card into my AGP-Slot and thought: "Hey, why not the highest settings just for a try?" It worked!!! The graphic is brilliant! A 6800GT will be a lot faster and is good for the newer Ego-Shooters(Doom 3, Half-Life 2), but costs a lot more of money. I would say, you should buy a 6600GT, it's very fast and costs less than the half of a 6800GT. -
Best lightsaber components and where to find them
Forceoflight replied to sharky's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I asked the same thing and didn't got any answer, except, that the definition of the "best part" changes by what you count on: Damage, Abilities, Specials(paralyse, etc.). -
Did anyone find out...

A question about Lightsaber-Components...
Forceoflight replied to Forceoflight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Somebody maybe has a guide to solve my question? -
Yeah, I know, but I thought there is a way to make his crazy program happy without being a real bad guy. You actually could tell him what he wants ((persuade/lie) I killed so much people, I don't know why I should notice people to kill, who are under my skills.).

Is there any possibility of gaining a lot of influence at HK-47 without killing somebody or getting dark-side-points?

Lightsaber componant locations...
Forceoflight replied to ZethstaBane's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, I have a question. I just read over this: If you haven't got a Lightsaber by any of this events, will you just get a part or a complete Lightsaber? -
Hey, that reminds me of the Ninja- and Shogun-Movies. Men train years and years and years (and so on) and in the end they are masters. Seems like Obsidean thought it would be more realistic if you have to make much useless stuff (killing all this creatures) a long time to become a "master". I didn't know, that X-Boxers can cheat without consequences. As I tried it once after playing the PC-version of Kotor 1 ten or more times without cheating, I couldn't solve the Tatooine-Quest about the sand-people the light-side-way, because they attacked me instantly.
