  1. take it for what it is worth, but we noticed the following reddit post/exchange: HA! Good Fun!
  2. sounds as if you got a new weekend (sunday through saturday kinda weekend) breakfast staple. HA! Good Fun!
  3. no xp gain for us, but we do get the Banner Over The Citadel completion message. am positive on the xp 'cause one such save is from immediate before the start o' act ii, after gaining mythic powha. we went through the whole becoming lord commander bit and xp did not increase in spite have having received the banner over the citadel completion message. we had a save immediate following galfrey's speech as well, so were ez to compare xp. downside means while it ain't showing in the quest log, one suspects we wouldn't gain or be able to complete the quest in act ii. could be a serious game breaker in drezen... or maybe not. who knows with owlcat. hopeful a few bugs would be addressed sooner rather than later, we instead did an unfair inevitable excess run. our clever girl velociraptor coulda' solo killed inevitable darkness as she had the blind fight feat (so no concealment misses) and a 30 charisma at the time which helped lead to an ab o' 111. scroll o' trnasformation and a few other personal buffs were useful. didn't even have visions of madness active or touch of good from sosiel. had the raptor attack after seelah got off her mark of justice, so she technical did not do all damage, but it were a near thing as seelah got horrible unlucky with the concealment misses as we only had true seeing on her and forgot to do echolocation in spite o' fact she had more than enough umd to read the appropriate scroll. couple o' crits and bonus damage from spells such as sun marked meant the dino damage output were overwhelming. if we had a skald merc in the party (we did sans mercs,) the damage woulda' been even more extreme. court poet could push the raptor charisma to 36, which gets her 3 more ab. vanilla skald provides a bunch o' extra natural attacks plus lethal accuracy. 'course if owlcat ever fixes the unlimited smites bug for divine hunter... HA! Good Fun!
  4. could do a baron munchausen thing and see if anybody catches on. "people ask me why i work at __________, but i believe the answer is obvious: i love a challenge. my doctoral thesis was just sold to a major hollywood studio and the finishing time for my 67th marathon was within 30 seconds of the world record, but working for _________ is what gets me out of bed in the morning. after climbing everest for the third time..." HA! Good Fun!
  5. so what? before their stunt was anybody unaware o' their issue? overreliance on fossil fuels? serious? they brought attention to a 'cause 'bout which almost everybody is already knowing w/o doing anything to shift opinions. pointless. narcissistic. dumb. garnering attention for a cause near everybody is already aware does not look to be useful. "henry, did you see this story with the kids and that sunflower painting?" "nope" "well, i know it sounds crazy, but it looks like producing and using fossil fuels is not only unsustainable but there are all sorts of health and environmental problems linked to fossil fuel use." "huh." ... a conversation held nowhere by nobody 'cause whatever is your position on fossil fuels, chances are you already got one. serious though, what is wrong with people these days wherein getting attention is an end in and of itself as 'posed to a means to bring 'bout change? however, the soup can kids didn't hurt nobody and the damage they caused were negligible. perhaps the next collection o' wannabee world changers learns and improves on the scheme. HA! Good Fun!
  6. that does not surprise us in the least. with such an observation we would assume most folks were trying to make a joke, but the years has taught us better. predict a double-down. security/law enforcement shows up and they find two young women each of whom were on there knees with their left hand glued to the wall behind 'em, presumably spouting off 'bout oil and injustice. am not sure what sorta threat the young vandals coulda' possible presented given the circumstances, but 'course the natural reaction is to give the youths a teeth rattling jolt o' electricity. *insert eye-roll emoticon here* 'cause make victims outta the dopes would be the obvious way to handle the situation? am suspecting the vandals changed no hearts or minds regarding fossil fuels, so from our pov their efforts were little more than self-indulgent narcissism. were yet another display o' the look at me mentality o' today's youth where instead o' doing the hard work to bring 'bout change, they instead went with a slap-dash effort garnered at generating a viral story which will no doubt be forgotten by next week. lazy. the kids with their soup is fails, but maybe the next group has a useful plan. as long as they ain't hurting anybody, am applauding their verve if not their sense. HA! Good Fun!
  7. "the reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."-- george bernard shaw HA! Good Fun! ps am drawing a hard line in regards to violent change. is no doubt situations when violence is required but from our pov is never ok to indulge violence as a form o' protest. use violence in defense o' others who need protection from violent actors? in rare circumstances am ok with such, but presumption is to resist violence to bring 'bout change. and
  8. is quite possible the vandals do not know the difference 'tween petroleum and plant-based fats. am ok with that. young, dumb and... am knowing we sound dismissive o' the protesters, and we are, but the kinda stoopid the vandals suffer is not a bad thing. am assuming they didn't do any real harm and their outrage may serve to motivate enough similar young and dumb people to change the world. probable not, but change needs to start somewhere. is an unfortunate truth but meaningful alterations to the dominant paradigm comes about when young and/or stoopid people ignore sober and smarty boomers. is tough to admit, but it is the people being unreasonable who make the world a better place. real change requires mind-numbing unreasonable which is why people such as Gromnir is poor suited to bring 'bout real differences. 'course being unreasonable usual leads to wasted effort and harm, but we need young and dumb if we wanna save the _____________. ... wanna punish the kids? make 'em clean the museum with non biodegradable paper towels and environmental harmful cleaning agents. HA! Good Fun!
  9. am even less understanding their anger at glass, 'cause is the protective glass which they decorated with soup. in any event, am finding fault in the vandal's aesthetic as seems obvious they overlooked the chance to do their stunt in ny and to a warhol pic... though admitted ny might have been the main obstacle for these kids. am not giving them a break however as is no excuses in art. regardless, as far as we can tell, the middle class socialist brats didn't do any real lasting harm, so, meh. on the downside their ineffectual efforts means they will be forgotten that much quicker. HA! Good Fun!
  10. less true after a recent patch. spontaneous prepared non angel spells do not get the level advantage a prepared caster angel does, which is mostly beside the point as you will be casting near exclusively the angel spells. even so, is a significant change particular at the mid levels. edit: @InsaneCommander playful darkness now has greater heroism on unfair, which means you need dispel it if you wanna succeed with fear effects. as an azata you should potential be able to get three rolls per check with favorable magic and fortune hex so have your court poet cast greater dispel magic with a quicken meta magic rod... and then reload if that don't work. however, assuming you are level 15, you need at least 13 levels o' court poet to have access to greater dispel magic. am not sure what your current build entails. got at least one level for thug? *shrug* HA! Good Fun! ps am pretty sure playful always had greater heroism, the change is how intimidation works in wotr. more than a few players learned how the well-nigh irresistible vavakia vanguard's intimidation-based fear effect resulted in a couple o' the more shocking encounters in the game. paladins were immune, but virtual everybody else, regardless o' spell protections, had to beat the intimidation dc, which is so not the same as a will save. regardless, am thinking the greater heroism protection against fear effects resulting from intimidation has finally been fixed.
  11. am not particular creative with the naming choices for our raptors-- clever girl or vince carter. edit: additional vid o' vince going beast mode, albeit in an all-star game. HA! Good Fun!
  12. didn't wanna overt spoil, but the start-from-scratch situation in act v with your army is precise why we suggested that focus on upgrades and buildings should be your act iii crusade priority. build a sooper army in act iii only to need start with a handful o' scrubs in act v is disheartening if you ain't prepared. got a number o' bugs which has us temporarily holding off further gameplay. the isle nine spawn bug is disappointing 'cause from what am able to see from boardie feedback, this has been a problem since the dlc release. in part 'cause we weren't advancing our dirge bard or our act iii aeon, we built a few test mercs and companion builds; discovered new and annoying bugs in the process. built a couple judge characters which is effective save for their most important and useful ability: judgement aura is not swift. 'course neither is sentence. this serious undermines the usefulness o' judge. zen archer shortbow damage is not calculated correct as it should be = to monk unarmed damage 'stead o' 1d6. based on past owlcat releases, we figured it would take a month post ee release to see wotr in decent condition, so we ain't surprised. the thing is, we were assuming far more changes to the base game as 'posed to quality o' life enhancements such as inventory search. regardless, am gonna wait a bit on an isle 9 solution before resorting to a mod fix. HA! Good Fun! ps am gonna observe how in act v we typical end up with two main armies as the frequency with which we got three simultaneous enemy forces attacking increases. camp of the camp of the mammoth lords is a frequent target. so too is tower of yath.
  13. there is a famous scene from witness for the prosecution (1957) which you likely never has seen but know even so 'cause has been done in variations a thousand times. "the question is, frau helm, were you lying then, are you lying now, or are you not in fact a chronic and habitual liar!" (will check internet) is verboten to attack the character o' a witness not 'cause we want politeness in court but 'cause to impugn character o' witness is deemed irrelevant and has a tendency to prejudice that witness in the eyes o' a jury. exception: propensity for falsehood is always relevant, which is one reason no lawyer would ever put trump on the stand to act as a witness in his own defense. regardless, the aforementioned scene, plays out everyday in courts 'cross the land, albeit with far less drama. impeach a witness as to their tendency for mendacity is relevant and allowable under the rules o' evidence in every US state as well as fed courts. however, is not some kinda objective standard. judge doesn't instruct jury to dismiss witness testimony if the witness lied 'bout their age on a facebook profile. assuming the witness offers a decent explanation which convinces the jury/judge they is telling the truth, such as speaking against their own interests, then a finder of fact may decide the testimony offered is reliable enuff. keep in mind that it is illegal to lie to the feds in most instances. by admitting he/she lied to feds, the witness exposed self to legal jeopardy. have witness explain why he/she were afraid o' speaking truthful to the feds may not be in trump's best interest, so the degree to which prospective defense attorneys seek to impeach on truthfulness is a tactical consideration which is all kinda schrödinger's cat at the moment. HA! Good Fun!
  14. Trump worker told FBI about moving Mar-a-Lago boxes on ex-president’s orders kinda tough to not indict assuming is true, and given the recent doj filing which mentions evidence o' obstruction, am thinking the release o' this story is hardly coincidental. keep in mind indictment is so not same as conviction, but is difficult to explain why the doj would avoid charges o' the x-president given the former guy's public efforts at self-immolation as well as the reveal that somebody in trump's employ spoke to the feds and gave testimony which makes don's knowledge o' the existence o' additional documents marked as classified less o' a question. such testimony is also pretty freaking strong evidence o' trump intent. add in fact that doj believes trump has not yet turned over all documents marked as classified and an indictment is all but a forgone conclusion in our estimation. meanwhile, at mar-a-lago... but again, am cautioning people who thinks the case against trump is a slam dunk. the obstruction aspect is looking stronger. however, the espionage act is not how any prosecutor would wanna go after trump, and a jury trial o' an ex-prez who has a cult-like following makes even a solid case a bit o' a gamble, and prosecutors ain't 'posed to gamble with justice. in any event, while have been directing our criticism most to judge cannon's overt buffoonery and her handling o' the pre-indictment civil stoopid she allowed team trump to pursue, am now at a point where we would admit genuine surprise if there were failure to indict. HA! Good Fun!
  15. agreed, but am likely not seeing the same as most. wednesday displayed emotion frequent in the new yorker comic, and am having difficulty recalling her doing anything overt sinister... although pugsley and his sister did prepare one christmas eve by waiting in front o' the fireplace, ready to turn up the heat on santa. truth to tell, pugsley were the addams family spawn pulling pranks with regularity. by contrast, wednesday silent smiled cheerful (frequent) or wept ironic, but she existed to react to situations as 'posed to foment mayhem. you would not recognize the ricci movie character or burton's take based on the one-panel comic. the thing is, am kinda glad burton's most recent waif is no wednesday, 'cause while the original were a sweet little girl with a curious perspective, it is unlikely charles addams' wednesday woulda' worked as the focus o' a 2020s tv show or movie. HA! Good Fun!
  16. experienced same problem at the same point, but we had no difficulty exiting the island at the start point and returning to the ship. as such we could, if we wished to, finish act iii. we got multiple saves, jic. got saves pre island 9 and saves after finishing sans the boss. am not certain how the fix will work. edit: depending on how long it takes to correct the problem, we may revisit your toybox solution, but that would involve installing toybox. regardless, is good to know we could possible fix the issue manually. finished gray garrison with our bard and will play up to drezen in hope owlcat address (again) the dlc non-spawning boss problem. HA! Good Fun!
  17. "is that classical music?" "yes doctor, it would seem to be." HA! Good Fun!
  18. the disappointing part for us were how few interesting (not necessarily difficult) encounters we had during the first nine isles... which 'cause o' the failure o' a boss to spawn is as far as we got. yeah, a few o' the undertows made us adjust our playstyle, and those will only be surprising on our first playthrough, but the dlc so far felt like little more than a mechanical and repetitive slog... albeit with a couple noteworthy items o' loot and a whole lotta sellable stuff. got a swell chapeaux and a pair o' gloves which is both improving our dual-wielding and high crit main character. there is also a nice heavy crossbow. haven't tested the longsword to see if the extra damage is added separate or not. all too often the additional damage is calculated in a new category and is frequent resisted by enemies. regardless, we will have a whole lotta extra coin when we finally make it to the abyss, and while xp growth in the isles is not particular quick, we nevertheless might just make level 15 as we enter the midnight fane. am s'posing the dlc serves its purpose if you are using it to test builds, but so far there were few encounters which impressed us insofar as level design. the game is especial buggy at the moment in many small and easily overlooked ways, but am expecting numerous such bugs will be addressed sooner as 'posed to later. the downside is, based on past owlcat experience, a few o' the new bugs will never be fixed. that said, am suspecting our dlc killing bug gets fixed soonish. am genuine impressed by owlcat speed in responding to wotr game stoppage obstacles. HA! Good Fun!
  19. complete aside, but now that there is a vendor in act iii where you may buy up to 99 pillar of life scrolls, am suspecting playful darkness becomes a much easier encounter for us. as we noted earlier, we don't like crazycakes and daeran rare fits our party, though is possible to have nenio cast creeping doom via a loremaster secret. regardless, nenio may use scrolls at her caster level, so between sosiel and nenio, and recognizing the spell duration, we should be able to stack +14 pillars at a single point, and such is cast pre combat. given our dlc3 obstacle, am gonna try and advance our bard, though am having second thoughts as the change from sacred to competence for guarded hearth is invalidating the bonuses from bard and skald attack bonus buffing songs. admitted, the manner am which am building the bard song is a nice bonus but hardly a deal breaker as we were attempting to see if a we could make use o' powerful enchantment spells as well as getting use outta the blackwater dc boosting greatsword. even so, kinda feels as if the signature ability o' the bard is wasted during boss battles 'cause am obvious gonna be using a guarded hearth. (edit) as to the difficulty spikes Gromnir and others has mentioned ad nauseum, am s'posing if you played kingmaker and nevertheless purchased wotr, is difficult to pretend to be caught off-guard by inexplicable challenging rando encounters and mobs. nevertheless, the manner in which owlcat balances encounters is almost as strange as the developer's stubborn belief that as more fans complain 'bout their puzzles, owlcat must necessarily increase puzzle frequency and importance. HA! Good Fun!
  20. "at some point," is mythic level nine and is an ability and not a spell, so no metamagic feats or rods. furthermore, if you are an endgame blaster, then you are already gonna be able to spam hellfire rays, so am admitted kinda curious what is the point o' this ability. am knowing you were joking, but have seen folks mention devil's hellfire rays at-will as some kinda significant benefit, but am not seeing a major upside. sure, if you are not a caster it may be kinda fun to smash foes with a melee weapon and then finish off an archer or two at range with your hellfire, but from a practical pov, am wondering how we would get use outta the extreme late game devil ability. HA! Good Fun!
  21. am thinking the obvious thing the new constantine needs is a unique and defining look. like it or not, the appearance o' a comicbook character is important, and am suspecting one reason why john constantine were popular in comics were his alloy depiction. += jenna coleman as constantine were ok, but were nothing 'bout the character which made us want to see more. on the other hand, a corinthian spinoff would personal be more intriguing than additional jenna coleman constantine material. HA! Good Fun!
  22. am suspecting elemental rampager druids got a kick in the cojones from a recent patch. no more elemental barrage for elemental weapon damage. gonna assume this change impacts elemental rampager. nevertheless, particular if you got a skald in a party, we can see an elemental rampager aeon doing exceeding well. a few o' the gazes is exceeding nice, but am gonna admit most is highly situational and is gonna be tough to not use the attack bonus boost for most o' the game. when you get the chance to activate two gazes simultaneous, your choice depends depends on if your party is attack of opportunity focused or a caster party... though as a rampager am guessing combat were in your mind. perhaps have a skald in your party to add additional natural attacks to your impossible to hit high dex leopard wildshape? am thinking most folks who haven't played aeon fail to realize just how effective is the dispel-on-hit powha o' an aeon with a high number o' attacks per round. those boss battles get much easier when in round one you eliminate all enemy buffs. the ever ready mythic feat stacks with the aeon attack of opportunity gaze, resulting in silly kinda party attack bonuses and damage when at least one party member crits. strength ain't bad neither, but am personal thinking high dex for better initiative + aeon dispelling is a major selling point. you serious wanna act first if at all possible. am knowing the neoseeker site is popular for wotr build ideas, but don't take it as gospel. is more to aeons than sooper buffed summons. angel is an obvious choice, 'cause as a full caster, angel spells is all but functional win button. am gonna admit we purposeful didn't do our angel as a full caster precise 'cause it felt kinda exploitive to be having spells which rendered us all but immune to everything while being able to spam screen clearing spells with impunity. nevertheless, at one point am likely to do a shaman or druid angel run, just 'cause is not oracle or cleric. if you go the strength route with your build, then azata ain't a bad choice as you get access to the incredible might sooper power. you got options. HA! Good Fun!
  23. +90% done with the ninth island of the act iii accessible portion o' the new dlc. unfortunate, the boss is missing. am s'posed to kill him (gender neutral) and take his treasure according to a message at the exit portal, but while am 100% in favour o' such a straightforward and bloodthirsty resolution, is impossible to accomplish if the boss don't spawn. moderate annoyed, but unsurprised. guess am gonna be advancing the dirge bard for a bit. (edit) according to the description o' the most recent hotfix for wotr, our issue were addressed. 'course we only arrived at isle nine after the hotfix were downloaded, so... (edit 2) figured we would give this another shot after seeing advice about resting on the world map. no luck. in fact, the undead regeneration which happens on the island nine map is now occurring in rt regardless if game is set to tb. is a bit like the rift of ruin bug which were happening at release. HA! Good Fun!
  24. am kinda simultaneous doing treasure of the midnight isles in act iii with our aeon as well as a new run with a dirge bard. for the hell o' it, we redid all o' blackwater on hard difficulty with the aeon and am now doing the dlc but have only finished island 1. the dlc vendor sells 99 scrolls o' everything, a large bag of holding, as well as a few endgame belts. is a lockpick iii at the bottom o' the regular item menu, which likely is unnecessary as is only a handful sooper difficult locks/traps in the game, but it were interesting nevertheless. maybe this eve we will go through island seven o' the first group... or maybe we finish off grey garrison with the bard. perhaps we finish off some rl stuff which has bee demanding our attention? unlikely. @Gorth consider the search o' all rooftops accessible with mass dimension door. is not a huge amount o' content on roofs, but there are a couple o' nice bits o' loot. warning: there is a particular challenging rooftop encounter in the same map as the slave markets. you might wanna save that fight until you are all but finished with alushinyrra. HA! Good Fun!
