You are aking Obsidian's employees to work for free. If LA does not care about the PC version and are not funding the changes that would make it a different game from the XBox version, OE can't do it. And LA has to approve everything. I doubt his buddy from MS would be happy if the ending of the PC version was so much better.

I play on a GeForce 4 64MB (drivers 66.93). I have some framerate issues when there is a lot of action on screen and there have been a few minor bugs, but nothing gamestopping. I'm 35 hours into the game and still have two planets to do, and the endgame. Awesome game. For me, only a minor patch would be needed. But even if there is not, it is playable so far. And enjoyable.

Are you sure you should have posted this in the technical support forum?

I too have had your first problem (the doors not there). I'm not sure if that's something that has been cut off the game or if it's a bug. As for your problem below the cantina, try to get back to the arena.

I saw somewhere that there are 2 lines fullscreen=1 in swkotor2.ini. Check it out.

2 small bugs I remember: SPOILERS ahead 1- On Nar Shadaa, after Ratrin Vhek asks for his ship and tells me about the secret compartment I head back to the ship. When I enter the ship there is a black screen (as if a cutscene was about to start) and when I get to the starboard dormitory there is no secret compartment. I saved and reloaded. Still nothing. I tried the autosave and it worked. Weird. 2- On Dxun, I was with Handmaiden and Kreia when I got to an old crashed ship. It appeared to be from the Mandalorian Wars (if I remember correctly). Anyway when I get out of the crater below the ship the two ladies did not follow. When a fight started they came and helped and after the fight the got back to their hiding place. I had to remove the characters from the party and add them to solve this. There were a few glitches here and there that I do not remember at the moment. Of course all this is not major, but it was frustrating for a few minutes. From what i've played so far (about half), this is one of the best game i've ever played.

I had Master Force Jump before I got my lightsaber. That's frustrating when you can only do it with a lightsaber.

I will wait a few days or weeks and come here to see the general feeling of the people who bought it. Then I will buy it or wait for a patch. If there is no patch and one would be needed, I will not buy it. My brother played the game and loved it, even the ending. The bugs were frustrating though.

At least read the post you quote and STOP posting spoilers in the general discussion forum. He did not have to read the whole thread because the first post had spoilers in it.

I've never seen a rental place with PC games, and never heard of somebody that had. In Montreal, Canada.

Yes, but if there are too many bugs, you can wait a little more to see when (if) it will be patched. I will certainly not buy a bugged game without knowing if it will ever work.

Your brother's black screen glitch on Dantooine is not because of DS. My brother played LS and it happened. After 59 hrs played he had to stop and start a new game to see if it happens again. :angry:

Is there anything that can be done if the black screen glitch continually happens at the same place even if the game is played from the console?

You're lucky it happened after only 7 hours. My brother is at 59 hours and this black screen appeared. And his X-Box is not "special" and he uses the original drive. He tried everything, from loading 3 other games, loading his last 3 saves, he got another disc, nothing changes. Quite frustrating.

My brother has the exact same problem. He can't access the internet right now so I ask for him. So please can somebody answer this. It's at the exact same place, but he plays lightside. Thank you. EDIT: I should add that his X-Box is totally legal and no hard drive is plugged or whatever, just the gamepad. I am quite happy that I did not buy an X-Box for this game and I am happy to wait 2 months for a ( hopefully) bug free game.
