  1. Ouch! Burn dude! PlanarJedi, you got burned! Burn. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't forget to add a pink side by line to your sig, DDG. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Beat you to it. *Grabs +5 Pink Robe of Smiting and +3 Pink Saber of the Goddess* If you want to take one of us, you have to take us all.
  2. Ouch! Burn dude! PlanarJedi, you got burned! Burn.
  3. You know, whether you believe me or not, I learned rather quickly that arguing with Hades_one is impossible. He knows his stuff, and you would be wise just to say "Yes sir" and move along. After all, this is not the thread you are looking for.
  4. Well, I am still "young in the Force"(few posts. lol.) and that doesn't sound too bad. Where do I sign up?
  5. So, why should anyone join the "Pink side"?
  6. Thank you GarethCarrots. Grayjo, this has been fun and somewhat enlightening, but this is getting out of hand(PlanarJedi?). Perhaps more, another time.
  7. WTF?!? No Kazic, I don't know. Sorry.
  8. First and foremost: Im simply arguing for the sake of discussion. Im curious to why you believe what you do and am only trying different counterarguments to ascertain your meaning. Secondly, if you assume that he is automatically correct, as well he should be for devising this, then explain something else to me: What is meant by "pure energy"?!? Opposed to what? Non-pure energy? You seem to want to play interpreter as much as I do, go ahead.
  9. Does that mean that a blaster is made of blasts, and doesn't blast? light is an aspect of energy(Analagy: A Ford is a car, but a car is not necisarily a Ford, right?) as is heat and all those other aspects i can't remember. You cannot possibly know what is meant by lightsaber, unless you are Lucas himself.... Are you? And planar, thats what i meant. Just because something can transform into light, doesn not mean it is composed of light. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I will grant you that point. However, I would assume that my previous statement: is correct. When were these movies made? I don't remember, but I doubt that he was considering all of the arguments started over the actual physics of a lightsaber. He simply messed up. I know that will piss some people off, but he makes mistakes like anyone else.
  10. No telling. "
  11. While that may be true, light is not a form of energy that has the ability to cut. Think of lasers and ions and the rest. They are energy that emit light. But that does not make them light. (Referencing your post, "Energy is not light.") Light is energy, but it is not a form of energy that you wield as a weapon. To say that you have a lightsaber, you are claiming that you have a weapon that is made of light. Not that you have a weapon that emits light.
  12. *Puts on +5 Robe of Smiting, and prepares to fight everyone.*
  13. Well, they might not make a game that you couldn't win, but have the end boss be so tough that you would have a lot of trouble with it. Say double the expected life count, 1.5-2x damage, stuff like that.
  14. I have to say that, scientifically, almost all of that is very sound. However, I must bring up one question: If, indeed, this is a "light"saber due to the blade and not the weight, how does light cut something? Hmmm? Im not making an argument for the weight issue because I find that to be stupid. However, light cannot cut anything. Ions or somesuch? Well, sure. But that would be an "energy"saber or something else, not a "light"saber. If everyone wants to get into the issue of why there can not be a black lightsaber based on the viewpoint that black cannot be a "light", then perhaps we should also acknowledge that "light" is not primarily used as a cutting tool. More accurately, we should probably assume that lightsaber is a misnomer.
  15. I just read through 42 pages of posts! (w00t) Teaches me not to log on since Saturday. You know, this whole pink side sounds interesting and all, but the only good side of it Ive heard yet is serving Kazic. Darth Gandalf kept saying that it was very rewarding without actually saying what the rewards are. Now, serving Kazic sounds like more of a dream than a reality, but the Dark side at least offers riches and power. And now for something completely different: It's December 6th! Anyone have the game?
  16. Well, if you join them you wouldn't be fighting more than one, now would you? No. You would fighting with one against another.
  17. What I got from the IGN review was that there was only one per planet, so I don't think it will happen that way. In addition, although any good gamer can find and exploit a weakness in the boss or game system to give his character an advantage, these are Sith Lords. They should be pretty tough by themselves. Hence the name, Lord.
  18. I don't know if Ive seen/heard it in that form before, but I really like that saying. To almost echo "Darth Abomination", do like philosophy or is that simply coming from an intelligent mind?
  19. Well, in the IGN review they say that most of every planet is hunting down the Sith Lord on it for guidance or destruction. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Huh. Haven't heard that before.
  20. If you email them, I'd bet they'd be happy to tell you if they copywrited it or not. As to what one guy said: The game might be copyrighted and even the indivdual clips of video might be copyrighted, but they could copyright the presentation/whole video, if they wanted. I think it should be okay to host somewhere, but if you're not sure...just email them.
  21. Okay, I have not read the IGN review yet, so I dont have comments on it right now, but I would like to throw in some insights that I got while going back over the OXM review(or whichever one has been circulating for a while): [EDIT:Meh. I read it. I haven't picked it apart yet, but nothing new that I saw.] I was sitting around and decided to take a closer look at OXM's TSL review. Of course, whether people mean to or not, when someone starts to write something they always seem to forget that their word selection reveals something that they might not want to........ Here's something I noticed: Other Darths? Plural? Everyone keeps talking about the "3 Sith Lords"-Sion, Nihilus, and the woman-but although we have been led to believe there are more, we have not been sure. That would be pretty conclusive evidence in my book. Also, something else that sounds really cool: Now, what I'm curious about is this: Is focused and wise only limited to the LS? The DS will give in to anger; the LS can't(or they wouldn't be LS anymore). After all, I've seen very few of the people I know that were cold and calculating on the DS. It's possible, I know. I'm not being biased about this; I simply wonder how they programmed it. The third and last thing I saw in the review that I haven't seen commented on: So....the entire team might leave me if I mess up? LOL. Now there's an incentive to be a team player! The way I'm hearing things lately, the most important traits I'll have will be Awareness and Charisma. I might not be able to fight my way out but that might be the only way to keep myself safe within my own party. Both by exposing my hidden enemies and keeping my friends close. Ha ha. I sound so paranoid. By the time I actually play this game, I'll actually be turning my PC around to make sure nothing is behind him.
  22. That would be pretty interesting to me. Handmaiden as the Echani? No offense to any of the ladies in here, but, stereotypically, I dont think of women as excellent hand-to-hand fighters. I can see it now...a high level woman Echani: "Dude! You just got beat up by a girl!" LOL. That would be a great option in dialogue.
  23. Ah-hem. Whoa. I just watched IGN's Force Power's video and...whoa. Now here's what is really funny, and it might be considered partly spoilers so I can rightly post it here: You can see some new lightsaber forms in there. We all know they exist, but it's worth DL'ing the vid just to see a few of those moves. The stab after Insanity, or the long, graceful swipe after Force Kill. Also to note, We all knew we would be going back to Korriban. But what's left in those tombs? Why is the PC out there? After all, over 5 years surely no one died and replaced the important Sith who were buried there.
  24. Ships on Monday, should be in stores Tuesday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks man, you really are a do-gooder. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well.....yeah. Even though, I play DS every once in a while, and enjoy it, the only real reason I use Darth in my name is b/c it sounds cool. If I knew more about the game Id offer to help/answer more. (As it is, Im having to be the one asking, not answering, questions! <_< )
  25. Okay. Thank you. But that wasn't the point. The point was trying to say that unless something has gone horribly wrong, you shouldn't be able to take a Prestige Class that you don't have appropriate levels of in the base class. It doesn't follow any logical or d20(to my limited knowledge) sense.
