  1. I don't expect Kotor2 to be radically different on PC. The first game was a decent port except for the controls, poor mouse support, etc. You can't change the design too much. The simultaneous release probably means that both platforms have their own 'version'.
  2. Good idea. Sabers don't need to 'bash' doors open, they can melt the lock. If they do it Qui-Gon style that would be great.
  3. Longer than that I think, like the time it took for you to receive a saber in Kotor. Of course you weren't even a Jedi on Taris. You have to "work" for your saber, that implies more than a quest.
  4. Possibly. Don't bet on it though.
  5. Yeah, I meant a revan-esque twist. There should be no 'revelations' for the PC. A storyline twist is fine.
  6. Yes, that picture is sweet, but the simultaneous release is even better - very wise since there'd be a lot of pissed off PC owners. I'd expect a few suicides too.
  7. yeah, probably true, but even the darkest sith needs help to rise the ranks and reach the top. After that you can discard or kill your followers. A few might be apprentices but they know their role. You lead, they follow.
  8. They reused the Korriban theme in Ahto city? That's sick! Those fish heads have a lot to answer for.
  9. There must be a reason for that. I'd prefer a newb, that would explain the lack of powers and lightsaber, but in Kotor2 you are a 'veteran'. I'm sure they're setting us up for something, we just don't know what yet. Another twist would be ludicrous.
  10. Yes. Sad, but true.
  11. Don't let it bother you, Lucas can't explain it either. Continuity was thrown out the window a long time ago.
  12. When I say lackluster I don't necessarily mean bad. I just don't think it felt like a Star Wars score, except for the famous music at the start! Korriban was the most dramatic to me because that reflected the situation. It gave you a sense of dread which suits Korriban perfectly. The other themes I can't even remember.
  13. An original game please, not a rehash or sequel.
  14. I'm a darksider, and I'd be more than willing to keep any character around that helps me. It means they've learned their place. If they have nothing to offer they can leave or die.
  15. The music was okay, I wasn't exactly blown away though. My favorite piece was on Korriban. That was the most epic in a rather lacklustre score.
  16. I don't think Coruscant will appear in Kotor2... It's impossible to do justice to Coruscant with the odyssey engine. Yeah, we have no proof yet so call it a feeling.
  17. I think most people would agree with you, but not if it means those floor/ring puzzles. You know, Naga Sadow's tomb to get his sword (ring puzzle), and opening the Rakata computer room (floor puzzle). Some people had major problems with the H pattern. They never found that journal - haha! Critical-thinking skills are fine, but not if they're so frustrating people give up.
  18. No it doesn't say who is returning but the designers have to be careful. In my game; Jolee, Juhani, and Mission died. Carth ran away of course. If I'd played a female Carth would also be dead. That's 4 characters who can't return if they allow you to choose darkside. So the list you made is fairly accurate I think, except for Mission (dead), Carth (possibly dead). All this is avoided if your decisions at the start decide who appears, but I don't think they'll go that far.
  19. I always use Mission on the Leviathan. The situation cries out for a stealth approach. I've never even tried the other characters. I probably should but I can't bring myself to - Mission feels so right. You get that "Obi Wan sneaking around the Death Star" feel. Jedi would like that but what if you're a Sith? The assassin prestige class might answer that. That should involve lots of sneaking around with silent kills.
  20. ok, here's a quote Whether it answers your question fully is another thing. So, some will be returning but not all, which is a smart decision, imo.
  21. I can't give you a direct quote but I'm sure I read it somewhere.
  22. Icewind Dale II "The Town Of Targos" http://www.inonzur.com/music.html (mp3 version) It is reminiscent of Conan but not exactly the same, definitely borderline rip-off though.
  23. I meant when they're alive. Looting dead bodies is fine by me. I don't mind that either so long as it's their choice. In Kotor you can take NPC weapons and leave them fighting with their fists. That ain't right. Some items should be personal that you can't use, e.g. Carth's blaster.
