  1. A real killer of parent/child relations... Please ? Beg, beg beg! I need... "thats not fair, I've only had 8 this week!" etc. Edit: I was especially fascinated by those that had little metal miniatures in them, that was before I started collecting and playing Warhammer.
  2. All you need to know about romania: http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/ro.html :D
  3. The guy definitely got some kind of talent :D Two movies who are #37 & #38 on the top 100 bottom list (Alone in the Dark & House of the Dead)
  4. Blasphemy! Heroes of Might & Magic 4 ranks up there with Master of Orion 3 in sheer belovedness of sequels...
  5. Slightly on-topic: Have you guys got your work, life, exams, new hosting etc. sorted out yet ? ... Who am I kidding ? ... Where is the next update ?!? :'(
  6. Var dine ord hedning, man ved aldrig hvem der kigger een over skulderen :D
  7. No flames, just a referral to some oppionions. An old BIS'er once wrote a few words about what he considered good and bad in MMO's and even mention a couple of names: http://www.winterwind-productions.com/modu...=showpage&pid=3 Any which way, wish you fun
  8. http://www.winterwind-productions.com/modu...showpage&pid=71 To be honest, I know very little about Myst myself, but there is a small and loyal fan group out there. In case you are into this stuff, have a look at the interview with Katie Postma (UBI soft Myst community manager).
  9. Arghh... Now you sound like my old teacher, praising the virtues of Oberon
  10. *Grab Patch* ;)" Looks great. good timing too. I'm sort of between FO2 games right now (playing BG1&2)
  11. After years of playing the UK version of Fallout 2 I got my hand on the "full" US version, it felt undescribable, finally getting those little thieves *on* the screen in The Den. Payback time... me and my flamethrower cleaned out those little pickpockets while reciting a long list of grievances over items disappearing mysteriously
  12. So I just do the quests without joining them?(Ive already wacked Salvatore) Could you say, without too much spoilers, if joining a family will have any major consequences beyond New Reno? Not too much spoilers... one family has a (last) quest for you that gives you a sneak peek into things regarding the past. And a very nice npc if you have insanely high science skill. If you don't, you'll get an otherwise interesting npc although I never tried that (always went for insanely high science)
  13. Doesnt anyone know anything about this? Id hate for it to be so that I join the mob and then get "sorry, youre a mobster and we wont let you into our town anymore" or something like that later in the game. Zagor> well, there are no parts of the game that specificly require you to blast children with miniguns, so I dont really see any issue there. its an RPG, you're supposed to be able to do anything thats possible in real life, good or bad. Depends on how much of a spoiler you want... It's theoretically possible to work for all four families, but if you don't do some of the quests in a particular order, you'll become a "made man" for one family and stuck with them. But. you don't really "need" any of them, they are just there for a lot of money, girls, booze, xp, interesting story and stuff
  14. That is going to be on a case by case basis. Before Kotor, their last memorable games would be X-wing & Tie fighter (and their various adventure games) all of which is a lots of years ago. Kotor 1 was an ok game and 2 also, each with their own strengths and weaknesses (each game has it's own fanboys who are blind to their favourites shortcomings). Odds are, neither will be reinstalled and played in 3 years time. If L.A. is going to release stuff with approx. 1 year development cycles, then no, not really. If they learn a lesson and start caring more about quality than xmas releases, then possibly.
  15. Still waiting for Atari to release a patch for Pac-Man that fixes the endgame bug :("
  16. No idea about Jade Empire, didn't follow it, no plans on getting it (don't have a console), but for the rest, it was Bioware who turned L.A. down not the other way around. Makes you wonder if they saw the time shedule and went: Go &^%$ yourself :D
  17. It's not always just a question of which staff does it (I haven't been particularly impressed with Biowares games since BG2 either and even the main story arc in that one was silly). An equally important factor is the budget and time schedule. There are things you just can't rush by throwing more people at it in a project, so sufficient time and testing *is* part of what makes a game easier to digest. Some companies (no names mentioned, there are more than one) have figured it out and become the junk food of the gaming industry, games that are addictive and easy to get into and just as easy to forget and never get back to.
  18. Exactly. She isn't evil, she just has an agenda whose goal is slightly beyond your comprehesion at the beginning of the game. Ultimately, she want people to be "free", whether they care or not and you, the player, is her tool to accomplish that. Thats why she tolerates your excesses, whether they be Dark or Light side. Of course, no matter what you do, you will have failed her in the end (thats what return to Dantooine is about), if you are Dark side, you have become a destroyer of life which is something that must be stopped (like Nihilus) or if you are Light side, you made your choice, not out of a sense of real choice, but because you were afraid. Kreia doesn't need whimps.
  19. Kreia is evil, she would try destroy the whole force for her own motives. The only reason you're "special" to her is that you provide her with that opportunity. Depends on whether she wants to destroy the force for her own personal gain or because she shinks the force is an evil manipulative entity that the universe is better off not being controlled by. IIRC, she doesn't want to destroy it (thats what Nihilus is doing), she wants people to live independently of it (i.e. not needing it).
  20. Kreia isn't evil, why should she pretend to be not ?
  21. Of the available choices, it would have to be Taris. The only two pieces from that game, that I truly remember was the Starforge which sounded very Star Warish (reminded me of the scene with the Emperor in the Death Star in RotJ, awesome) and the awful plink-e-ti-plonk background noise from Manaan. The kind of background noise I would expect to hear while shopping in a supermarket
