  1. Crimson Empire isn't too bad. Outside that, I haven't found anything worth mentioning, though...
  2. If there's an actor that can't complain about that, it is Harrison Ford.
  3. No, it's not. And since the judge's opinion is what counts, you auto-lose. Game over.
  4. I'd voted for Dooku but after E3 I'm so frustrated with his utter lameness that I'm giving my vote to Malak.
  5. 10000 years of civilization and still we don't understand that prohibition *doesn't* work.
  6. Those are all good points. But at any rate, that is, at best, unexplained.
  7. Yeah, but even that padawan running from the temple put up more of a fight than most of the "masters" from what we can see. Sloppy, sloppy.
  8. I agree. Bounty hunters are extremely effective Jedi killers. However, *not* with blasters. And the greatest asset of a bounty hunter is his experience... and that can't be cloned. No, the Jedi purge is probably the weakest part of the movie. Aayla just getting shot in the back before she can even draw her lightsaber and all. Anyway, all that stuff makes me wonder. How the hell did the clones go from ruthless Jedi-killers to pathetic flat-footed idiots that get their asses handed to them by a handful of smugglers and their teddy bear allies? I thought that Anakin being "created" by the Sith was what Lucas tried to imply, but what of "the prophecy"? Was that part of the Sith scheme? A glimpse of it by a Jedi?
  9. And... don't forget the lightwhips and golden flying pirate ships.
  10. Yeah, I know. However the one game I'm trying to run and gave me the idea is a mid '90s 3d game that is too stubborn to run properly under XP so to have it run properly under DOSbox I'd need a few A64 5ghz. And at any rate, partition management is something I've been wanting to learn for quite some time but I've always been too lazy to learn. Thanks for the help.
  11. In my endless quest for greatness in gaming I have come across a few oldies that just *won't* run under XP. So I thought I'd do something every geek wannabe wants to do: different partitions. I'm formatting the HD soon anyway, so it doesn't really bother me if the partitions can only be made at that point. What I need help with/info about is: How do I create different partitions with different OSs? (tools needed if any?) How do I select which partition is used to boot the system? Are different file systems compatible and if so, to what extent? (ie. in one partition XP @ NTFS and in the other W98 @ FAT16/32) And that's about all I can think of right now. I'm sure I'll come up with more questions later. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not sign up on another forum just for this. :D
  12. Is this a direct quote from George W. Bush? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gold. Well, it sucks that the odds of each outcome are always mathematically calculated. There should be "auto-win" conditions, especially when the units fighting are from different eras. An ironclad sinking my nuclear submarine? Preposterous!
  13. That's pretty cool. However I still think he owned those fools too easy. They kicked lots of ass in the comics and in the Clone Wars cartoon, and they die in a fraction of a second.
  14. Speak for yourself. If I come out of an exam tearing my shirt and pulling my hair it's unlikely I have passed the exam. The opposite isn't necessarily true, but usually if I have studied, exams are a breeze. Now for our little useless info tidbit for the scientifically illiterate: Alternating current is much more deadly than direct current.
  15. Well, that sounds like it could work (never tried that game, though), but I can see how forcing people to purchase a gamepad only to play a particular game could hurt sales.
  16. I don't think Palps could have stood against Anakin after the showdown with Mace. It could all be a scene, but if so, he was taking a HUGE risk with it. But overall, I don't think Anakin's fall was rushed. He didn't just turn evil, he was confused by the emperor's lies (which were one of the most solid parts of the movie IMO) and all he cared about was saving Padme, pressed even further by his prophetic dreams. Dreams that I think probably were Palps' handiwork to begin with...
  17. Yeah, only Kreia wasn't evil. Just senile.
  18. Read my post again! )
  19. I don't know about Georgia or the eastern countries that used to be part of the old USSR (Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, etc), but Ukraine for one isn't doing that bad. For instance I think their importance as a touristic destination is rapidly increasing. And as for the others, well, they are now free from the Russian rule, so it's up to them to get the country going. At least now they have a chance to to run the country, which they didn't have under the USSR.
  20. And here I thought you were a respectable gamer... <_< I think you can redeem yourself easily, though. Aren't the old Indy games abandonware by now?
  21. Gee, thanks Jags. The one thing I needed right now was you reminding me how great is a game I'll probably never play. Stop rubbing my nose, you!
  22. If they can actually manage to get the saber action right, I'm all for a JK-style game. Just imagine Vader growing tired of running after that puny Jedi and drawing his concussion cannon... " But at any rate, the saber mechanics are, to me, the most important part of such a game. I don't want them to turn it into another bunny jumping, air-slashing, rollfest. That was fun, but it's got old.
